Christopher sighs and shakes his head letting it go. "I take it you're ragabash. I am Christopher MacPherson. Fianna, Galliard, Cub. Who are you?"
Helen clears her throat. "Ah, Fianna? Cool." Opening the fridge, she pulls out a beer. Popping the can and taking a down of it like a certian tribe is wont to do, she then says, "Helen Tisandros, called Eris and Changes-the-Subject, Black Fury no moon. Cub."
Christopher grins slightly. "Eris. Cool name. So how long have you been here Eris."
Nevada cracks a small grin at the Fury's deed-name. He finishes off the last of his cereal, then crosses to the sink to wash out the bowl.
A quiet creak and latch from the front door sounds, indicating yet another visitor. Light footsteps travel over before her head glances around the corner of the doorway and looks into the kitchen. As she spots Nevada, Yi smiles and fully enters the doorway, inclining her head slightly to the other two in her habit of greeting. "Hello."
Christopher looks over to Yi and grins. "Heya. Welcome to the party." He stands up and takes his bowl to the sink and begins to wash it out.
"Hey, Mulan!" Nevada brightens visibly upon spotting the Asian Gnawer. "Hey, guess what??"
Yi leans against the doorframe and looks over the two new faces before her attention goes back to Nevada. She tilts her head to the side, eyebrows raising in curiosity. "What?"
"Oh man, it were some weird shit," the Gnawer Galliard says. "Jay, he -- " Nevada pauses. "Umm, anyway, what's up?"
Helen regards Christopher. "Few months," she answers to the Galliard, tossing some hair from her face. She regards Yi curiously.
Yi lowers her eyebrows and gives Nevada a look. "Nothing unusual," she replies in a mix of British accented, oriental toned English. "What happened to Jay?" Her eyes flick momentarily over to Chris and Helen, knowing she should probably introduce herself.
Yi walks over to Nevada and gazes at him, her eyes wanting the news. "What happened to Jay?" her voice a bit quieter, concerned at the least.
"Eh, nothin particularly interestin," Nevada says in a bored tone that suggests his mysterious parentage might have something to do with Ben Stein. "You know Jay. Dull, dull, dull." He grins; he'll tell later.
Helen arches a brow, regarding Nevada. "I'm gonna go," she says, taking a swig of her beer. She throws it in the plastic trash can, and flees.
Yi gazes at the gnawer gibbous, her eyes narrowing. There was something the cub wasn't telling her, but she merely looks away and turns to the Fianna instead. "Ok..." she says, also nonchalantly. Her gaze falls upon the young new face, and she gives Chris another nod. "Song Yi Ling, cliath ragabash to the Gnawers. You are...?" Her eyes flick momentarily to Nevada but she looks back to the other cub again.
Christopher finishes washing out is bowl and stacks it up next to the sink with the other dishes to dry, he then looks around for a cloth to dry his hands on. "Well, I am going out to the barn to test out my new forms. Perhaps if I shift enough times, the pain will go away like you said Nevada." He says looking over to Nevada. "Anybody wish to join me?"
Christopher looks over to Yi and adds. "Christopher MacPherson. Fianna, Galliard, Cub. Nice to meet you.
Yi nods in the Fianna's direction. "I will join you, if you'd like," she offers, gazing at Nevada. "Care to come with us, Nevada?"
"Yah, sure," Nevada says. He smiles. "It OK if we catch up in two minutes, Chris?"
Christopher nods. "Yeah. C-ya then." He heads out the back door.
Yi glances after Christopher as the cub leaves, then moves over to the table and sits down. Her hands clutch each other lightly as she rests her elbows on the wooden top. Her coffee brown eyes watch Nevada expectantly.
Nevada waits a moment before he explains. "Sorry. Anyway," he says, now that fewer ears are about,"Las' night, me an Jay met dis Shadow Lord. Named Jarred. A Galliard. He was a real great guy. He got a friend a his, a Mage, ta try healin Jay. I tink it worked. Jay seem betta now." The Galliard was a little reluctant to share this information in front of a Fianna or a Black Fury.. he seems to have a slight distrust towards them. "Ya shoulda seen it, Yi. The Mage, he put his hands on Jay, an dere was dis light.. "
Yi's eyebrows raise at the mention of a mage, remembering last night's talk with Banecruncher and Jay of wizards, magick workers. Her eyes turn down to the tabletop and close briefly as she sighs quietly in a mixture of relief and worry. "Is Jay healed?" she asks quietly, still wary of others that may step in during the conversation.
