Forgotten Church Basement(#1279RJLM)
This basement is only partly below ground level, and there are windows evenly spaced on the walls, right below the ceiling level. The main part of it is a large open area with a small kitchen in one corner and a large, ratty carpet in the center, covering the cement floor. There is a rather large window in the kitchen; it looks as though it might actually open onto the street. On the wall opposite the kitchen is a large bin, and there are folding tables along the wall perpendicular to it. On the other wall there are a few folding chairs, many fewer than one would expect from the number of tables.
A hallway next to the kitchen leads off to two offices and what once might have been a classroom.

Sanctuary

Trouble is laying upon the ground along one of the walls, idly chewing on a piece of beef jerky. The rest of it pressed to the ground under his left paw.

Yi unlocks the basement door with a quick click, and opens the door. "Rotem?" She glances down towards the floor from the top of the stairs for the cub.

Trouble rises up as he hears Yi, moving to stand along the wall, next to the stairs, out of her view.

Yi gazes around a short time longer, then finally sighs, narrowing her eyes slightly. "I know you're in here." She descends the steps hopping off the 3rd to last and landing lightly before heading towards the back classrooms to hunt for the cub.

Trouble runs towards Yi from behind, jumping up to knock her to the ground, he licks at her face from the side. His tail wags furiously. Tell you can get, get.

Yi hears the claws clicking on the ground and spins just in time to get knocked over by the cub. Back slamming onto the concrete floor beneath her, she coughs with a whoosh of air as a tongue licks out at her face. "Get off me, cub," she rasps out, pushing the cub off her.

Trouble scampers off of Yi and to her side, he turns about, looking up to her. Trouble get Three-Blades! Trouble show good.

The newmoon gets up and retrieves an old backpack she left up at the top of the stairs. "Where's the clothes I bought you yesterday? We're going to dedicate them today."

Trouble shifts up to homid, passing through the other forms. He trots off to the backroom and gets dressed, returning with a pair of jeans and no shirt, and the k-mart bag of clothing. "Lets go."

Trouble contorts and blurs as he is transformed. Trouble shifts into Homid form.

Yi takes the bag of clothing, stuffing it into her backpack while going up the stairs. "After we get this done... we might have time for some training." She and the cub exit, heading out the church as well on their way to a far away place.

[One @tel #300 later]

Yi jogs down the path and onto the barnyard of what looks like a Little House on the Prairie style farmland. Shrugging off the pack around her shoulder, she glances around before opening up the barndoor. "We'll do it in here."

Rotem breathes heavily. "Wha.. Where are we?" He pauses and continues towards the enterance of the barn before adding, "I have to stop, I have to go to the bathroom."

Yi breathes a little deeply, but she has been running this path for quite a while now, and isn't too affected by it. Motioning off towards the fence around the barnyard, she turns and waits for the cub to do his business.

Rotem wanders off towards the fence, pulling down his zipper and watering the foliage. He returns a few moments later and points to the barn. "What are we going to do with the clothing? I mean, even spandex is gonna rip."

"You'll see," Yi replies, waiting for the cub to go into the barn before entering herself.

Rotem strolls into the barn, eyeing the door to the left and right, not wanting to fall for the trick he pulled on Yi. Then he steps in.

Rotem opens one of the doors to the barn, and disappears into its cavernous depths. Rotem has left.

Opening one of the two doorways, you are able to gain passage into the vastness of the farm's barn.

Big Red Barn
The barn is built in the old style, a vast three level structure that is greater in height than a mere three stories, actually closer to five. Great wooden posts support the weight of the upper levels and roof, sunk into the hard-packed dirt floor of the first level like a sparse forest of regularly spaced, naked trees. The stalls and flagstones which once were here have been torn out to leave a rather open area where even crinos Garou may roam freely without fear of running into anything but the supports or the walls or the ladder at the back which allows access to the other two levels.
The first two levels are relatively open to each other, the second being only little wider than a catwalk going around all the walls but the front one, which has massive, twenty foot tall doors set into it. The third level is a true second floor except for a place cut out that allowed hay to be tossed down to the ground floor when the farm was actually worked. Now, it is a hayloft where Garou can sleep outside of the house.

