FlyingWolf is laying on the dais, upside down, his paws dangling in the air as he wiggles back and forth, scratching his back.
Yi opens up the doors, coming in from midnight patrol around the city. She yawns slightly, and closes the door behind her with a slow rub of her chest around the lungs. Still healing.
FlyingWolf glances at the upside down Yi, then returns to the business of scratching an itch. Rolling around on the dais.
Yi gives another slow yawn and slips out of her sweater before shifting to glabro for some more healing time.
You have shifted to Glabro form.
Flying-Wolf rolls about still, then finnally relents and paws off over towards Yi. He stops in front of her, whimpering and lowering his front paws. Scratch.
Yi reaches over and scratches along the cub's back. "If you just shifted to homid it wouldn't be that much of a problem," she says quietly.
Flying-Wolf chuffs and shakes his head, his demeanor seemingly sad. I think. He pauses and looks at Yi. I think I have fleas.
Yi stops scratching a moment. "The more reason to take a hot shower, in homid," she remarks with an odd look to the cub.
Flying-Wolf chuffs, shaking his head and moving over to the pew and scratching up against it roughly. Damn Cats. Get flea from cats. Must be cats.
Yi shrugs at the cub. "Jarred's place has a shower I hope." Seems pretty simple to her, just shower in hot water, scrub, etc. "Or did he ban you from that facility?"
Flying-Wolf shakes his head, a homid gesture carried over. Why would Jarred do that? He shifts slowly up to homid, moving through crinos as he does so.
Yi shrugs. "Then you've nothing to worry about. Go over and use the shower," she replies, still wondering why Rotem would fret over fleas.
Rotem sighs as he shifts back to crinos, inspecting his still torn t-shirt. "I n-need to dedicate some s-stuff."
Yi looks up as the cub shifts to crinos. "Like what?"
Rotem finally rests in homid, looking to Yi. "Like a n-new shirt? This one is ru-ruined. Since the o-owl got to it." Rotem sighs and motions to the ripped shoulders. "And a c-cup. I have all the s-stuff at Jarred's place."
"It's not easy, you know," Yi replies with a look at the t-shirt. "Dedicating items takes some power. Some people don't have dedicated clothes either. Like Nevada." She glances at the cub up and down. "I'll dedicate 1 set of clothes, to you. With, the cup." Setting one larger foot on the pew in front of her, she tilts her head to look at the rafters above. "That's it though."
Rotem nods for a moment then slips into a pew. "Okay, tommorow? Oh, and Banecruncher was here."
Yi shrugs. "Maybe tomorrow, maybe the next, maybe later," she answers enigmatically. "What did he need?"
Rotem shrugs then turns to look at Yi. "I tried to a-ask him to train me. He didn't know what you ment by a-ahroun training."
Yi tilts her head at Rotem. "Like fighting, tactics, and hopefully learning from one of your own moons how to hold your temper," she answers, a little vexed, a little cutting at this phase of the moon. "I don't have to explain /everything/ do I? Because I don't know everything you need to know. That, you have to figure out."
Rotem nods and doesn't seem to mind her attitude. "I told him so. He said he didn't understand." Rotem shrugs, "Anyway, what can you teach me then?"
Yi rolls her shoulder. "What I can," she answers. "You are the one who should know where you are lacking. A person has to depend on oneself. But, a wolf depends on the pack." She narrows her eyes at the cub, as if to test him of his understanding. "Do you know who your pack is?"
Rotem shakes his head softly. "Nope, Unless its You, Kaz, Nev, and Jarred."
Yi runs a hand through her hair, sighing slowly. "Ok... you run on the streets. You run alone. But when you're on the streets, do you ever see just one dog?" She gazes at the cub, questioningly.
Rotem nods as he looks to Yi. "Yeah, stray dog here and there."
Yi shakes her head. "But the majority of them. Are dogs, on the streets, alone? Or do you see packs of them?"
Rotem shrugs. "Yeah, I guess they are mostly in groups."
Yi nods at this. "Why? Why do you see them in packs?"
Rotem shrugs and lays back in the pew. "I dunno."
"Because it's stronger. The pack, working together, is stronger than just one dog." Yi seems to growl this out some more. "You run on the streets alone, one day you might get caught. And there would be no one to help. But a pack... a pack looks out for each other, and they keep each other strong, watch each others' back. If one is in trouble, a howl will bring the rest of the pack running to aid." She sits up some in her pew. "You couldn't survive our tribe alone. So you asked Jarred to be your friend. A lone wolf cannot hazard a storm."
Rotem nods, considering this point of view. "So I was right. You, Kaz, Jarred, Nev, and maybe Burns too."
Yi continues on. "Banecruncher, I've known for a short while. It's in every wolf, every Garou, to want some form of pack around them. Even the Striders, who move from place to place, eventually form bonds between others. And that forms their pack." Here, she stops. "So tell me then, what's the point of my lecturing? Why am I telling you this?"
Rotem sits up again, tilting towards Yi. "You want me to join your pack?" He asks, assuming it is the logical answer.
Yi half-lids her eyes to the cub. "I'm trying to tell you, that you have to find your place. You can bounce back and forth amongst the Garou of this sept and get teachings from all sorts of Garou. But, you have to know how it applies. When you get back from your Rite, you'll be considered by others. They'll want to look at whether or not you are fit to join them, either in fights, scouts, or just 'chilling'. You wouldn't fit in the pack under Salmon, no. But you'll find someone, and someplace. And then, you want to be your best." She stands up from her pew, heading to the center aisle. "All in all... know where you stand on the face of Gaia, and know how you can help."
Rotem shrugs softly and rises up to his feet. "We'll, whatever pack I go to, it better kick some serious ass." he smirks and moves over towards the doorway. "Well, pardon me teach, but I really gotta go shower."
Yi moves over after and heads back to her apartment, shifting down as she does and pulling on her sweater. "Night, Rotem."
