The AIM Flame, reposted from Lux
SmokeyMyShetland [2:39 PM]: You Ass hole Gryphon Guild Meanie!
IllucianLux [2:39 PM]: No, you got that wrong, I'm the Superbitch.
SmokeyMyShetland [2:39 PM]: *cheers*
SmokeyMyShetland [2:40 PM]: Yes you are!
IllucianLux [2:40 PM]: And who are you? Random IMing Insulter?
So, at first I was letting the matter drop. After all, Lux had been attacked by other trolls before, and I left it to her to investigate if she wanted to. I did make a half-assed effort to find the owner of this SN, but seeing as I wasn't all that computer savvy, it ended up as bust. Who knew that it was just one public profile away?

Given this obvious statement here, and clearly there was bad blood already between Lux and PB, there's obviously some motive here to tear Lux down. BUT, she denied ever sending the IM. In fact, her AIM account was hacked, and for one whole day her entire friends list had been blocked. Sure... whatever you say. Here's a thought: If your account is hacked into, and so your password is compromised... why would keep on using it? Wouldn't you go get another account? Well, later you'll see she's got so many different AIM accounts, it just about boggles the mind how all the identities can be kept up with.

The second one.
Oh,okay I thought since it was artork and that I was a fan of it I could post it there, also my because of what i already told you.
Bye the way that wasn't me who said that to your over AOL IM. I wasn't online that day.
It may have been a hacker because when I logged on the next day all of my buddies were blocked.
But if you don'y believe me, I am sorry. Okay?
-Punky
p.s. Please believe me it's true!
Commentary: Ok well this is a replication of the e-mail from the fanart section, but it pertains to the AIM flame. This was where she theorized that her AIM account was hacked. Theorized, mind you. She didn't say that it was for certain a hacker. Insidious plan here, to put the thought into our minds that it was a hacker. All her buddies were blocked. Amongst those buddies, probably included Keirala and others from the Guild who still kept in touch with her. They'll pop up in a bit.

My reply to her second.
I don't accept that explanation. No hacker I know would randomly IM someone with "You ass hole Gryphon Guild meanie!"
Lying isn't making it any easier on you.
-Illucian
Commentary: Here, again, Lux replies with a short statement of disbelief. But here, I have to agree with her suspicions. Who would have malice enough and the computer skill to hack into PunkBat's AIM account, block all her friends, and then proceed to IM Lux with an flame that is so specific to the Guild? Perhaps, gasp, some Other Guilder with a vengeance? Yeah right. Still, I e-mailed PunkBat after this hacker incident was shown to me. I was most skeptical, but I continued the role of Devil's Advocate. I was intent on getting some sort of explanation out of PunkBat as to what had happened. If she was being framed, who could have done it? Why would they have done it? Similarly with the fanart and the cousin issue, I had asked her to ask her cousin to send me an email saying that she did indeed get permission to post those pictures on the Board. That email from the cousin never came. So here, going on the same family lines, I had asked her if she had someone in her family, a sibling perhaps like a brother, who would knowingly cause trouble and be intimate enough to know about her activities at the Guild.

Just received this. I'll forward the others later.
I'm not lying! You shouldn't say what you think even if it's the truth or not.
I am telling the truth! You have to believe me!!!
If you don't believe me then fine, I guess that I'll have to tell all of my friends that I wont be able to have fun anymore because Illucian doesn't believe the truth!
And I know that you don't want me unbanned anywasy because you despise me for your actions!
-Punkbat
P.S. I'm not trying to be rude/mean but haven't you noticed that all bannings or bad insidents on the Gryphon Guild involve you? Please take a second to think about that.
Commentary: Wow, will you look at that. Panic attack? Maybe. Let's see though... watch for some telltale signs here that PunkBat has gone off the end. Quote: You shouldn't say what you think even if it's the truth or not. Is anyone else seeing something wrong? Yeah, so Lux can't say the truth! Even though it IS the truth? And right after that is the whole "I'm telling the truth!" and "You have to believe me!!!" spiel. You know, I think a few murderers in the world have also said those same words at one time or another... but saying that would be close to damaging PunkBat's reputation here, wouldn't it? Well, not that she hasn't broken what bit of trust there was before with the hacker deal. Also take note about the idea that she can't have any fun anymore because ILLUCIAN is making her life hell by not believing the truth. The truth that is PunkBat's word! Yes, let's all believe her. "insidents": Make AMPLE note of that word and the spelling of it. It WILL pop up later.
Oh, and I love how her post script starts off with "I'm not trying to be rude/mean." This always reminds me of an RP log I have. A Native American tells a white guy: Why is it you white people always say "No offense" before you say something offensive?