"I hope," Nevada says. "I tink it might work dis time. I really do." He smiles, half excited, half relieved. "Les' go see what dis Fianna kid's made of, huh?"
Yi nods, getting up from the table. "Maybe we should teach him a little bit about our tribe," she grins. As she smiles, her jaws begin to elongate as her form shrinks, blurring into the feral form of wolf.
Three-Blades nudges the gibbous cub with her head, and whurfs. Lead the way.
Nevada grins at this. "Hold up a second," he says, pulling off his shirt. He strips off his pants, then blurs into his lupus shape. A yellow dog, he sniffs around, wagging his tail as he heads toward the door. He nudges it open with his nose, then wags his way outside.
Big Red Barn
The barn is built in the old style, a vast three level structure that is greater in height than a mere three stories, actually closer to five. Great wooden posts support the weight of the upper levels and roof, sunk into the hard-packed dirt floor of the first level like a sparse forest of regularly spaced, naked trees. The stalls and flagstones which once were here have been torn out to leave a rather open area where even crinos Garou may roam freely without fear of running into anything but the supports or the walls or the ladder at the back which allows access to the other two levels.
The first two levels are relatively open to each other, the second being only little wider than a catwalk going around all the walls but the front one, which has massive, twenty foot tall doors set into it. The third level is a true second floor except for a place cut out that allowed hay to be tossed down to the ground floor when the farm was actually worked. Now, it is a hayloft where Garou can sleep outside of the house.

BarnYard
A yellow dog, looking like some labrador or golden retriever, comes trotting in, brown nose sniffing at the ground. His tail wags, and his chokechain jangles.
A second canine, this one brown in color with a black, tapering stripe running from head to ruff, slips into the barn behind the yellow dog. Her jaws open in a lupine smile and she chuffs to the Fianna. This one is Yi.
Brown Man-Wolf growls low as his in the process of shifting up to his Crinos form. Next to him are his clothes which are neatly folded. Christopher's transformation is slow and painful. If it wasn't for the fur that is growing around his face, you could actually see the sweat as it beads his forehead. He looks like he is concintrating hard. Very hard infact. After a minute and half, the shifting process has been completed and he opens his eyes and looks over towards the two standing there. He then tries to stand up. His feet are a bit wobbly thanks to his digitigrade feet.
Sheeps pads his way over to the brown Crinos, his yellow tail wagging. He sits before him, and barks once. His tongue lolls pinkly.
Three-Blades pads forward on lupus paws, circling the large crinos. Her nose lifts, sniffing at the Fianna's scent as her ears prick forward. Impressive. You look like the kind of wolf the twolegs tell tales of. Except you are not used to the form, and you are not quite solid on your legs yet.
Brown Man-Wolf he looks around a bit disoriented from the transformation and the feeling of sense-overload as his senses are literally flooded with information all at once. He looks down at the wolf circling him and emits sort've an aknowliging chuff.
Three-Blades backs up from the crinos and tilts her head slightly to one side. You say it is painful for you to shift?
Sheeps yips in reply, patting the ground in front of him with a paw. He sniffs at the Fianna's paws.
Brown Man-Wolf looks over to Sheeps and lets him. He sits down on the ground. His hand reaches up and rubs him on the head, petting him as jently as he can like a dog.
Three-Blades sits down on her muscled haunches, tail swishing over the dusty hay covered ground. Have you a wolven name, ~Christopher~ ?
Brown Man-Wolf shakes his head.
Sheeps slurps at the Crinos' clawed hand, then tries to pounce him playfully. Watch this one, Three-Blades!
Three-Blades chuffs softly. Her ears flick in thought and her eyes shift to the yellow dog. I'm sure we can figure out a name for you.
Brown Man-Wolf yips as he is pounced and instinctivly gets the idea. He licks sheeps muzzle and rolls with him, taking care not to injure him with his size or his claws as he plays.
