Forgotten Church(#1801RAJLM)
The old church is dark, dimly lit by outside light coming in through scum-encrusted windows during the day, and tomblike during the night. There is a coatroom in the back of the nave, with separate doors leading off to mens' and womens' restrooms, and two staircases, one going up to the balcony and bell-tower, and the other leading down to the basement. The double doors leading out to the street are at the back of the coatroom.
The hard wooden pews in the sanctuary are, for the most part, still intact. There are even Bibles and hymnals left in the shelves along the back of each row, although many of them look rather chewed on. The altar on a dais at the front of the church is empty, and the lectern that once stood next to it has been knocked over. Rotting red cloth hangs at the very front of the church; there might once have been a design on it, but it has long since faded or been eaten away.

The doors to the old church creak open and the echo of footsteps sound into the dark church. The words carry to the young girl's ears, giving her a slight, odd look. "Deck, th' halls wi' gasoline. Tra-la-la-la-! La-La-La-La! Light da' match an watch it gleam, blah blah blah blah blah!" Her eyes squint into the shadows, smirking. "Nevadah, dat' yo' pretending ta' be a cat locked inside a blendah?"

The caroling goes silent. The balcony creaks. "Hello.. ?" a voice calls.

"Yo!" Comes Alicia's voice as she stands in the middle of the church, eyes searching the depths of the balcony.

"Hello," comes that everquiet british tinged tone from Yi, up in the rafters again. "You came back." She drops down from the rafters, a little bit to the side from Alicia.

Alicia jumps, slightly startled as the asian hops down from above, startling her. "Hey! Don't do that!" She says, taking a deep breath, then looks about for the male voice.

Yi runs a hand through her hair and shakes off some dust, glancing to Nevada. "She's been looking for you," her hand waves from one cub to the other.

Nevada steps up to the balcony railing, leaning on it, his blond hair hanging. His wandering eyes slide from one girl to the other, and then he smiles. "Like a cat locked inside a blender? Darlin?"

Alicia strides forward, her boots making heavy thumps along the old wooden floor of the church. "Thas' right yo, I say yer voice sounds jus' like a cat locked inside ah' blendah." She stops and stares up at him, crossing her arms. "So, Ashley, where ya been? Got bored o'me an decided ta' find god?"

Yi lets the two converse, taking up a cat-like stretch but listening in sort of idly.

"Yeah, you are pretty dull," Nevada informs her with a teasing smile. "And no, I haven't found him yet. Still lookin."

Alicia leans against a pew, quirking a brow upwards as her body arches slightly, giving him the eye. "What to say.... what should ah' say?" She says to the youth, biting her lip. "Ah've waited nearly fi' months ta' find you, dragged from one juvie home ta' another, finally able ta' break free, ta' say a speech ah've had shoved inside my heart, but now, I'm atta' loss fo' words."

"How about... " Yi's brow furrows a moment as she chews on her a lip over the words. "Whassaaaaaap?" Ah, the wonders of television.

((From afar, to the room, Nevada LAUGHS

Nevada smiles softly, a mischevious, yet tender expression shaping his face. It's that look he gets when he's about to say something terribly sweet and dramatic, but all that comes out is a happy-sounding light laugh. The cub is glad for the No Moon's derailing ways, sometimes. Sometimes. "Yanno, I was thinking the same thing. C'mere, I got a speech for you."

Nevada gestures grandly to the balcony around him.

"Lemmie guess... Romeo, O' Romeo.. where art' thou romeo?" She smirks, then heads to the trellace to climb upwards and join him. Alicia can't help but smile, feeling uplifted by his prescence.

Yi finishes stretching and sits upon the pew sideways, watching the two with a wry grin and a light in her eye.

As she steps onto the balcony, Nevada stands at the railing, looking out across the church."But, soft! what light through yonder window breaks?" he asks, glancing about. "It is the east, and Juliet is the sun." He turns to Alicia, wafting closer to her with a teflon-coated smile and mock theatrics. "Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon, who.. blah.. blah.. blah," he seems to forget the words somewhere in between teasing drama and kissing her on the mouth.

Alicia blinks and falls right into his lips, her arms circling around his hips. All thoughts of anger is quickly melted away by the charm of the youth's theathrics and charisma. "MMmm.." She says against his mouth, leaning into his body as her fingers play with the fabric of his shirt.

"If you're not careful, the balcony will break," the raggie Canto-Gnawer chuckles. "But that is because the church is old, not because you are heavy." Yi grins, leaning back against the pew like she's watching Days of Our Lives.

Nevada slants his mouth over hers, tasting like wine coolers and candy canes. He chuckles low from his throat and presses his lips to her forehead, squeezing her into his arms. "Missed you," he says, rolling his eyes comically at Ruins-the-Moods' comments from the sidelines.

"Ah've missed ya too." She drawls softly, squeezing her arms around him in a tight embrace as a soft, contented sigh passes her lips, giggling under her breath. "Mmm.. ya taste good, got any o'dat left? Ah' could use a drink."