Yi takes out the K-Mart bag, drawing out the clothes and handing them to Rotem. She motions to the center of the room. "Dress in the clothes you wish you be dedicated to you, and stand there."

Rotem arches an eyebrow, taking the clothing from her. "What is d-dedicated?" he asks. Not waiting for a reply as he dresses in the clothing, pulling on the t-shirt, jacket, and jeans. He keeps the boxer shorts he was wearing before as well.

"It means the object is bound to your body. Even if you take off your clothes, and lose them somewhere, you will be able to feel where they are. When you shift, they grow and shrink, and will most likely disappear as you shift to your furred forms." She takes out a small bottle of Evian water and sets it down in a line from Rotem's feet. All her movements seem graceful, concentrated as is her voice. "Now... what I perform on you, is what we call the Rite of Talisman Dedication." She straightens up, gazing at the cub. "You must concentrate on this rite, and feel the spirits in the object you wish to be one with you."

Rotem replies with a resounding, "Huh?" obviously not understanding what she is talkign about. "Ok, I'm gonna run with the a-assumption that you are s-still not insane. But w-what the heck are you t-talking about? Feeling spirits?"

Yi somehow remains calm during the cub's questions, taking out a small packet of matches from the bag, a glinting small stick of metal probably obtained and shined up from the junkyard, and sets these down on either side of the cub. "Everything has a spirit, like living things have souls. Just..." She searches for a more layman's term, "Like the Force, in Star Wars. You have a spirit, and so do the clothes you wear, the air you breathe, the water you drink. The Force is what connects everything together. So, just concentrate for now. Quiet your mouth, ask with you mind to let your clothes become one with you. Are you ready?"

Rotem shakes his head, "No, I'm not ready, what d-do you mean concentrate on m-my clothes? How do I do that?" The spiritual concepts obviously alien to him.

Yi narrows her eyes at the cub and just simply states. "Keep thinking that you don't want your clothes to rip off and leave you naked every time you shift."

Rotem chuckles, "Ok, now that I c-can do!" He turns to look forwards again, and concentrates on not ending up as 'Rusty eye candy' again.

"When I shift to crinos, shift with me." Yi takes a long, slow breath to calm herself, and slowly walks around the cub once, humming a low monotone note. Once she rounds the cub, she moves to his right, picking up the small metal rod and touching it to his right shoulder. In her native language, she states something, repeating it again in a more understandable English, "Spirit of Earth and Metal, I call you. Part of this cub and his clothes, become one with him."

Rotem follows Yi with his eyes, still thinking about his clothing, although curious about what she is up to.

Yi walks to the back of the cub, raising one hand and making a quick sweeping motion. The cub feels a gust of air blow against him lightly. Again, Yi states something in Cantonese, followed by her translation, "Spirit of Wind and Thunder, I call you. Part of this cub and his clothes, become one with him."

Rotem feels a chill run up along his spine as the air brushes past him, he closes his eyes for a moment, but keeps his mind set on his clothing, as Yi instructed.

Yi continues to the left side, stooping down and picking up the match pack. She draws one out, flicking it against the side of the pack and watches it spark to life, burning brightly and then wavering for a few seconds in a tiny flame. Her statement, followed by the translation, "Spirit of Fire and Lightning, I call you. Part of this cub and his clothes, become one with him." She moves the match fairly close to the cub's side, so he feels the heat of the flame, then flicks it to turn the flame into smoke. The match she sweeps in a similar motion as she did before, the smoke trailing with her moves. She sets the used match down with the pack, and moves to the front of the cub.

Rotem follows Yi's movments with her eyes, reminding himself that she probably isn't insane, despite her strange actions.

