[Perrin's Description
A handsome blue-eyed young man, apparently 21 years of age. He is dressed in black jeans, a overly-large white dress shirt (untucked, and most likely from a thrift shop), black boots and a white beaded necklace that hugs his throat snugly. With his lion's mane of blond hair and pure face, he looks like an angel in a 501 commercial. With a medium to muscular build, at 5 feet, 11 inches, he moves with an aire of calm and serenity that many find elusive. Upon his right ring finger he wears a simple ring of purest gold with minute etchings around its circumference.]
Jay takes one of the pizza's from Nevada, balancing it easily in one hand as he lets go of the kid's head. Grinning widely, he glances over to Elan and Perrin, blowing the long bangs out of his face.
Sitting just outside the doorway, the brownish furred lupe peers inside for a moment through amber eyes, sniffing with curiosity. She's a bit hesitant to just invade a person's home. Such a polite Gnawer. ;P
Elan takes the other pizzas and put them to one side. "Come in you two, come in. You too, Mulan." He opens a box and proffers a slice of Meat Lovers pizza to Yi. "She eats first, guys, my order."
Jay smirks and looks over to 'Mulan', glad to know his affectionate term for her has spread through the tribe. "Hey there Wah Shine, c'mon in! I guess you can say we're...gnawer moot'n in Perrin's living room." He laughs at the thought of that, all of them going crinos and stalking the toaster.
Three-Blades pads over and sniffs at the meat-lover's, the warm almost heavenly smell of pepperoni and sausage sinking into her brain and triggering that drool reflex. She gives a quick shake of her fur, and snaps down on the pizza, nearly burning her tongue while she's at it but 'wolfing' the slice down.
Nevada, freed of pizza boxes, immediately checks to see if his hair is in order. Then he grins at Yi, turning his attention to the reason he came. Jay's new buddy, the guy that can kill you with a thought and shoot fireballs and God only knows what the hell else. He helped the Ahroun too, maybe even saved his life, and that's what matters. OK, so that and the kill with a thought thing. Note to self: Don't piss this guy off. With that, the blond Gnawer seeks Perrin out. "Hey," he says, offering a smile,"How ya feelin, Mista?"
Perrin smiles. "Well, I've been better, man. Gotta be honest. How're you? Hold on... bend down here.. " the mage tousles his hair again.
Elan takes a slice after Yi finishes, then passes the pizza around. "OK, highest in station eats first, 'cept this time. So... whatcha guys doing here? Tracking me, or checking up on Perrin?"
Jay reaches for the box and snags a piece of pizza, glancing over to them. "I was looking for Perrin actually..."
Three-Blades growls softly as the feeling of warm pizza fills her stomach. She chuffs gratefully to the Gnawer elder. A small lick over her jaws and she replies. Both. This one has things to tell and ask. Her eyes stray to the mage. And one to thank for healing her brother.
"I'm groovin, man," Nevada replies, leaning in as requested. With a grin, he glances over his shoulder to inform Elan: "A'tually, we door ta door Jehova's witnesses now. "
Elan laughs at the cub. "You'd make a good one, dude. And Perrin is indeed worthy of thanks, but now he needs our help. See, he cured Jay by taking the illness into himself."
Yes, Jarred informed us yesterday. The lone female of the group so far turns her gaze towards the mage in question. What can we do, to help get rid of it? Her tail thumps softly against the leg of a chair in thought as she sinks down onto her haunches.
There's a knock on the door.
Perrin looks up, eyes widening in disbelief.
Elan just shakes his head, goes to the door, and smiles. "More..." he says over his shoulder. Then he opens the door. "Heya, sista. Come on in for pizza."
"Ya quite the popular guy t'night, man," Nevada says with a laugh, grinning at the mage. He looks up, the grin widening as he spots the other Galliard. "Hey, Kazbo! Where's Miz Pyromaniac?"
Kaz, carrying a bag in hand, grins. "Love to, m'man." Searching out the one person she doesn't know, she asks, "Yo, dude, should I put the Coke in the fridge?" After a short pause, she adds, "Um, hi. I'm Kaz. Friend of Elan's, y'know." So she has /some/ manners... Just not many.
Perrin nods. "Yeah, there should be room in there, I think."
Jay leans back on the couch some, taking a huge bite from his piece of pizza, then swallows with relative ease. "Hey Kaz, wassup?" He calls out, waving a hand to her.
Elan says "Wassup!"
Kaz tells Nevada, a little vaguely, "She's around," while she heads for the fridge and stuffs the Cokes into it. She shoots an even bigger grin at Elan and asks, proper intonation and everything, "Wassssuppp?"
Perrin gets up. "I'm gonna make some tea... anyone want some?" he shuffles toward the kitchen.
