Forgotten Church(#1801RAJLM)
The old church is dark, dimly lit by outside light coming in through scum-encrusted windows during the day, and tomblike during the night. There is a coatroom in the back of the nave, with separate doors leading off to mens' and womens' restrooms, and two staircases, one going up to the balcony and bell-tower, and the other leading down to the basement. The double doors leading out to the street are at the back of the coatroom.
The hard wooden pews in the sanctuary are, for the most part, still intact. There are even Bibles and hymnals left in the shelves along the back of each row, although many of them look rather chewed on. The altar on a dais at the front of the church is empty, and the lectern that once stood next to it has been knocked over. Rotting red cloth hangs at the very front of the church; there might once have been a design on it, but it has long since faded or been eaten away.

Street Basement

Yi slips into the church, with a slight creak of the doors as she closes them after her. She gazes around, seeing if anyone inhabits the place by day.

No one really inhabits the place by day, but Allie could be seen. The Silent Strider is poking around, querying, "Jay? Y' here?" Then the girl pauses, and shakes her head, before turning to peer at the sight of Yi. The half moon blinks twice, yet says nothing.

Yi stops her gaze at the Strider, fumbling slightly with her English, "Ah, excuse me... I was looking for someone." She shifts her weight a little, peering at the stranger and wondering...

Allie blinks, once more. "Who?" she echoes, stepping closer to the Hong Kong native with a tilted head, good eye focusing on Yi curiously.

Yi brushes a hand through her hair, like she does when nervous or thinking, "A person named Jay," she says a little stiltedly.

"Oh. I'm lookin' for him, too." Allie bites her lower lip, regarding Yi for a moment, and adds, "I'm Allie."

Yi inclines her head in short bow she's accustomed to in greeting. "I am Yi Ling. Pleasure to meet you," she adds, the courtesies she's learned through countless tourist guiding in HK coming back to her. "Were you meeting Jay here for something?" she inquires, a little too much like a secretary of sorts.

Allie runs a hand through her hair. "No, I just wanted to talk to him. About..." Her voice trails off. "Stuff."

Yi nods slightly, working her way down the aisle and into one of the pews. She sits atop the back, planting her feet on the wooden seat and hunches slightly, gazing at her.

Allie. "I see..." she replies, "He and I... ah, had some plans as well." Her gaze lightens curiously a bit, her mind wondering if... "Do you know, of a few other friends Jay has? They are supposed to have a sort of meeting, soon..."

"You're a G--" Allie mentally slaps herself. Remember, do not speak of the Veil! You'll break it, dimwit. "Well, um, I know a few people that Jay hangs out with, yeah."

Yi smiles. Perhaps her suspicion was confirmed, though she also did not want to break any unnecessary things. "I met Jay just a few nights ago. He has, ah, interesting friends. Very talented." Her gaze turns from Allie slightly to the door, hoping someone she knew would come in and help her out.

Allie watches Yi for a moment, and then asks, "How'd you know Jay?"

Yi sinks into the pew, though still sitting a little more straightly than normal. "I met him with his friends a few nights ago. The moon was rather beautiful that night..." her gaze goes from the door back to Allie as she raises an eyebrow slightly.

Allie steps a bit closer to Yi, eyes narrowing. She considers this for a moment, and nods. "It was full," she says.

Yi nods a little, inclining her head. "Do you know a couple of his other friends? Two of them, named Max, and Kaz?"

Allie considers this. "I know Kaz," she answers to the Ragabash, smirking. "I think I know why you're lookin' for Jay." The Philodox lifts her chin slightly, and exhales heavily.

Jay pushes open the doors as he strides in, the long worn jacket flowing about his strong visage as tendrils of brown bangs dip down into his opaque pools. The thumping of his sneakers echo through the dimly lit chambers of the church, clearing his throat slightly as he hears the voices from within. Dressed in a pair of torn at the knee's black jeans, a heavy look blue shirt, and a cordoroy jacket which hangs to about his waist.

Yi smiles and swipes away an intruding bang. "Do you?" she asks, watching the halfmoon exhale probably in relief. She turns and sees the very subject the two of them are discussing, and waves. "Jay."

