Harbor Park Meadow(#194RJ)
One of the last bastions of green left in the city, occasionally mottled and withered grass and weeds covers the earth like a badly stained carpet. The vegetation seems marginally healthier the further it is from the river and much healthier towards the central area of the park around the fountain. Overpowering the scent of living vegetation are the exhaust fumes from a busy street to the west and an unpleasant stench from the Columbia River to the east. A rusted chain link fence delineates the territorial boundaries between the park and the encroaching city. Unchecked hedges and vines interweave through the fence, as if the park wanted to distance itself from the city--or the local community wanted to distance itself from the eerie park. Despite the foliage, the majority of the open meadow is easily seen. People in tall buildings or on boats have an excellent view of any goings-ons. In the center of the park, a small glade of six tall trees and a flower bed surrounds a lovely... plywood barricade.
The murky waters of the Columbia River flow swiftly along the east side of the park. Bracketing the park to the west is First Street and the city of St. Claire.

Yi sits cross-legged upon a bench, observing the night activities around the meadow from her central point.

Alicia storms into the park, cussing up a story, whipping her hair back from her face. She blows warm air into her hands, wearing only a halter top and jeans.

Yi turns to look at the stormy girl, head turning slowly like a lazy, or nonchalant cat. Her eyes catch onto and recognize her despite the dimness of the night. For the moment, she is silent, observing Alicia's silliness in wearing such bare clothing on a cold night.

Alicia doesn't notice the young Asian as she travels, kicking a soda can along the ground, mummering to herself. Rubbing her arms, she shivers a few times, sighing heavily.

"Quite a cold night, to be wearing so little," Yi comments as the girl passes by, seemingly not noticing the quiet Cantonese. "You're angry," she points out to the obvious.

Alicia spins around, nearly letting out a yelp at the voice. It takes her a moment to recognize Yi, then lets out a long breath. "Yah, something like that." She says in a huff. "An I ain't cold."

Yi arches an eyebrow, eyeing the goosebumps rising on Alicia's bareskin. She shrugs, warm in her double layer of shirt and sweatshirt. "Ok then," she says with all the world looking like a lion addressing a mouse. "What are you angry at?"

Alicia sighs heavily. "Are you a Garou?" She asks, straight forward, looking for an answer, or at least a reaction.

Yi feels her other eyebrow rise up, though this one involuntarily. For the moment, she just blinks at the girl, her mind churning whether or not to keep the Veil or find out how this girl knows about the Garou.

Alicia crosses her arms and continues to play this game, one she has come to know quite well from the streets. "I'm one too, its not a big deal, you can tell me." She plays her lips into that manipulative, sweet smile.

"If I am or am not, does that change anything?" Yi replies, calm in her own question and distrusting of the smile across Alicia's lips. She makes a mental note to ask Nevada later what in the hell happened.

"Not at all Yi, why would it? We're like family or something." Sneaky, sneaky. Alicia continues to play the game as she nears closer to her, grinning.

Yi drums her fingers once over her knee as she continues to sit, rather unmovingly as Alicia draws closer. "Supposedly," the Asian gives her one word reply. The arched eyebrows come down, returning to their natural curved look.

Alicia pauses for a moment, thinking, then slips down next to her. "So, what tribe are you?" Licking her lips, she tosses back her hair away from her shoulders.

Yi turns her head to look at Alicia full on, just a little uncomfortable at the close proximity but keeping that facade of calm nonchalance. "Even if I told you, it wouldn't mean anything. Who told you what you know?"

Alicia raises a brow. "Why wouldn't it mean anything? And a few people have told me, I've been one my entire life, I just didn't know you guys were either. Y'know, like Nevada an all that." She brushes away her bangs.

Yi's face hints just slightly at a smirk, but she continues to press on, using her special gift to coax the information from the girl. "Well, we're all equal in some ways. Nevada's a friend, but he's not that perceptive. Who else told you?"

((Long distance to the room: Yi smacks ya with a Persuasion.))

Alicia hmm's slightly, then runs a hand back through her hair. "Perrin did also."

Yi looks off again towards the meadow, nodding slightly. She makes no move to further the conversation, but not much of one to change it towards a different subject. "So you never told me, why you were angry."

"I'm angry because I just found out I'm a Garou." She says, blowing the game off, waving a hand through the air. "No one will even tell me what the fuck it is, or what the hell a tribe is. This perrin guy took one look at me an started asking me shit.. Then Nevada comes in an acts like its nothing an says the guy is on crack. But I'm not stupid."

"Uh hunh," Yi replies a bit more relaxed, if she was anymore tense in her replies than before. Her expression then undergoes a transition from thoughtful, to curiously suspicious.

Alicia glances over to her and raises a brow. "And by your reaction, you know exactly what the hell it is, and I know you are one too. So what is it? Is it slang for some kinda gang thing? A racial slur, what? I want to know, curiousity killed the cat an I'm the one with a loaded gun."

Yi nods, and stands up, turning to the girl. She seems to give a little sigh, then unconsciously sets a sort of decided tone in her voice. "Ok then. If you want to know, you'll have to come back with me to the church." With that, she begins walking.

Alicia blinks and stands up, quickly heading after Yi. "This better be good, and not be a trap, and no cops." She says warily, licking her lips, teeth chattering from the cold.

"It's only a trap, if you want it to be," Yi replies cryptically as she walks.