Opening the bottle of water, she pours some of the contents onto her hand and lets it drip over Rotem's shoulder. Again, the intonation, and her words following, "Spirit of Water and Ice, I call you. Part of this cub and his clothes, become one with him."

Rotem feels the water drip on his shoulder as he follows Yi still.

Briefly bending down to pick up a small amount of the dirt on the barn floor, Yi lifts this towards the ceiling and calls once more in both languages, "Spirit of Gaia, the Earth mother, and Luna the Moon sister, I call you. Part of this cub and his clothes, become one with him. I dedicate these clothes to Rotem, Ahroun of the Bone Gnawer tribe of the Garou, Warrior of Gaia's Children and Chosen Ones." At this, she shifts, growing and blurring up into crinos form.

Yi contorts and blurs as she is transformed. You shift into Crinos.

Rotem shifts as well, as she had instructed him.

Rotem contorts and blurs as he is transformed. Rotem shifts into Crinos form.

As the cub shifts, he can feel the clothes begin to grow along with him. Gradually the fur lengthens and starts to cover the clothes. At that point, the jacket, shirt, jeans, and yes even the boxers, disappear as if absorbed into Rotem's furred body. All that is left is a large furry cub in the Garou warform.

Trouble touches his chest with a hand in surprise. He tilts his head to the side and looks down. ~How?~

Three-Blades gazes cooly at the cub, replying back simply. ~The clothes are one with you.~

Trouble shakes his head in surprise, still looking down at his form. ~How make clothes do this?~

Three-Blades shifts back down to homid form, and begins to gather up the materials she brought for the rite. "You'll learn it sometime later. Shift down, and we'll head into the house. There are some cubs there you can meet." She packs away the matches, bottled water and metal rod, and waits for the cub.

Three-Blades contorts and blurs as she is transformed. You shift into Homid.

Trouble shifts down to homid, jumping back slightly with surprise as his clothing re-appears. He pulls off the jacket and looks at it, content it is still the same, he pulls it back on. "Wow that was cool. Weird, but cool."

Trouble contorts and blurs as he is transformed. Trouble shifts into Homid form.

l Rotem
You see before you a rather well built child. He is somewhere near 5'7" tall, although his features put him at about fourteen, maybe fifteen at most. His head is covered in the hood of a light, obviously synthetic, black and navy blue jacket. Over his face hangs a veil of black hair, an occasional streak on neon green running through it. Behind the mane of hair a pair of green eyes conceal themselves, as his hair shifts in the light breeze you can catch a glimpse of them. Around his waist hang a pair of blue jeans. Through the open jacket you can see the white lettering upon his black T-shirt:
My parents went dumpster diving,
and all I got was this t-shirt".

Yi nods as the clothing reappears around the cub, pushing open the doors and moving towards the farmhouse. "Make sure you close the barn doors after." You pass through one of the doorways of the barn, out to the farm's barnyard.

Sliding the glass door open, you walk through into the dining room of the farmhouse.

Farmhouse: Kitchen and Dining Room
Homey is the first word to come to mind when looking at the farmhouse's kitchen. Dark, wood-paneled wainscoting covers the walls to about waist height, dark beige wallpaper continuing to the ceiling. Twin refrigerators occupy the north wall, facing the large six-burner stove on the south. The kitchen counter runs the length of the eastern wall, broken only by the double-basin sink. Cabinets run above and below the counter and a twin-pane window is set in the wall above the sink. A small pantry is set into an alcove alongside the refrigerators, presumably holding the deep freezer as well as shelves of dry goods.
Some twelve feet above the floor, a large chandelier hangs from the ceiling, lighting the dining room and casting long shadows over the bar to the kitchen. A long table occupies the center of the dining room, three chairs setting along each side, and one on each end. On the west wall, a large window looks out on the trees alongside the western pasture. Set into the north wall is a large cabinet, its glass doors closed on shelves containing a full compliment of fine china and glassware as well as a few decorative nicknacks. On the east, a wide bar separates the dining room from the kitchen.
An opening in the southern wall allows passage to the front entryway of the house, while a sliding glass door in the kitchen opens to a clearing behind the house.

