Brownstone -- Basement Apt.(#3328RJ)
The walls are bare cement block and red brick on three sides. The fourth is covered in plywood painted black and covered in a variety of supposedly decorative distractions. Even with them, the basement apartment is not much to look at. It is, however, extremely functional. Despite the plumbing overhead, and the central duct grates, the space is surprisingly cozy. The Current Occupant has furnished it with a beat up leather couch, in black, a few throw rugs, and a recliner. There's no television, but a decent stereo sits erected on a cinderblock shelf, four speakers mounted around the corners of the apartment. The kitchen is small and does not appear all that well stocked. A good portion of the room is dedicated to a makeshift home gym. Free weights, a mat, and other such equipment mark it off, culminating in a suspended, full weight boxing bag.

Elan comes in, Kaz and Yi by his side. "I'd like to ask you something; I need help for a Rite of Cleansing."

Kaz, key enabled, lets Elan in, in fact, and goes to get a Coke, somewhat reflexively.

Signe back up, allowing the troup of Gnawers into the apartment. Her frown testifies to her confusion at elan's statement. "Cleansing? What kind of help can I give you for that?"

Elan shrugs. "Contribute support; you don't need to know the rite - I handle that, but your spirit could aid in it. This guy is tainted, and he's a friend to the city."

Signe looks a little more dubious, but she doesn't exactly say no. "What guy is this?" she asks, inviting Elan and Yi to come in a little further. Kaz already knows how much of a run of the place she can take.

Elan doesn't seem eager to sprawl all over the place like he sometimes does. "He's... he's a Warper, but he's helped us a great deal. He healed Jay and took Wyrm taint into himself, away from Jay. Now he's been sick with it for days."

Kaz gets Cokes from her own store of sodas, for once, and tosses two to her tribesmates, then just watches Signe's expression.

Signe's surprise manifests in a rather slack-jaw. "A warper?" she exclaims, and takes a moment to let that sink in. She eyes Elan again and asks, "And you trust him. Really?"

Elan snags it without looking, still watching Signe's eyes and expression. Not a challenging glare, not here in the woman's place of power. "I do," he says, gaze still level. "I do. He knew Chloe, and he's one of the kind that will help us from time to time. I been watching him for awhile now, and he's been trying to do what he can to clean up this area and south of here."

Yi catches the Coke deftly, though doesn't seek to open it yet. Her ears are open towards the conversation as she stands against a near wall watching with a bit of hope and curiosity.

Signe lifts a hand to rub at the back of her neck, and one might get the impression that her hand might be there to smooth down the hackles, if she had hackles in this form. Still, her expression levels out some. "I admit I don't know much about warpers. And all I can say about this Chloe business is listening to Ethan whine is a real pain in the ass. Then again, he'd be whining about something else, if not that. So tell me where and when, and what I can do."

Elan says "Dawn, tomorrow; bright and early. The dawning sun helps the Rite a hell of a lot. It's something we really don't have to use much, but it does help on tough cases like his. Sepdet's already tried to heal him twice, so I figure tht if we get a circle together of three women and one man, at dawn, all contributing their strength, it should work.""

Yi quirks her head at this, not knowing that bit of info about the dawning sun. Then again, she hadn't pondered the power of sunrise other than to drag herself out of bed. "If it doesn't work?" her soft question is simple, voicing her concern. After all their efforts, if this didn't work.. she didn't want to think of an alternative.

Kaz grunts. "Then we try something else."

Elan says "Or we destroy him. He cannot be allowed to be consumed by what lies within him, now."

Signe's back straightens, but the theurge has managed to unnerve her again. It shows in her body language--an almost near 'fidget'. Or as close to that as the Get will likely ever come. "So, you don't really need me to kill anything. You actually want me to help with the rite?"

Yi winces, then leans heavily against the wall. Twirling the Coke in her hands slowly, she shakes her head. "It has to work then... after all he's gone through, after all we've done," Yi utters more to herself than anything. Then she looks up to her elder. "What will we do? I know Jay and I tried helping Sepdet the second time, but that did not help more than ease his pain for a while."

Elan nods to Yi. "Dawn is the key, the cleansing light of the sun." He turns to Signe. "Exactly. Just contribute your strength to the circle. Yi contributes cunning, Kaz contributes knowing, you contribute the raw power."

((You paged the room with 'With our powers combined... we call... Captain Cleansing!'.
From afar, to the room, Elan writes that down.))

Signe looks from Elan, to yi, and finally to her longtime packmate. Finally, the ahroun makes a decision and simply nods. "Ok. Where is he?"

Elan smiles brightly. "Downtown from here, not all that far. I'll come get you tomorrow morning, and we'll ride over."