Allie steps in, hauling Sarafina behind her. Glancing around the barn, she then says, almost shyly, "I need help. Meet new Silent Strider cub, Sarafina. She refuses to believe what she is."
Three-Blades whuffs in a wolven laugh, the scene of a crinos playing with a big yellow dog amusing. Her eyes and ears shift over to the doorway as two more enter and she chuffs a greeting before flicking her ears briefly at the Strider's news.
"Show me what you mean?" Sarafina, echoes, now walking sturdier. In fact, she's hardly being dragged along at all, though her hand continues to try and wrench free as she strides behind Allie. "You're the most subborn psycho I've ever met, and you've made a good try-- but give up and let me go!" She nearly shrieks. "I already tol--" She suddenly cuts off, eyes widening as she sees the others, but the furious glance is quickly directed to them as well.
Brown Man-Wolf is in his Crinos form, busily playing with Sheeps...or at least trying his best without injuring him with his claws or the massive bulk of his form.
Sheeps is small but quick, girring and growfing good humoredly as he plays with the towering Crinos. Now if only they had a bone, or a sock...
Allie's voice is desperate as she says, "Help?" She stares at the Fianna, and then exhales heavily. "Sarafina, look. You are Garou. You should be proud of who you are." She turns to the new cub and allows her own fists to clench. "Listen to me. This is who you are. You are a warrior of Gaia. And you're not fucking leaving."
Brown Man-Wolf is not paying any attention to what is going on around him. He is just having fun playing with Sheeps. He tries his best to pounce him, but he isn't used to his form yet and falls over on his side.
Three-Blades growls a soft 'cut the playing for a moment' to Nevada, then rises to her paws. She lopes over with a quiet grace to Allie and the new cub. Her amber eyes shift from Allie to Sarafina, and back.
Sheeps slurps the Fianna on the nose, then trots toward Yi, his tail wagging him nearly off balance. His choke chain jangles all the way.
Allie decides it would be good to shift. So the once-Allie now changes down into the form of a wolf--or, to be more presice, jackal. To keep Sarafina in the barn, she grabs the girl's ankle within her maw, growling. You will not go. Of course, the Theurge doesn't know the wolf tongue, yet, so that would be hopeless.
Brown Man-Wolf grins and slurps Sheeps back when he is licked and then looks over to the rest of the group. He sits upright and looks towards them curiously.
Sarafina suddenly wrenches her hand away, taking a step back to glare at Allie, arms crossed. "/How/ do you know?" She demands, icily. "You showed me you can turn into some sort of mongrel dog-- but how am I one? You've not given me one fucking shred of proof that I'm /anything/ like you? How do you know? How do you know, huh?" Eyes widening as Allie changes, Sara freezes, rooted to the ground. "Oh gods... You're going to bite me to turn me into one, is that it? Whoever you bite is a werewolf?"
Three-Blades's ears prick and she gives Nevada a quiet nudge. The no-moon gnawer watches the cub's reaction, then chuffs softly.
Explain to her that if you are bitten, nothing will happen, please, Three-Blades-yuf? Explain that we know because of a kinfetch? Guides-the-Dead isn't biting hard enough to draw blood, but she keeps her stance.
Sheeps-Clothing flops on his belly, starting to crawl towards Sarafina. He tries to present no threat, not even looking like a wolf at all. He is a yellow dog, like a golden retriever, an overgrown puppy. He lays his head at her feet, peering up with a friendly, doggy expression.
Three-Blades can't believe that this one doesn't believe. Just look at the crinos there. She barks sharply, wanting the Fianna in warform to stand up. She in turn shifts up to her breed form, perhaps to try and explain the way she had been told in the past.
Guides-the-Dead growls softly in agreement with Three-Blades. Thank you.
Sarafina glances to the retriever, eyes widening. "You mean werewolves don't even half to be wolves?" She stammers. "That's not in the stories! You're some sort of coyote, that thing is a /dog/..."
Yi flexes away a little bit of strain from her shoulders as she shifts, then stands before the disbelieving cub with eyebrows raised. "You've seen all this, and you don't believe it?" she questions in an accented English, "The Garou are from all over the world. We are as various as the humans on this Earth."
Brown Man-Wolf gets up and walks towards Safrina. He quirks an eyebrow as he approaches her in his Crinos form. Then kneels down and continues to watch the group.
