Forgotten Church(#1801RAJLM)
The old church is dark, dimly lit by outside light coming in through scum-encrusted windows during the day, and tomblike during the night. There is a coatroom in the back of the nave, with separate doors leading off to mens' and womens' restrooms, and two staircases, one going up to the balcony and bell-tower, and the other leading down to the basement. The double doors leading out to the street are at the back of the coatroom.
The hard wooden pews in the sanctuary are, for the most part, still intact. There are even Bibles and hymnals left in the shelves along the back of each row, although many of them look rather chewed on. The altar on a dais at the front of the church is empty, and the lectern that once stood next to it has been knocked over. Rotting red cloth hangs at the very front of the church; there might once have been a design on it, but it has long since faded or been eaten away.

Joey takes off his hat to run his hand through unruly brown hair. "I can handle that. No, really."

Elan grins. "Good, good."

Junior grins.

Joey stands up, again in a better mood. "What've I been hearing about a new cub?"

The church doors open with a creak, and Yi's hooded head appears briefly before the rest of her body follows. She slips through the opening and shuts the door with a soft click. "Hello," she greets the people holding conversation.

Joey looks to teh door, grin widening a touch. "Heyo, Yi," he says.

Junior waves. "Hiya, Yi."

Yi slips into a pew nearby, nodding to Joey. "How is everyone?" Drawing up a knee, she wraps an arm around it and peers at the others curiously. "Any news?"

Elan looks at the others. "Our sister Kaz is out at the caern, ready to carry fire and sword to the Dancer pack out in the woods. She may not return." Banecruncher whuffs at Yi. Hearing Elan's news, he whines worriedly. Ears is a good garou.

Elan nods. "Actually, that's a good idea."

Junior nods. "She was here last night. Asking about Perrin, and saying she was looking for a pack. She wanted one to do some healing and cleansing, and guarding Lake Arthur and stuff. And helping the city Garou."

Yi pipes up just a bit at mention of Sepdet. "Sepdet-rhya, Jay and I went to Perrin's apartment yesterday. We tried to cleanse him, but we're not sure if it had worked." Her eyes gaze down at the hard wood of the pew. "He was in worse condition than I thought, but after the rite he seemed a bit better." The mention of the pack forming for Lake Arthur shoots another memory of last night, of Sepdet's invitation.

Elan shakes his head to Yi. "It was back not long after. I was up there this evening."

Joey picks his head up. "Who's...Perrin, the name was?"

Yi grips the pew with her hand, disappointed and inwardly angered by her own helplessness. "Perrin is a mage. He healed Jay when Jay was tainted after the sewer scouting mission not too long ago."

Joey just blinks. "Woah," he says. "And is Jay okay? And a for-real, pull-rabbit out of the hat, fireball-throwing mage?"

Junior arches an eyebrow. "Mage, huh?"

Elan says "I dunno exactly what he can do, but he can heal and he can cleanse an area. Warpers are strange creatures and only a few - very few - can be trusted at all. I know three, and all will help us in some way.""

Yi nods. "Jay is fine. Perrin healed him by taking his taint and... absorbing it into his own body," she reports, though not with a bit of regret. "Sepdet's cleansing rite didn't work," she echoes softly. She looks at the Gnawer Elder, her eyes full of frustration. "There must be a way to cleanse him of it."

Junior frowns. "Elan? You said you know three mages - any of the others that could help him?"

Elan shakes his head. "I don't know.. I can ask, but they're not as approachble as Perrin is. He's the only one that's got down in the muck and grime with us." Elan does give names and contact info for Dana and David Cox, though. "We can depend on those two. Dana even went to Pangea with us."

Junior blinks. "Really?"

Joey frowns, putting it together. "We need to help this guy. He helps us."

Yi nods at the two names, committing them to memory. "Well," she stands up, brushing off her jeans, "I've got to be going. I've a job at the local chinese restaurant." She smiles, though just briefly. "If you can teach us the cleansing rite, Elan-rhya, I hope you can, and I hope it would be soon. It seems the longer we wait, the more troubles arise." With that, she hops over the pew, heads into the center aisle and jets out of there.