Signe nods again. "Ok." She turns toward the kitchen, and then immediately turns back. "Elan, I may need some favors of my own soon. Nothing specific right now, but.." she shrugs.

Kaz snorts softly to herself, and grins at Signe, just slightly.

Yi slips the Coke from her hand into the front pocket of her sweatshirt. Her glance to the Get shows her gratitude and boosted levels of respect for the woman.

Elan nods at Signe. "I understand, yeah. So.. I'll se everyone tomorrow morning?"

Yi nods affirmatively, boosting herself off the wall to exit the apartment.

Signe nods again. "Dawn." This brings on another sour expression, but the ahroun doesn't vocally grumble.

Kaz doesn't look any happier than Signe does to be getting up for a Rite at the crack of dawn.

[One Timewarp later... *watches the clock spin around*...]

Perrin's Apartment(#3269RJh)
An almost tangible aura of calm and tranquility pervades this apartment. The walls are covered in white molding and trim, and a threadbare, ancient-looking oriental rug covers a good portion of the living room floor, which, slightly scratched and worn, looks like it has seen a lot of use. Along the main wall in the living area, a large bookshelf sits, filled with what appear to be sacred texts from various world religions, a few history books and some mystery novels. On the opposite wall, directly over a large old couch, a fairly large banner or tapestry hangs. It is white, except for a deep blue shape at its center ... a stylized image of the sun, vaguely celtic-looking. An old television sits in one corner on a faded wooden stand. In another corner, a small bust of St. Francis of Assisi watches over the quiet room. On the coffee table, white candles wait to be lit and a few magazines lie unopened.

From behind the white, wooden door to Perrin's apartment, sounds of movement can be heard. A moment later, the door opens to reveal the bedraggled mage. He's not looking too healthy. His hair is tousled from lots of sleep, and his eyes have dark rings under them. He is pale and has lost some weight. Despite his unkempt appearence, Perrin smiles weakly. "Wow... another party?"

Elan, circles under his eyes, pack over his shoulder, knocks on the door as he comes in. "Heya, bud. I got some people together and we're gonna get this crap outta you. " He then takes out a sheet of plastic wrap from the pack. "You're gonna want to put that down on the kitchen floor and then get naked. It's gonna be messy."

Perrin blinks. "umm.."

Yi surprisingly is not all that sleepy, only a mild yawn coming from her before Perrin opens the door. A few blinks of her eyes, and she turns her gaze towards her elder. Naked? She wasn't expecting that.

Kaz shoots Elan a really amused look and heads inside. "Yo, Perrin, we gonna whup this."

Elan shakes his head at Kaz, then looks at Perrin. "You took in something that Jay swallowed. That means you're probably going to wind up puking your guts out if this works. Just trying to keep you from having to mop up Wyrm-tainted crap offa your floor, dude."

Perrin nods, after a moment. "I'll do as you ask. Just... caught me off guard a little. I'm always up for a good strip show, I suppose." He takes the plastic from Elan, shuffling toward the kitchen.

Signe isn't looking all that comfortable, but the Get fairly looms nonetheless. she shifts her wait, eyeing the mage briefly, and then his apartment. For the most part, though, she merely allows Elan to organize things while she does what she's told.

Kaz mutters, "So glad to hear it," and follows after, slowly.

Elan begins unpacking things and finally starts drawing a line of salt around the mage. "Someone please get the drapes? We need as much sun in here as possible when dawn comes up." He rumages in his pocket, then, coming up with a large cats-eye marble. "I'm about ready if everyone else is. Just concentrate on Perrin getting better, the tain leaving him; pour everything you got into that, until I tell you to stop."

Kaz gets the drapes, and settles near a window.

Yi briefly glances out the window, watching the dim sky's lightening. "Hope this works," she utters softly. "Help us out too, Jay." Then she lowers down into a kneeling position, looking directly at the mage, humming softly the way she'd done when Sepdet was performing the cleansing rite.

Perrin undresses before the garou until he is standing, naked, in the middle of the kitchen on the plasic spread over the floor. If he looked miserable before, he's doubly so now. He closes his eyes and lowers himself to one knee slowly, resting his forehead on his upturned palm.

Signe gives Kaz one more dubious look before she settles in to start concentrating. Her scowl darkens, though there's no malice behind the expression. It's simply a Get, concentrating.

Kaz doesn't look particularly comfortable in this situation, either, but she's going along with it -- if less grudgingly than her old packmate.

Elan takes the marble and tosses it up in the air, catching it. He looks to the lightening grey outside and begins. "Spirits, we need help; this man has helped us, and continues to help us, but the Enemy has their fangs in him. Helping, he aided our fallen comrade, and he took the Taint in on himself. Now it gnaws at him, destroying him from inside." He raises the marble. "Help us now, small things of the air, the ground, water, light and fire; burn the taint away, light of the sun..."