Sheeps backs away, giving Sarafina some space. He scratches an ear with a hind leg. His chokechain jangles.
"I've seen you are--" Sarafina protests. "I'm not a freak."
"We are not freaks," she replies calmly, her voice level as her gaze goes from the cub to Allie, to Nevada, to Chris, and then back to the cub. "Have you ever believed, that you were something more than human? Felt that there was more to life, than just going to school and talking with friends," she says, tilting her head this way and that as she gazes at the stubborn cub. "I saw a commercial on the TV here in America, for the Army. They said, 'Be All You Can Be.' You -are- Garou. If you don't think you are a werewolf, prove to me that you are not one." Her arms fold over her chest, watching expectantly. "Concentrate on changing into a wolf. Believe it, just this once. If you still do not change..." she lets her sentence trail.
Guides-the-Dead steps away from Sarafina, and then raises her chin slightly as she chuffs towards the cub in expectancy. The Silent Strider shifts up into her birthform, and contributes, "Feel like you are running in the wolf form, a sleek jackal against the sands of Egypt under the full moon, hunting with your pack, feeling...whole, feeling like a true person." Philosophical stuff is not her forte.
Yi steps back a pace, her gaze leveled at the cub with a calm, waiting air.
Sarafina 's breath grows heavy, hands clenching tightly as she tries to keep a level gaze, tries to keep her knees from buckling. "Just... Try and change?" She murmurs, suspicious and wary. "That's... all you want me to do? Then I can go home?" She stammers out, giving a stiff nod in reply. "And... you won't... hurt me?" Sara finally adds, timidly. Without waitingfor a reply, her head jerks away, gaze turning from the others-- even from the dog. With only the faintest twitch of a head in recognition of Guides-the-Dead's words, her eyes close, hands starting to tremble again despite her best attempts to keep them still. Slowly, a soft, tuneless humming comes from the girl, barely audible. Aside from that, though, she's as still as the dead-- no movement betrays her. Then, suddenly... With the slightest of jerks, Sara changes, human form slipping into the canines, her eyes fluttering open in surprise, all fours on the ground, a sudden whine rising from her throat.
Sheeps gives a congratulatory bark, tongue lolling.
Allie smiles. She doesn't break the news that Sarafina, indeed, cannot go, but she crouches next to Sarafina and scritches the jackal behind the ears. "You did it. Do you believe me, now, sister?"
Yi looks at Allie, then to the jackal before her. "Garou are Garou. You are Garou. You are Sarafina, of the Silent Striders. No matter what form you take, you are still you. Do not forget this. Being a werewolf, is just...another way of expression. If you want to think of it that way."
Sarafina looks frozen in shock. Ears perked forward, and with a stiff legged gait, she stars up at Allie with wide eyes. Finally, her jaw opens, working silently before she manages a thinly drawn out bark. Hearing Yi, the jackal's head turns, gazing to her with the same startled expression.
Sheeps bumps his muzzle at Yi's leg, then watches the Sarafina-jackal with a doggy expression of benevolence.
"Your ablities to change, are a gift from Gaia, not a curse. Now that you know what you are, young Strider..." her voice trails slightly before picking up the end of her sentence, "you cannot go back to being human." Her hand comes up before the jackal panics should the meaning of her words be interpreted wrongly. "The world, as you know it, is going to change forever. You can shift between human and wolf, and even to the form the humans speak of in stories of the half-man, half-wolf. Like Christopher there." She motions to the Fianna kneeling and reaches down with the same hand to scratch softly behind Nevada's ears, watching the jackal for her reaction.
Allie watches for the reaction of Sarafina.
Sarafina lets out another near-bark noise, and a smile whine of frustration as her canine jaws refuse to pronounce any English word or even sound. Falling quiet, again, the jackal's eyes clench shut, sitting back on her haunches as she does so, chaning to the only form Sarafina had known in her life until ten minutes ago. Hand falling back behind her, when the human form takes her over again, she's sitting out on the ground-- and not realizing her clothes have seen fit to go elsewhere. "I'm a werewolf..." She murmurs in disbelief, quietly, slowly looking up to the others.
"Here." Allie removes her shirt, and offers it to Sarafina. She's not wearing a bra, but she doesn't seem to care.
