Forgotten Church(#1801RAJLM)
The old church is dark, dimly lit by outside light coming in through scum-encrusted windows during the day, and tomblike during the night. There is a coatroom in the back of the nave, with separate doors leading off to mens' and womens' restrooms, and two staircases, one going up to the balcony and bell-tower, and the other leading down to the basement. The double doors leading out to the street are at the back of the coatroom.
The hard wooden pews in the sanctuary are, for the most part, still intact. There are even Bibles and hymnals left in the shelves along the back of each row, although many of them look rather chewed on. The altar on a dais at the front of the church is empty, and the lectern that once stood next to it has been knocked over. Rotting red cloth hangs at the very front of the church; there might once have been a design on it, but it has long since faded or been eaten away.

Street Basement

Yi stands in the spacious center of the church's altar, eyes closed though swaying slightly from side to side. To any unseen watchers, it'd seem as if she were being moved by something spiritual. To the more knowing of club scenes, it'd look like she was trying to dance to some inner music.

Jay watches from the rafters, his opaque eyes glittering brightly from the shadows. He is just like his name, One-Rage-In-Shadows, always a flirting shade of darkness, strung out along the infinite patterns of time and space. He watches, breath held, high up in the ceiling, where only bats would dare live.

Yi dances along, a little more sinuous and graceful than before when she was learning how to dance to a different beat. This dance gradually lengthens to a different sort, though, as her arms and legs cut smoothly through the air in curving lines. A mix of dance and martial arts. She is still caught in her own activities, and doesn't notice the watcher in the shadow.

Jay lets his eyes train upon her movements as he watches, shifting slightly as a hint of dust filters down from above, spiraling in the midst of Luna's light as she radiates through the cracks in the broken windows of the church. His eyes narrow to thin slits as he stands up, leaping to the next rafter, landing deftly, like a cat, silent and at ease.

Yi plants a foot on the ground, and in a long swinging arc seemingly leaps up to the air from a standstill and brings her other foot crashing down onto the altar wood. Or it seemly would've crashed right through the wood, but instead only plants softly with a light thud against the floor, sending small puffs rising as she slips into splits. Almost immediately after, she rolls in an inverted scissor kick and is up on her feet, whirling and elbowing an unseen foe. Her other arm comes up to grab the neck in a choke, and freed fist turns back in strike. Here she stops as the feeling of dust flits onto her face, and she opens her eyes slowly.

The cat like agility helps him leap from rafter to rafter, his feet barely touching as he goes. Finally, Jason makes his way towards the banister, then slowly, slips down it. There's a slight movement from the shadows, then he finally appears. Stepping from the veiling curtains of darkness, he dips his head in a nod to her, clearing his throat.

Yi turns, as her back was to him when he appeared, and wipes away a strand of hair that was plastered to her head. "Ah, Jay..." she smiles, a little embarrassed about her sweaty, tousled appearance from her workout. "I was.. practicing. Or, trying to. I suppose it is not the same without your techno music..." she laughs softly.

Jay chuckles at her. "I know you were. And it was intresting, and well executed to say the least." He smiles, sliding down into a pew, leaning back as he cants his head to her, his feral gaze washing over the young asian. "Well, when your ready for the clubs, I'm more then willing to take you to one."

Yi rubs a bit of dust out of her eyes, and nods with a smile. "I did not hear you come in, Jay. I should work on feeling my environment more, as Si-fu said to me before I left." She laughs at this and approaches to sit on the pew next to the ahroun. "I spoke with BigDog...eh... Shadow Eyes. He says that the scouting can be as chiminage for the sept." She smiles wider at this. It would mean a chance to stay and get to know the St. Claire Garou.

Jay nods to her as he grins. "Yah, I heard. Awesome deal. Anyways, I was in here with you the whole time. Just won't tell ya where." He has an impish grin on his face, a knowing smile, one that is begging to tell.

Yi wipes a bit more of the dust from her face, quirking her head to a side as her eyes gaze at him. "Won't tell me?" she makes a mock-pout of a face, then glances around, thinking about the possible places an ahroun as he could hide, starting with the place he had slipped into view from the shadows.

Jay grins and clears his throat. "Geez... I won't make ya hurt yer brains or anything." He points upwards. "I was in the rafters. Just hanging out." Leaning forward, he props his head up in the palms of his hands, dark eyes glowing in the flickering textures of the church.

Yi looks upward into the shadows of the rafters as he points. Her brow creases a moment as she tries to figure just how he could get up there in the first place, as she saw no ladder or jumping spot to leap from. "How..." she murmurs softly in wonder. Short people are like that.

Jay shrugs again. "I'm a good climber. So anyways, how do you find this night?" He asks, scratching his chest as he slips a hand under his shirt, letting out another yawn. He seems a bit exhausted, probably from exercising nearly the entire day. His sweaty musk still intoxicating upon the air.

Yi's lip tugs at one edge in an understanding, playful grin. "This night is well. Our time for the scouting draws close, and tomorrow will find me perhaps...ah... what is the word.... excited?" She turns her gaze from the rafters to his opaque ones, brushing her hair backwards, nose crinkling slightly. "What did you do during the day, Jay?"

Jay shrugs his shoulders slightly. "I worked out...the entire day." He grins, letting out another soft yawn. "I was really in the mood to sweat and just bulk up..so thats what I did." Clearing his throat, he chuckles softly. "I'm excited to go out scouting as well. I really hope we pull this off."

Yi wraps her hair with one hand, and holds it up in a ponytail above her neck for a few moments, letting the skin on her neck cool as well. While she does so, his yawn transfers over to her and she yawns widely, putting up her hand over her mouth. She blinks a few times and shakes her head. "Sorry," she says as she lets her hair flow back down against her shoulders and back. "It seems we both have our ways to 'bulk up' eh?" she grins, then her expression slips back into a calm thoughtful gaze. "Where do you suppose we should start looking?" her voice comes out a little softer than usual.

Jay thinks for a few moments as he rubs the stubbled chin in thought. "Hmm.... I was thinking... probably the sewer systems closest to the bawn, since its where most of the activity is." His eyes narrow as he picks apart a plan in his head.

Yi gazes down at the pew seat as she too muses where to start. "The most activity may be at the bawn..." she starts, "but suppose to find the heart of this beast, we would have to look closer to the heart of the city's sewers.

Jay nods his head and grumbles. "We should ask Bane what he thinks, he knows the cities and probably the sewers a lot better then us." Leaning back, he rests his arms out at either side of him, dipping his head backwards to stare up into the dark, shadowy confines of the church.

Yi sinks down into the pew, and scoots over slightly. She tilts her head back and rests it against the ahroun's large hand, also gazing upward into the rafters. "Do you think we can do this?" she says, closing her eyes but voicing her thoughts and the shadow of doubt. Perhaps within her is still a tinge of fear in the young no-moon, new to the city and not so eagerly wanting to perish in strange lands.

Jay lets his fingers scratch the back of her head, slowly slipping through the veil of her dark hair. "No doubt. I know we can." He says softly, smiling a bit. "I've been through a lot here, and I'm still alive. This should be a piece of cake." His chest rises and falls, sliding closer as his arm drapes about her shoulders.

Yi would normally stiffen at the closeness of the ahroun or any other. Since her 'sister' and her broke their trusts in each other, Yi had not forgiven herself, nor allowed herself the chance to build any close bonds. She sighs softly though, as the arm falls about her shoulders. The warm of Jay's body drawing a little closer, her eyes opening to a half-lidded state. Her coffee brown irises turn to look at him from the corners of her eyes, and she smiles. "I thank you, Jay..."
