Forgotten Church(#1801RAJLM)
The old church is dark, dimly lit by outside light coming in through scum-encrusted windows during the day, and tomblike during the night. There is a coatroom in the back of the nave, with separate doors leading off to mens' and womens' restrooms, and two staircases, one going up to the balcony and bell-tower, and the other leading down to the basement. The double doors leading out to the street are at the back of the coatroom.
The hard wooden pews in the sanctuary are, for the most part, still intact. There are even Bibles and hymnals left in the shelves along the back of each row, although many of them look rather chewed on. The altar on a dais at the front of the church is empty, and the lectern that once stood next to it has been knocked over. Rotting red cloth hangs at the very front of the church; there might once have been a design on it, but it has long since faded or been eaten away.

Street Basement

Yi leans slightly on the pew in front of her, dozing off a tad. The shift in time frames is not as harsh on her as would be normally from a jet flight, but a month in a crate where there was no way to tell day to night, is quietly creeping up and taking its toll.

Shadow Eyes pads up and simply touches his cold nose to a bare leg, arm or foot.

Yi opens her eyes in surprise, feeling a coldspot ripple over her and up to her brain. She turns and sees Shadow Eyes, then yelps even more surprised, fumbling back into a sitting position and blinking at the wolf.

Shadow Eyes flicks his ears. You seem to be doing well.

Yi resumes a blank look for a moment, then realizes she knows this wolf. It was the BigDog. She straightens visibly, and smiles slightly, nodding. ~I've been well. Ah, you must be...BigDog. Er, Shadow Eyes.~ She runs a hand through her tousled hair to brush it back to its rightful places, though the occassional wisp of hair refuses to lay back. ~I don't think I had a chance to introduce myself to you.~

Shadow Eyes awaits with bated breath. He sits down and flicks his ears forward.

Yi bows her head slightly in the habitual greeting learned in her culture when greeting elders. ~Song Yi Ling, a no-moon cliath from the Sept of Rat's Tail. Three-Blades, to Gaia's children.~

Shadow Eyes is Gnawer Elder in this place. Fostern, theurge and former Child of Dog. Good to meet you. What will be your chimminage to the sept, if you wish to join?

Yi glances down at the floor at the wolf's paws briefly, her eyes lost in thought briefly. She looks up again. ~If it would suit the elders... Jay and I were appointed by Banecruncher, to scout the blight in the sewers that is sending banes to your caern with no qualms.~

Shadow Eyes chuffs a bit. As you should anyway, to help keep back the Enemy. Do you offer something, then?

Seeing the scouting may be not enough as chiminage, Yi thinks a bit more of what has happened through the past 5 days. She brushes her hand again through her hair, and then gazes at the Gnawer Elder. ~Or... Kaz and the others saw it fitting, that as I am a no-moon, and rited, that I could teach the cub, Max, of the Garou ways.~

Shadow Eyes scratches his side a bit. Actually...yes. The scouting should be sufficient, now that I think of it. You should indeed tutor Max as well, but..the scouting. Who would go and when?

Yi smiles, the approval from the elder lifting one burden from her thoughts. ~The ahroun, Jay, and I. Banecruncher thought it best to have few, so we could slip in and out quickly and unseen.~

Shadow Eyes approves, yes. Your gifts will be needed there, since full-moons are rather... eager.

Yi grins and nods, almost wanting to hug the lupus, but restraining herself. Her thoughts run to a different topic as well, one that is more involving in the Garou of this caern. ~Elder... I wish to ask a favor, if it is not too much.~

Jay heads into the church, stretching out his arms in a tired yawn as he rubs teh back of his neck. A sigh touching his lips, looking like he just woke up.

Shadow Eyes cocks his head. Yes?

Yi swallows briefly, turning briefly to see Jay, smiling, and turns back to the elder. ~I heard from a Strider of this city's sept, that there will be a gathering of the Garou very soon. The next night from this, if I remember. Would it be... allowed... if I were to attend the gathering? As a guest? I would like to see how the Garou of the West perform their gatherings.~

Jay makes his way to Yi, nudging her as he passes, then flops down into 'his' pew, leaning back, scratching his head as he dips his head respectvily to 'big dog', relaxing.

Shadow Eyes will need to bring you there to introduce yourself before the sept; you will have guest status until you complete your chiminage.

Yi's smile widens and she nods affirmingly, very happy that she will get to see this great gathering. ~I've heard from the Strider, that there are Garou of all tribes here. I've never seen such a moot. It will be an honor.~

Shadow Eyes, indeed, can confirm we have all tribes here. Some are small in number. We are large, one of the largest here, in fact.

Yi finally relaxes back into the pew, turning her gaze from Shadow to Jay. "I'm happy. This is something many of the Gnawers in HK will never see..." her voice trails off, then looks at the ceiling.

Shadow Eyes pads up to nuzzle Yi. Why is that?

Jay smiles as he watches the two, his eyes look red, vision blurry as he rubs his face.

Yi raises a hand and gently pet-scratches the elder around the ears, massaging softly. "It is true, that many of us do not survive for long on the streets. The wars among triads grows with the blood-drinkers as well."

Jay yawns once more, then draws a knee up to his chest as he leans against it. His sigh once more forms his lips, then drifts back to sleep.

Shadow Eyes growls as the Leeches are mentioned. It is hard enough in the city without those monsters.

Yi sits up a little more, and gazes at the elder's furry self. ~True. One starts to think the entire city is a blight itself on the face of Gaia. Still... as long as the children in the cities fight for Her, we will find a way. Even if it means spitting into the mouth of fishbait.~ She rubs the elder's soft fur some more. ~One wonders why the elder chooses to walk around in lupus so much, Shadow Eyes-rhya.~

Shadow Eyes whuffles. It is warmer than most coats.

Yi laughs at the elder's statement. Such an obvious answer to her problem of warmth. After all, St. Claire is so much colder at night as well. ~You speak such truth,~ she chuckles. ~I will remember it the next time I find myself shivering in the night's wind.~

Shadow Eyes licks his muzzle. Also, since we are mistaken for dogs, we can listen where a person could not, hear things people would not think twice of saying in front of a dog.