Yi's mind once again brings her image of Perrin back to the crystal clear waters of some pure ocean existant in her mind. The low humming coming from her begins to take on a rhythmic feeling, the beat of the waves lapping away the taint from the Perrin in her mind. Inwardly, she calls out to Gaia, to the spirits, to Chloe and Jay, calling for them to grip the taint and wring it away from the mage with their powers.

Perrin shivers where he kneels, trying more than anything to empty his mind of passing concerns. He does not bring his own powers to bear, as his last attempt was somewhat less than successful. He holds himself with his arms, chilled with fever.

Kaz suddenly bends down, rummages in her pack, and gets her flute case out. Putting it together, she starts playing, softly, following Elan's chant, and Yi's humming, not asserting the music into the foreground, but just supporting.

Elan continues to circle the man on the floor. He wets his hand from the tap and splashes water on Perrin. "Ocean, tide, river; come aid us. Clease and purify, taking the waste away; draw it forth so we can destroy it." He slaps his thigh, a puff of dust spreading outwards from his dirty jeans. "Earth, dust, soil, draw it up and out, into the light of day where it cannot live..."

Signe closes her eyes as Elan continues. Like Yi, she's got a picture in her mind and lets that metaphorical image guide what power she brings to the ritual. For those that don't know the ahroun Get, that power is more formidable than might be readily apparent at first.

Elan continues to look at the window, biting his lip. Timing is everything, here. He picks up the tempo as a TV aerial begins to glow. He bends and blows gently in Perrin's hair, then stands and whistles as he makes another circuit. "Air, wind, storm; I have sought you before. Cleanse the breath of this one, reveal what is hidden and cannot survive not being hidden!"

Yi hums steadily, the flute and Elan's chant bringing an inherent rhythm that her own 'music' to join with them. Her eyes open, the dark pools concentrated yet distant as the waters she imagines soak into the image of Perrin, swirling to bring the taint up and out from him.

Kaz's flute continues to support what Elan is chanting, upwards, downwards -- air and water, fluid and moving.

Elan picks up the tempo, his chanting mixing with Kaz and Yi's music. "Now, fire! Cleansing sword of Gaia! Heat and light and fire, burn the infection out, seek it out and destroy it where the others cannot! NOW!" He holds up the marble as the first rays of sun burst over the tenement next door and flood the apartment kitchen; the stone in his hand flares with a pure white light, and down into Perrin. "Air, Earth, Fire, Water, hear my call! Burn the taint from this man!!"

((From afar, to the room, Elan has word from Eric; basically everyone spends a point of Gnosis and bingo :) ))

Kaz's tempo speeds as Elan does, music jumping slightly in the flames of his voice and the stone, cutting off and ringing lowly at the climax.

Yi lifts her voice to the skies, the hum turning into a howl as the rays of the sun burst through the window and onto Perrin and come to a climax of cleansing power, the waters of her mind a virtual tidal wave.

The effect is... energetic. Perrin tenses suddenly, collapsing to his other knee with a sobbing cry. He vomits violently onto the kitchen floor... Again and again he heaves, emptying himself of the filth and taint, until he can give no more, and falls to the side, gasping for breath, too weak to move. His body is covered in a sheen of sweat from the effort.

Kaz starts breaking down her flute again, even as she watches Perrin void himself utterly. "Damn, that's gotta hurt," she mutters.

Elan grins a closes the ritual with a few sharp gestures. He bends down to help Perrin to his feet. "That looks like that did it..." On the plastic, the seething, twitching corruption steams in the light, dissipating into nothingness.

Signe watches stoically, but nods to Kaz's comment.

Perrin can barely stand. He hangs onto Elan. "Could you ... take me to the couch? I need to lay down.."

Elan helps the man to the couch. "I will. Yeah, you're gonna be out of it for a couple days. You need water and food, too. When your stomach can stand that. And a blanket."

Kaz says, firmly, "Liquid. Drink. Want some water?"

Perrin drops to the couch weakly, and nods to Kaz.

Yi growls at the disappearing mass of wyrmtaint, "Die a thousand miserable deaths." Her gaze shifts to the still weak mage, lightening like the dawning sun into a smile. She stands up from her kneeling position, casting a withering glance at the plastic. "Maybe some soup, rice."

Elan nods to the others. "Water and some rice. I'll fix it. And... thank you for coming. Perrin can be a great help to us."

Perrin nods to the rest of them. "I thank you... even when you didn't know me, you gave your help." He looks at Signe. "Thank you..."

Yi nods, and begins to head out. "I can bring some rice from the restaurant. No worries," she says. "Thank you all, for helping Perrin. And thanks to Perrin, for helping Jay before he left." Then with a small smile, she lets herself out.