The moment is interrupted by 3 sharp raps on the Church door. "OPEN UP! POLICE!!"

Yi isn't short of wits, and springs up from her spot on the pew easily. Her footsteps are quick as she motions with Nevada and Arizona to get off the balcony and look..normal.

Nevada breaks away sharply from Alicia. Police? He shoots her with a look, eyes hooded. "Tell me you didn't bring them here," he whispers.

Alicia whispers back quickly. "Hell nah, I wasn't followed, sides, dat' Elan guy says there ain't no cops 'round 'ere for miles an shit." She glances about quickly around the balcony, then steps back a bit.

With a bang the doors fly open and Jarred leaps in, laughing his ass off. He saunters up to the altar. "Evening, all..."

Yi leaps out of the way of a flying door just in time to miss getting her nose smashed in. Her low growl is just barely covered, and she straightens up from a wary crouch, smoothing her hair and riled cautions down. "Jarred," she nods stiffly.

Nevada blows out a hard breath. "God damn it Jar-Jar," he yells from the balcony, half angry and half relieved,"Ganna give me a heart attack!" He reaches for Alicia's hand, squeezing. "Though I really wasn't all that scared, na," he says with a wink.

Alicia snorts and grips Nevada's hand back, glaring down at Jarred. "First ya take a girl out ta' pizza, den' ya scare da' shit outta 'er. Thanks fo' nutt'n." She smirks and leans against Nevada's back, wrapping their woven hands around his stomach.

Jarred grins at the two. "I see you found Nevada...And by the looks of things, you who have patched things up. Excellent. All's well in St. Claire."

"Yeah til I get your dumb ass back," Nevada calls with a grin. "So what's this? You guys know Arizona here? Huh?"

Yi runs her hand over her head, making little fleeting furrows through her hair. "Perhaps," she says, still a little stiffly. "Do you bring news, Jarred?" Her gaze turns towards Nevada and his girl and she nods.

Alicia giggles to Nevada and continues to lean against him, swaying slightly as her head rests upon his shoulder. Her eyes close, a soft purr echoing from her lips gently in contentment. "Yah, I was looking fer'ya 'ere last night, they got me some din din."

Jarred runs a finger over the altar, observing the fine layer of dust that comes off with distaste. "You guys need maid service in here, y'know? A nice sound system... DVD... the works."

"Would not be of much use though," Yi notes as she moves to a light switch and flicks it on and off a few times. "No electricity."

Jarred says "Ah."

"That was nice of 'em. They're real cool folks, friends of mine. Even if Jarred is a dick." Nevada says the last with a grin; he'd do anything for that loveable bastard. "So you was looking for me.. ?"

Alicia nods her head and opens up her eyes once more, grinning. "Yup, why wouldn't ah? Two love starved junenile delinquints belong ta'getha Nevada." Her fingers continue to lace with his. "By th'way, ah did' get pregnant, but ah' lost it." She mutters, raising up a brow slightly to him. "Got punched ah' few times in th' /home/. Right in th' stomach."

Yi shrugs in the dimness of the church, making a little note to bring some candles sometime. "Not that we need much luxury," she says, again taking her seat in the pew. "This place could use some cleaning though," she adds thoughtfully as she looks about the church with an interested light.

Alicia watches Nevada head out the doors after having a lil talk between the two, then sighs, leaning against the railing of the balcony at the two.

"Now that you've found him, are you staying here?" Yi asks somewhat directly, though her eyes are gazing upwards towards the rafters. "He is... different now from his past, you know."

Alicia shrugs her shoulders and toes the floor a bit. "He's not tha' different, he still gotta silvah tongue an he can sure kiss." She smiles a big, giddy. "Ah' Guess ah' can stay, he n' ah are meant ta' be an all dat' shit."

Yi scoots a bit and leans against the end of the pew, near the darker shadows of the church. "See the world with rose-colored glasses now, only to find the cracks later," she murmurs to herself.

Jarred returns his gaze to the two. "So just like that, it's all back to normal?"

Alicia shrugs her shoulders and slips down off the balcony, landing on her heavy booted feet. "Well, he an I still gottah talk for a bit, but yah, I'm sho' it'll all be coo'. Its obvious the two of us still got it rough fo' each other."

The Asian Gnawer sits back up, and shifts a little restlessly. "He's changed, like I said. No more drugs, no more gangs. Will you change too?" Yi questions, eyeing the healing puncture marks in the girl's arm.

Alicia thinks for a moment, glancing to her arm, rubbing slightly over the wounds. "He's not? Ya kidding me right? Dis'is /Nevada/ we are talking 'bout."

"I'm not kidding. He's gone through many trials," Yi replies calmly. "You've probably also been through much, coming all this way to find him. I hope your friendship is also renewed and grows strong," she adds with a sincere tone.

Alicia furrows her brows and glances away for a bit, sighing heavily. "So..what happened ta' him to make him change?"