Kaz grabs a slightly cold Coke. "Nah, thanks, though." Heading over to Elan, she asks, "So, like, what's the plan, boss?"
The raggie barks a brief greeting to the metis galliard before rising back up to her paws with a small sniff. Her ears simply swivel about like radar, mostly pointed at the kitchen for a few seconds longer.
Elan shakes his head at Perrin. "I'll fix it," he says. He looks to the others. "OK. what I'm thinking is this: we can pool our power, our energy, and try to cure this man who has aided us."
Kaz blinks twice. Veil? What Veil? "Gnosis fest at Perrin's," she mutters, and settles onto the floor, leaning against a chair. "I'm a'willin', bossman."
"Sorta like Cap'n Planet? When our powas combine.. ?" Nevada folds his arms. "Hey, count me in."
Three-Blades turns her eyes back to Elan and chuffs. I'll do what is needed, Elan-rhya.
Elan looks to Kaz, seeming to catch the Galliards concern. "Perrin knows about us, Kaz. He's a Warper, and he helped take the taint from Jay. He's helped us and we need to help him. Um, mum to the rest about him, though, unless it's an emergency."
Kaz's eyes widen slightly. "Dude! Cool!" She mimes zipping her lip. "Mum's the word."
Perrin looks at Elan. "Is it possible for you all to pool your power? Wouldn't you all have to be schooled in spirit magic?"
Elan just looks at Perrin. "Huh? Shit, no. They don't need to even know it's happening." He shrugs. "I dunno, the spirits handle all that, I guess." He begins fixing tea for the man.
Blades sits back down next to Nevada, attentively listening. Are we to perform a Rite of Cleansing? This one isn't sure of the spirits ways, but Elan-rhya is, surely. Her jaws open in a grin.
Perrin heads back to the couch, scritching Blades behind the ears on the way in silent thanks. He flops back down, wiping his brow with his arm and closing his eyes.
Nevada sits on the edge of the couch, smiling as Yi pads over. "Ya, he the man," the Galliard says, rubbing the back of his neck. "I don't got a clue, but I really hope it works, yanno?" He glances to Perrin, then turns a look to the Ragabash, squinting in sudden, curious scrutiny. "Huh.. what's dat in ya ear?" he murmurs, leaning over for a look. "Hold still.. " He moves a hand for one of her triangular ears, then another, as if slowly trying to catch something. He apparently "pulls" a Slim Jim out of her ear, magician style. "What's dis?" he asks, feigning disbelief a moment, then grinning as he presents the amazing find to her.
Three-Blades blinks, sniffing the Slim Jim, then glancing up at Nevada with a raised furry eyeridge. Certainly isn't mine. What have you been playing in, Nevada? Her tongue lolls playfully.
Jay heads back out of the bathroom after the sound of a flushing toilet is heard and the sink.
"Not yas huh? Ya sure?" Nevada grins, unwrapping the beef jerky. He waves it around her nose.
Jay thumps Nevada slightly as he walks by them, sinking down to his knees next to Three-Blades. "Nev, I'm sure she's never even seen a slim jim before."
Elan brings Perrin some hot tea. "OK, now.. kaz, Yi, Jay.. either of you know how to Cleanse?"
Kaz shakes her head glumly. "Love to learn, but no."
Jay shakes his head no to Elan. "Nuh uh, I can only dedicate, thanks ta' you." He grins a bit. "But I was ganna ask ya how ta' do that one soon."
Three-Blades snaps a few times at the piece of dried jerky, missing as the galliard cub waves it around for a moment and then chomps down, nearly engulfing the cub's hand in her jaws as well. She swallows, coughing a bit as it goes down a little quickly, then shakes her fur and glances at Elan. No, I've not learned that rite yet, though it would be helpful to learn.
Elan says "OK, OK, then.. I'll have to find some others, but I'll try and teach a couple of you this rite; it's important with the city being in the shape it's in."
Kaz sits up a bit straighter. "You're /so/ on, boss."
Jay nods his head and snaps his fingers a few times, then trails his eyes over to Nevada and Yi. "Yup...definitely.. Nevada here hasn't learned any gifts yet."
Three-Blades rumbles in agreement. If the teaching is successful, the rite will help in more matters than one. She gazes at Perrin. What of Perrin though? Can we still help him now?
Elan looks to the man, then sighs, running fingers through his hair. "Not tonight. Maybe.. tomorrow, or Friday morning. I need at least a couple other people that know the rite. Sepdet, and Cutter should do."
Perrin looks at Elan, smiling. "Well, I *think* I'll last until then." He looks around the room. "Regardless of what happens, success or failure, I want you all to know that you've made a good and true ally. I won't forget this..."