Forgotten Church(#1801RAJLM)
The old church is dark, dimly lit by outside light coming in through scum-encrusted windows during the day, and tomblike during the night. There is a coatroom in the back of the nave, with separate doors leading off to mens' and womens' restrooms, and two staircases, one going up to the balcony and bell-tower, and the other leading down to the basement. The double doors leading out to the street are at the back of the coatroom.
The hard wooden pews in the sanctuary are, for the most part, still intact. There are even Bibles and hymnals left in the shelves along the back of each row, although many of them look rather chewed on. The altar on a dais at the front of the church is empty, and the lectern that once stood next to it has been knocked over. Rotting red cloth hangs at the very front of the church; there might once have been a design on it, but it has long since faded or been eaten away.

Yi opens the doors, waves the girl in while looking around, and closes the door after.

Alicia strides in, glancing around, looking for Perrin or for Nevada, not seeing either.

Yi glances around to double check, then heads down the center aisle, downstairs to the basement.

You go down to the basement.

Forgotten Church Basement(#1279RJLM)
This basement is only partly below ground level, and there are windows evenly spaced on the walls, right below the ceiling level. The main part of it is a large open area with a small kitchen in one corner and a large, ratty carpet in the center, covering the cement floor. There is a rather large window in the kitchen; it looks as though it might actually open onto the street. On the wall opposite the kitchen is a large bin, and there are folding tables along the wall perpendicular to it. On the other wall there are a few folding chairs, many fewer than one would expect from the number of tables.
A hallway next to the kitchen leads off to two offices and what once might have been a classroom.

Yi takes a few moments to rearrange some blankets against the wall, in a sort of lump that would serve as a chair. She motions for the girl to have a seat.

Alicia glances about the basement, then plops down onto the lump, pulling her knees up against her.

Yi glances in the doorway to the kitchen for a moment, then places herself at the center of the room a short ways away from Alicia. "So, you want to know what a Garou is. A Garou..." She pauses. Her eyes gaze directly at her, dead on. "Are you /sure/ you want to know? Because if I tell you, you might wish you didn't want to find out."

((You paged the room with 'You take the red pill... or the blue pill.....'.))

Alicia finds herself moving her eyes away, biting her lip. "Ah' guess ah' do.." She says in a mummer. "Its pissing me off that I'm being called something an I don'know what it is."

Yi takes a couple of deep breaths, perhaps stalling. Inside, a swirl of whether or not she could trust Perrin's automatic judgement of Alicia being a Garou. Still, she catches the edge of the girl's murmur. "If that is all you want to know, then I tell you it's not bad in most respects. You shouldn't worry about it now," she states, somewhat content with her extremely vague explanation. "It's a word we use for people, who seem... like they like wolves."

Alicia raises a brow up at her. "I don't like wolves period, and your a horrible liar. C'mon now, Your talking to me. Arizona, the bitch of the streets. Ah'can smell bullshit when its stepped on. Your holding something from me. Fuck it. Nevermind then, I don't want to know." She pushes herself up, heading back to the doors.

"Well, I doubt you'd believe me if I told you. I'd have to show you, and I don't think you're ready for it," comes the swift reply from Yi. She doesn't, however, make any move to stop the girl.

Alicia shrugs her shoulders as she pauses at the door, glancing over to her. "You name one person who's ready for 'everything' and 'anything' life has to offer then."

"You?" Yi retorts, challengingly. "You have no idea. You'd be the one to run from the problems and hide behind the sting of your needles and smoke of your cigarettes."

Alicia drops her head slightly and rubs absently over her punctured arm, biting her lip. She stays silent, not saying anything.

Yi runs her hand through her hair, little furrows of frustration and indecision lining her brow. "I asked you if you really wanted to know. You didn't seem sure. Now, you're going to run and be nagged by your inner curiosity maybe, and go around asking everyone if they know what a Garou is and if they are one. If you do that, you'll get hurt, or even killed maybe, and I can't let that happen." She sighs heavily, letting her hand drop to her side.

"Don't worry 'bout it, I don't even care anymore. I'll just go back to wasting my life and killing myself slowly." With a heavy sigh, she pushes her way through the doors and back upstairs.

You climb up the stairs to the ground floor of the church.

Yi comes up the stairs, a little hurriedly after the girl. "I meant what I said," she tells Alicia, "You're Nevada's friend, and I don't want to you get hurt or killed because of what you don't understand."

Alicia shrugs and heads towards her jacket an backpack on the bench. "Don't worry 'bout it, I won't say a thing, because I don't give a fuck. You tell Nevada to have a nice life. I'm going to get myself all stoned out the ass, because thats what you expect of me."

Yi grits her teeth and clenches a hand to a fist, bringing it slowly to tap her forehead. "Can't you see /anything/ better in life than to run from it? What is the matter with you?" She lowers her fist, glaring up at the girl with angered, frustrated eyes. "You leave the food untasted, and never bring yourself to test if it truly is spoiled. I tell you, that if you go as you have living, you won't achieve anything and it will all be your fault. /Not/ because Life bit you in the ass, but because /you/ had no fangs to bite it with." Her fist slams into a pew to punctuate the statement. "Grow up, Arizona."

"Yah whatever, an obviously you don't know what sarcasm is. For your lil info, I was nearly an A plus student before I met Nevada an he dragged me into the streets, turning me into the lil bitch that you see. He gave me freedom. So I shot myself in the foot due to blind love, who cares, whoopie doo. But y'know what? I don't plan on living my entire life like this ok? But even though, At this moment, I'm sitting up in a church with a buncha head cases that is surrounding the word "Garou" and acting like its a huge millitary secret. This is St. Claire's, not Area 51. If you got something to say, say it, don't hop around it. Otherwise, I'm outtie."

"Fine," Yi retorts monosyllabically. "Go. And when you truly want to know, then come back." She simply glares, dark eyes burning with an inner fire of Rage.

Alicia shrugs and turns, heading out of the church, letting the door slam behind her in retort, still feeling the hard glare in the back of her head.