Allie glances over her shoulder, at Jay, and grins. "Hey, man," she says to the Bone Gnawer, and then looks back to Yi. She turns and approaches Jay. "Goin' on my second Rite soon," she tells him, but under her breath so Yi might not hear.

Jay stops before the smaller girl, crossing the thick arms over his chest, a grin touching his features. "Congrat's Chases-Dreams-Of-The-Heart" He says softly, ruffling up her hair, then waves to Yi. "Yo Mulan, Watashi No!"

"Ashes-of-Bennu," Allie then tells Jay. "Phoenix. Rising from the fire and changing. I know now, I listen and I just don't pretend to listen anymore." Her voice has a solemn quality to it, at the moment, as she explains this to the Bone Gnawer. "She one of us?" then is her inquiry, gesturing a hand to 'Mulan'.

Yi relaxes a little more into the pew now that Jay's here. Ah, her saviour... who speaks strangely. She sits back up and peers at Allie. ~For a moment there, one'd thought you were going to slip a crack in the Veil, na?~ she grins. "I am Cantonese, Jay, not Japanese," she laughs, though she understands a bit of what he said.

Jay shrugs slightly and grins, heading past Allie. "Yah, she's in th' know, she's one of my tribe actually." Glancing over to the CANTONESE girl, he raises a brow. "Anyways, not like I know the difference. Blah. I'm premium white trash."

"And I'm premium...um. Something." Allie smirks at Yi, and then clears her throat. "Allie Gardiner, once Truth's Feather and Speaks-Right and Chases-Dreams-of-the-Heart and other things, now Ashes-of-Bennu, Philodox to the Silent Striders twice-cub going on her second Rite of Passage soon. Whew."

Yi swings around from her seat to sit on the back of the pew in front. "Song Yi Ling, a no-moon of Bone Gnawers. ~Three-Blades~ to Gaia's children. Pleasure to meet you, with a full introduction this time."

Jay plops down next to 'Mulan' and yawns, leaning back, kicking a foot up on the top of the pew across from him, stretching out his arms in a pop. "Man.. I'm hella tired. I really need to start getting some sleep."

"Nice t' meet you," Allie says, and glances to Jay. "Me, too. Dies-for-Others won't let me on the bawn because I'm a cub and I can't stay in the caern or anything. It's so incredibly _stupid_."

Jay grins slightly to Allie. "Well..once ya pass yer rite, it'll all be good. Don't worry, just have patience." He leans back, draping an arm around Yi's shoulders, then tugs her in for a quick noogie.

Yi looks to Jay, then Allie. "Stupid would not be the word for it," she says with a smile playing over her features. "I've not yet met any other tribes in this city's sept eith--ack!" She goes wide eyed for a moment as she get an unexpected American show of friendship. "Aiya, let go you big silly fullmoon," she says with a slight push to his hands.

Jay grins and lets her go, wiping his hands off on his jeans as his addicting smile crosses his features.

Yi brushes her hair back into place, though it's got a few tangles now that she doesn't mind. "It's hoped that once Jay and I have finished our mission, I'd be allowed at least on the bawn of your caern's lands," she says to Allie, casting a grin and glare, though a gentle one, at Jay.

Allie, seeming envious, just says, "I can't go to the caern. So."

Jay smiles and kisses his hand, then slaps his hip playfully, glancing to Allie. "I've been there...its kinda cool." Rubs it in.

Yi suddenly realizes, a Strider in this city. Just how many tribes are there, she wonders. "This city has such variety in its tribes, to even have Striders," she voices her thought.

Allie laughs. "We've got every tribe, here, in the sept," she says to Yi, somewhat proud of the Hidden Walk in that aspect.

Jay nods his head and starts counting on his fingers. "We got...wendigo out in the woods... Furies.." He makes a face slightly. "Fianna...Get of Fenris... Um... The Gnawers of course... a few Glass Walkers.."

Yi looks on with awe, simply amazed. "Even Stargazers?"

Allie runs her tongue across her teeth. "Two of 'em," she reports to Yi.

Yi would fall off her pew if she weren't sitting in it. "Even the Gazers have found this city. I'm surprised none of the talesingers that passed through our part of the city in HK hadn't spoken of it."

Allie grins. "Been here for eight months. Not many Stargazers, but...lots of Fianna and Furies and Get and Gnawers."