Three-Blades swishes her tail, her mood not visibly soured by the inability to help the one who healed her brother. A friend to Gnawers is not forgotten. When would you teach this rite to us, Elan-rhya?
Elan says "Soom Yi, very soon. No, we Gnawers never forget a friend. Always remember that. We have few enough as it is."
Kaz blinks. "Oh, Elan, dude. Little Bear, that Wendigo guy, he wanna talk to you. Speakin' of friends."
Perrin says "Wendigo?"
Kaz explains, "It's one've the Indian tribes. Um. Indian Garou tribes, I mean."
Elan nods to Kaz. "Thank you." He looks to Perrin.
Blades chuffs lowly in understanding, making a human-like nod gesture. Wendigo... I've only met one Wendigo here. I've not introduced myself properly to Perrin either. She pads over to the mage, her open-jawed grin blurring as she shifts to her breed form. "Song Yi Ling, Three-Blades, cliath ragabash of the Gnawers." She gives the mage a polite bow. "It is an honor to meet you."
Perrin says "I see... so.. was Jarred one of your tribe? He didn't seem like it...." The mage grins at Yi, nodding. "Michael Andrew Perrin, Mage of the Celestial Chorus, and the honor is all mine, Yi.""
Kaz says, "Hell no, he's a different tribe altogether." She clambers to her feet, and adds, "I'm also known as Ears, by the way. Galliard an' Gnawer. So what's it mean, that yo're in the Celestial Chorus?"
Perrin thinks for a moment. "Just as you garou have tribes, mages have 'factions' within the greater whole of our society. The Celestial Chorus is one of those Traditions. We believe that every living thing contains a spark of the divine, and we represent, collectively, all the religions of the world."
Kaz mulls this over. "So basically, you're Quakers, only magical."
Elan snorts.
Perrin grins. "No, we're not quakers. Although there are some from our tradition who once called themselves quakers. The Chorus traces its origins back to Egypt, actually, to the pharoah Akhenaten, who worshipped the Sun God."
Kaz blows the hair out of her face. "Ra, or some other dude?"
Yi sits herself down in a chair, brushing the wild strands of hair away from her face. She blinks briefly at Elan's snort, before turning back to the mage's explanation, trying to make sense of the words and not knowing what a Quaker is, or any Egyptian myth for that matter.
Perrin continues. "Basically, we believe that all gods and divinities are just reflections of a greater power. We call that power The One. It is that power that grants life and being to all things, spiritual and physical."
Elan says "Gaia."
Perrin nods. "The One has as many names as she has aspects and forms. Gaia is one of the most lovely paintings of the One I have come across."
Kaz says "S'what're some've the other ways've lookin' at it?"
Yi registers 'Gaia' and some of the speech Perrin says. She's still a little awed just at the thought of a mage, a wielder of magick. Her voice is silent, letting the more proficient in English do the chatting.
Perrin says "Well, Christians believe in a holy trinity, while Muslims believe that the One is called 'Allah' and is alone. The norse have divided the One into many gods... Thor, Odin, Freya, while the Hindu religion worships thousands of gods and so-called demons."
Perrin says "I see The One as a gem of infinite beauty, spinning in space and time. Each different belief about him is adds another facet to the gem, making it all the more beautiful when held in the light of our faith."
Kaz says "Yeah, 'n it means there's always somethin' you can't see, somethin' more t'discover."
Perrin grins, clearly inspired by the thought. "Yes... exactly."
Elan says "Like nature. Something always changes, something is always different."
Perrin nods. "But it is that very Truth that makes life worth living, and makes each person's beliefs so precious. I could no more condemn the beliefs of the garou, or the other traditions, than I could my own beliefs."
Yi bounces her gaze back and forth among the three, their words soaking up into her head like a dry sponge.
Rising to her feet, Yi looks at the other Gnawers, then gives Perrin a warm smile. "Well, I think I will be going. Patrolling duty for the city." Another quick bow, and she gathers the empty pizza boxes into her arms. "It was nice to meet you, Perrin."
Kaz grabs another Coke from the fridge. "Mind if I come with?"
Perrin nods. "You too, Yi."
Perrin says "Please come and visit me again, any time."
Yi's smile breaks into a nice wide grin. "Of course," she answers the mage before turning to Kaz. "It'd be nice to have some company. I'm not quite sure if I'd find my way back actually. Coming here in lupus, I'd have to leave in lupus to know where I came from." She laughs a little sheepishly. "Good night, Perrin."
Kaz tilts her head slightly, and then grins at the mage. "May take you up on that, padre. G'night, meantime."
Perrin shows the two out with a smile and a wave.
Yi walks to the door, giving the mage one last departing nod, and beats it out to the street with Kaz and a bunch of pizza boxes.