Yi smiles at Allie. "Well, she believes now." She clasps her hands behind her head and stretches upward, tilting her head back before letting go again and letting her arms drop back down loosely. "Now, to give the Fianna a name." She peers over at the brown crinos.
Yi blurs into her lupine form again, shaking out her ruff. Her ears flick and she glances at Nevada , before pouncing towards the yellow one with a growling bark.
Sheeps is in the middle of scratching an ear when he's pounced. He girrs playfully, squashed, his back legs wiggling a little. He squeezes out, and then tries to bounce at her, tail wagging.
Jay opens up the door to the barn and heads inside, stretching up his arms as his brown orbs glisten brightly in the thin shards of ambiance. Rumbling lightly to himself, he chuckles loudly as he glances over to his pack's antics.
Three-Blades rears up and bats at the yellow dog with a forepaw playfully before twisting to a side and shouldering him to knock him down.
Allie leaves the barn through one of the doors. Allie has left.
Sheeps flops on his back, batting his paws. His ears spread out, making his profile like a yellow Batman. His tail wags.
Jay laughs and heads over to them, shaking his head as his gait is confidence filled, brown orbs glistening brightly. "Hey you two"
Three-Blades stands over the yellow Batman, her head turning as she gazes at Jay. Her bark is excited and she hops over the cub before charging at Jay, ecstatic her brother is looking so well.
Jay blinks as he watches Yi charge towards him, grinning as he parts his legs, balancing himself a bit, ready to catch her if she leaps.
Sheeps turns his head, spotting Jay. He yips, and scrambles jangling to his paws, homing in on Jay like a fuzzy torpedo.
Three-Blades zooms between Jay's legs instead of leaping, skidding to a halt a few feet behind him, turning and watching Nevada charge up to the ahroun.
Jay blinks as he turns around quickly, his head at least, confused at Yi's actions, then hears the thumping of paws coming towards him. "Oh shit.." He turns his head around, just in time to get slammed by the Galliard.
Sheeps squeals and jumps up and down. Even a full-moon could deduce that he's happy to see him.
Jay mmph's loudly and reaches up, tugging Nevada's fuzzy head down to plant a huge kiss on his muzzle, rustling up his ears.
Sheeps replies in kind, slurping Jay upside the nose. He begins to sniff the Ahroun, looking for food that might be in pockets.
Three-Blades chuffs in laughter, and lopes forward with her tail head high and happy. You are well. This one is beyond glad. She lowers her muzzle and licks the ahroun with an affectionate wolfy kiss.
The sheepdog can find a snickers bar in his shirt pocket.
Jay grins and gets licked by the two Lupines, dragging Three-Blades into his arms as he hugs both. "I'm glad to see you guys too. I feel a lot better."
Three-Blades whuffs and rubs her fur against the Jay's neck as she's hugged. Her paw comes up and presses against the ahroun's face playfully.
Sheeps loves Jay and everything, but he wants that Snickers. He sniffs it out, then tries to get the wrapper off clumsily.
Jay finds his candy bar stolen, but he brought it for the lil shit anyways. Pushing the two lupines off him, he rises to his knees, dusting off the fabric of his shirt as brown bangs dip down into his opaque gaze, glistening brightly in the faint sheen of ambiance that filters through the barn.
Three-Blades sits on her haunches and cants her ears slightly to either side. Nevada said a mage healed you, a friend from the Shadow Lords. Care to tell what happened, from the receiver's view?
Sheeps sniffs over the candy bar, then eats it whole, wrapper and all. He licks his muzzle, then chocolately slurps Three-Blades.
Jay looks at Three-Blades, then over to Nevada, cuffing him slightly. "Don't tell anyone else about this ok? A lotta Garou hate the warpers...but I don't know how to explain it..he told me to take off my shirt an he laid his hands on me.. next I knew...it was like having...an explosive orgasim.. I could feel the wyrm shit in me be ripped out, then transferred into him...."
Three-Blades flicks her ears and sits on her haunches and blinks more as she gets a milk chocolatey coating to her fur. Gah!
Jay chuckles at the two, leaning back as his hands plant behind him, arching out his back. "I'm ganna go back ta' see that guy, buy him a pizza or something for helping me out.