In the front rooms, "It just..." the Gnawer continues to study the floor, speaking softly, "...I know I don't have a lotta 'sperience with all this, but it just... doesn't seem fair t' try an' get involved with someone when you still just wanna be with someone else." She shrugs once, weakly.

Rotem steps into the dining room through the sliding glass door. Rotem has arrived.

In the front rooms, Alicia dips her head in a nod, brushing a hand back through the thick folds of blonde and brown streaked hair. "I gotcha.. That is completely understandable. In a way, I know how you feel.. It was hard ta' get over Nev, but..well..it got kinda easier when Tom was showing me affection." She shrugs a bit, then pats the Gnawer on the shoulder, drawing her into a tight hug. "You'll get over it sister."

In the front rooms, "...so they claim," Bernie replies, accepting the hug. "Only, it's diff'rent, 'cause..." She sighs, and trails off, shaking her head slightly. "It's all so stupid," she murmurs, almost under her breath.

Yi opens up the kitchen back door, stepping inside and shrugging the pack she carries off her shoulder to glance around. Hearing voices, she calls back to the living room occupants, "Hey."

In the front rooms, "It is stupid.. isn't it?" Comes the Galliard's warm breath as it flirts past her ear. "Time will heal the wound upon your heart, hon."

Rotem keeps prodding his clothing suspiciosly, he looks up to Yi, "How long will this last?"

Yi glances back at the cub and clears her throat. She looks a little wearied as she answers, "It lasts as long as you want it to."

Rotem nods softly, looking up towards the other rooms as he addresses Yi oncmore, "Who lives here?"

In the front rooms, "So they claim," Bernie repeats, in a whisper, "...but sometimes I think it only gets worse..." She sighs, and glances up as Yi greets them. "Hey," she replies, sitting up straight again.

In the front rooms, Alicia turns her head, sitting up on her knees, leaning forward a bit against the couch's back as he gazes towards the two male with intense, brown eyes. "Hey Song Yi. Who's the fresh meat? That Rotem?" Flipping her blonde and brown streaked hair back, she wets her lips, giving a feral grin.

You pass through the open doorway to reach the front part of the house.

Farmhouse: Hallway and Living Room
All doorways in the front part of the house lead to the front hallway, a J-shaped area with the short tail starting at the stairs, the front door hitting the bottom curve, the doorless opening to the living room halfway up the long side, and the also doorless opening to the kitchen and dining room at the very top. The hall has a simple wooden floor, and decorated with a generic print of soft-colored flowers hanging on the wall to the right of the front door, and a tall table sitting under the print which serves as a place to toss keys. A closet under the stairs serves as a place to hang coats or to toss shoes. The doorless opening to the living room is halfway up the side of the hall's J, and the word cozy might spring to mind when looking into is, as it seems to radiate comforting vibrations. A long couch sits against the south wall beneath a large bay window curtained only by sheers that manages to obscure the view in but only filters the day's light. A variety of out-of-date magazines are strewn atop a low coffee table; more neatly presented are the plethora of books filling the small bookshelves which line the eastern wall. Three chairs sit about the room, focused inward, to allow group conversations. Large floor pillows are stacked in one corner of the room, except one, which lies carelessly in the middle of the floor, apparently left out the last time it was used.
An opening in the northern end of the hallway allows access to the kitchen and dining room at the back of the house, while carpeted stairs twist up at the other end of the hall, leading to the second floor. A door at the base of the J lets out to the front porch.

Kitchen/Dining Room Front Door STairs

Yi comes in from the kitchen, looking a little tired. The running back and forth, the rite, taking its toll on her small body as she nods to Alicia, dips her head to Bernie, sets her pack down in a corner and drags over a floor cushion to flop down on it.

In the back of the house, Rotem passes through the open doorway for the front part of the house. Rotem has arrived.