Truth is I'm not sure what to really say anymore, Illucian keeps making evrything harder on me and now I am scared to respond to her. So I hope you don't mind that I tell you the whole issue.
I don't have a little brother and I'm not sure how he could have gotten onto my AOL IM account. Illucian was lying about that and I NEVER EVER said that to her! Honestly it wasn't me, I'm try to gather some ,"evidence" But I'm not sure hwat to show/tell you. I do know several people on the Gryphon Guild that absolutely despise me.
-Punk Bat
Commentary: This e-mail was between PunkBat and I, shortly after she tried to convince Lux through an IM that she was telling the truth. Of course, hostilities between an admin and a banned person wouldn't be a good condition to have when you're supposed to have objectivity, so at the time I decided to try and step in to help Lux and PunkBat solve this mystery of Who Sent the IM? Again, the theory that she had a little brother who was causing trouble was dispelled by her e-mail here. Yet the wording is funny. She doesn't have a little brother, but she doesn't know how he could have gotten into her AIM account. Who's "he" in this case? Or maybe she was simply repeating for rote what I'd sent to her. I don't know. I asked her for evidence that showed she'd been hacked. I wasn't sure myself of what evidence she could find. I had expected, say some IM chat logs with friends from her buddy list after who she had told first about the hacking. Or, at the time her EZBoard account was also "hacked" by someone, some threads where this EZBoard hacker had posted some bad material somewhere. Nothing bad had showed up at the Guild. Her note that there were people at the Guild who hated her was interesting. I had to wonder who hated her. Besides Lux of course. And to some degree, I was getting very annoyed that I wasn't getting jack shit out of her. No concrete facts or anything. What the hell was I supposed to build my defense on, when I had no alibi?
06-02-2002: Lux and PunkBat chat log: AIM
Commentary: This is a short log between Lux and PB, and it was about her banning, and the AIM Flame. Suffice to say, PunkBat keeps getting close to hysterical everytime she's confronted about this. Vehemently insisting that she's telling the truth and all. She tries apologizing, but I ask you rhetorically - would you believe these apologies are sincere? Or rather are they spur of the moment pity-wanting forgiveness-seeking remarks? Nevertheless, apparently there was some RP forums incident that I was unaware about and still am. But you know, I don't want to know about that. It's nothing.
EZBoard Ban thread pg 1 | 2 | 3
Commentary: This is the longest one yet, and here are the last two pages for the thread as well. Make note of the IP addresses that TalenBlaze and CatGirlKisuna post with, because those pop up later on IP search. Also note how vehemently TalenBlaze decided to flame Lux. Not to mention again, this "I don't want to say this, but" mentality going. Is that kind of disclaimer going to work? Nope. Amidst the innocents that were obviously confused and surprised at a sudden flareup, there were still some levelheaded responses. The consensus was pretty much there: Only Punkbat can save Punkbat. Although at this point, I'm not so sure I can agree. One thing to point out is this tendency to note how PB here has problems. Social issues. I'm not one to rag on someone for having socializing problems. Hell, I am a bit anti-social myself. But using this as a pity-point to get unbanned? And, after all, if her accounts were hacked into, what does she have to go into this whole 'woe is me!' spiel for? She might as well have pleaded temporary insanity. Obviously, at this point her "I was hacked!" story wasn't going to cut it. It probably never will. Why? Because it's a lie. And if it isn't a lie, well she's destroyed her credibility anyway by being non-sensical.
Special things to note: Keirala at page 3, noted that she talked to PunkBat and that PB actually admitted to flaming Illucian on AIM, and was sorry about it. So, where was this mystery hacker? Oh, but her EZBoard account was hacked. Or was it? Where's the fact and where's the fiction? Well, I tried to figure that out, but in the meantime I had to confirm with Keirala about this confession.
KeiralaGryphon (Keirala) and Saihawk (me, Stormy) AIM Chat log: July 27th, 2002
And after all this happened, we hear next to nothing for, oh, a couple of months.