Yi sighs softly, returning her gaze upwards to the dusty rafters. "Finding there is much more to the world," comes the gnawer's quiet reply. "Much more gain, and much more loss."

"O'course theres a lot ta' lose..thats what life is all'a 'bout. Losing what ya' 'ave in less time as possible." Arizona licks her lips and glances back down to them. "So, how he'd get mixed up in ya'll? Jar Jar seems real rich like, an yo' are definitly new ta' da' usa."

Yi sits up from her spot on the pew, turning her eyes from rafter to gaze darkly at Arizona. "I came from Hong Kong," she says with a nod. "My grandmother's wish to meet a friend to my family. Of course, it's a little hard to find him, but I'm not in much of a hurry to go back." Her eyes drop a little to look over the curves in the old wooden bench. "If I go back at all," she adds in a whisper more to herself.

"Ok.." She says, licking her lips. "So how'd ya get mixed up wi' Nevada tho'? He's a thug yo', a man of the streets, an ya seem like a lil innocent chicky." She plops down onto the pew across from her. "Yer definitly not a gang banger."

Yi can't help but look up at the girl, a soft raise of her eyebrow accompanying the movement. She shakes her head. "No, I did not join any gangs. I've had plenty of experiences with them, though. I met Nevada by another friend of his, named Jay. We met at a party."

Alicia cants her head to the side. "Oh..ah' don't know any of his homies named Jay, must be some new dude. Dat' yer boyfriend or something?"

Yi chuckles a little, strained as it is. "He may have been," she gives the girl her vague reply. "Jay's... gone though."

Alicia snorts. "Yah, just like most guys. First dey' knock ya up, den' bam! Dey' be gone da' next day." She shrugs her shoulders a bit. "Pfft.. who needs 'em anyways right? Dey' only good for one thang. Which is a job so us hotties can eat bonbon's an watch TV." She grinsa bit.

Yi quirks her head slightly, not quite understanding the slang used in that. "Jay was killed, in a fight." Her truth comes out. "I would not sit around and watch TV because of that." Her eyes are a little hard, but it comes from misunderstanding.

Alicia blinks. "Huh? Oh! That..sucks....No.. I meant by that, was when the guy's are at work, making money, that us lil wim'n can sit at home and just kick it." She casts her gaze towards her. "I'm sorry 'dat yer boyfriend bit it tho'."

Yi nods at Alicia's explanation, looking back down at the bench in front of her. "It's ok. He died with honor," she says, letting her voice fade into the church's shadows. "I wouldn't feel right, just sitting around though. Would you not rather be doing something too? School, work, something to keep the mind busy?"

"Of course I would, no man can keep me down." She grins. "But its cool to let them think they do." Hopping to her feet, she smoothes down her jeans. "So what do you guys do? Besides hang out in a church?"

Yi glances up at her, remaining in her sitting position. "I work, part-time at the Chinese restaurant not too far from here. Walk around the city, and 'hang out' here yes." She takes care not to mention of the forests or the farmhouse. "What will you do, while you're here?"

"Same o', Same o'. Girl gotta get paid." Alicia glances over to her, stretching out her body, yawning. "Ah'get by, prolly kick it wi' Nevada mostly, see whats up wi' him an what he's down with."

Looking over the girl, Yi's eyebrow rises a little. "How about school?" she asks, the rememberance of her mother pressing her to go to the institutions even though they did little more than just add problems bubbling in her mind's memory.

"Does Nevada go to school?" She smirks, glancing over her shoulder to her. "Ah' haven't been ta' school since Nev kidnapped me from it an helped me join da' streets."

Yi shrugs, unsure what the Galliard cub does in his spare time while she stirfrys over hot woks. "Maybe he does," she offers, though the certainty isn't there. "I don't claim to be his mother," she grins a bit wryly.

Alicia giggles a bit at that. "Ah don't think he does, he was neva' dat bright anyways ta' begin wi'." She slips her heavy jacket off, scratching her shoulder absently.

Yi tilts her head slightly to lean upon the back of the pew. "Well, I am glad he has another good friend around," she smiles to the girl. "What are you planning on doing tonight?" she asks, arching her brows curiously.

Alicia shrugs her shoulders absently in thought. "Dunno actually... I wasn't planning on doing much, prolly jus' a bit of reading, maybe see if I can scam some chow off some guy, pick up some pocket cash one way or the other. You?"

Yi looks up through the dark church windows, scratching slightly on her arm. "Probably walk around the city. If you want food, I know a few places. The restaurant is one. There might be some food downstairs, nothing too fancy." Her smile curves a little up one side before she looks towards the door.

Alicia nods her head and rubs her stomach. "Ok, I'll scrounge something up down below an kick it here. I guess I'll see ya tonight?"

Yi nods, standing up and brushing off her jeans. "Sure," she replies simply with a nod. "Welcome, to the Church Hotel. Dinner is Self Serve. Please enjoy your stay." With a service girl type of bow, she grins and trots out.