Rotem steps in behind Yi. "That's my n-name. Who are you?" he asks, looking towards Alicia as he crosses his hands over eachother.

Alicia grins widely, pushing herself up. Staring dead even with the other cub, she says with a smirk. "Either your dream come true, or your worst nightmare. I'm Alicia Jackson. Blooms From her Pain. Cub and Moondancer for the Daughters of Gaia's Children."

Rotem nods softly. "What is a moon d-dancer?" He arches an eyebrow, looking towards Alicia.

Yi closes her eyes slightly, thunking her head against the wall audibly once as she leans back and simply...breathes.

Long distance to the room: Yi would be tired, having spent 2 Gnosis. :)

Bernie just sits in the corner of the couch, leaning against the back, and pulls her knees up toward her chest, wrapping her arms around them. Her eyes stray toward the window, which she just sort of stares out of for a while, lost in thought.

"It means ah'm a Galliard. I sing the songs for our mother's warriors history. I spread the word around the Sept." Alicia responds, crossing her arms over her barely clad chest. Her stomach tightened with newly formed muscle from staying in the woods. She almost has a feral look about her eyes now.

Rotem shrugs. "So basically what you're s-saying is, I do the work, you write it d-down?" He chuckles, not waiting for a reply as he moves to take a seat by Bernie. After ploping down rather ungracefully upon the couch he looks to Bernie "Well, do you d-do something worthwhile, or you a singer too?"

Yi half opens her eyes, gazing at the gibbous moon with a slightly arched eyebrow. With a slow turn of her head, she growls out in a tired tone, "You don't remember the tribe sister who saved you from having your head ripped off? That's Reads-in-Darkness, a new moon of our tribe." She furrows her brow at the forgetful cub.

Alicia gazes upwards to her moon, then grins. "Guys.. lookie lookie.. I think its story time." Walking around the couch, she faces all three Gnawers, grinning. "Should I enlighten you on a tale of my encounters with the wild outdoors and hopefully thrill you to no end?"

Bernie is distracted from the window long enough to give Rotem a distinctly unimpressed look. She doesn't even deign to answer for the moment, not at all her usual cheery self at the moment. Alicia gets a light nod and shrugs, and a quiet, "...sure." Her gaze drifts off again, though.

Rotem shrugs, lifting his head to look at Yi, "I remember her, but I didn't know what she did. Come to think of it, what does a new moon do? You're one too, aren'tcha?" He then turns his head to Alicia as she speaks, replying with a grin, "Go ahead, I could use a snooze story."

"Trust me son, you won't fall asleep during one o' my stories." Crossing the room, Alicia kneels down next to Bernie, sliding a hand into hers, squeezing lightly. "But it can wait... until later perhaps." A flicker of concern fills her amber pools as she peers up at her sister and best friend, feeling a shard of guilt stab at the recesses of her heart.

"Tche," Yi snorts at the cub. "Junior told you that stuff the first lesson. "I'll tell you later." She nods to Alicia, casting a glance that only in her eyes could one deem troubled at the raggie cub.

That, Bernie actually does answer, though she doesn't look at the newest cub to do so. "We're the questioners of the ways, the scouts, thieves, tricksters, and the 'rou's sense of humour...." The ghost of a smile, and softly, "...despite possible current appearances."

Yi gets up with a small show of effort, leaving the pack where it is as she glances over to Rotem. "Come on. I have to get you back to the church before something thinks I've let the dogs out." She motions for the cub to follow her back out into the kitchen. Giving the zoned Bernie a short glance again, she sighs softly and waits for Rotem to head into the kitchen before following herself.

Rotem shrugs, moving to follow Yi as he continues talking, his voice fading as they move into the kitchen. "I heard w-what Junior said, doesn't mean I g-get it. I mean, the half moons I get, they g-got a job, the fullmoons I get, they got a job too. I e-even kinda, well, I don't really get what the cresents do, b-but they seem to have a job as well. So what do th-the new moons actually /do/?"
