Forgotten Church(#1801RAJLM)
The old church is dark, dimly lit by outside light coming in through scum-encrusted windows during the day, and tomblike during the night. There is a coatroom in the back of the nave, with separate doors leading off to mens' and womens' restrooms, and two staircases, one going up to the balcony and bell-tower, and the other leading down to the basement. The double doors leading out to the street are at the back of the coatroom.
The hard wooden pews in the sanctuary are, for the most part, still intact. There are even Bibles and hymnals left in the shelves along the back of each row, although many of them look rather chewed on. The altar on a dais at the front of the church is empty, and the lectern that once stood next to it has been knocked over. Rotting red cloth hangs at the very front of the church; there might once have been a design on it, but it has long since faded or been eaten away.

Street Basement

Jay opens up the door to the basement and walks out, his eyes looking tired, his hair muffled up in a number of places, yawning.

The familiar 'bzzzt bzzzt' of a kazoo playing echoes through the church quietly, the notes an unfamiliar oriental kind of melody but with a beat. Yi sits atop a pew, piping away and enjoying the funny feeling the kazoo gives her near numb lips. She pauses briefly in the song, seeing Jay come up from the basement, and pipes a low to high questioning sound the way Nevada did before back in the barn the first time she met him informally.

Jay grumbles and rubs his hair back into place, slipping down into the pew next to Yi, leaning against her with a long sigh. His eyes droop closed, and then mummers softly. "I need a shower."

Yi puts away the green plastic kazoo and gazes at Jay with a quiet air. "You need to wake up first," she says jokingly, ruffling his hair. "What happened to you last night? You were almost as drunk as Little Tim when he came into the church."

Jay groans loudly and sighs, hugging her knee, nearly clinging to it. "Just 'ad a few beers with a friend of mine. Thats all. We..... kinda had a contest and...well... I got hammered."

Nevada's voice may be heard from outside. "Sick as a dog..what 's you story? Sick as a dog cat got your tongue.. " The doors to the church open with a creak, the young Galliard carrying a brown paper bag in. "Sick as a dog you'll be sorry... Sick as a dog the reason I'm so young!" He transfers the bag to his mouth so he can free his hands for some air guitaring, Aerosmith style.

Yi blinks as her knee is trapped in the ahroun's arms. She turns her head at the sound of a belting Galliard and smiles. "Look who's awake, Nevada," she motions with her head towards the hungover Jay.

Jay raises an eye at the voice and smacks his lips a bit, turning his head towards his little brother.

"..Mmph?" Nevada takes the bag from his mouth. "Hey, Jay. I bet you feel like shit," he says cheerily, strolling on over. He pulls a six-pack of Cokes out of the bag, setting both down on a nearby pew. "Help yaselves guys."

Jay rolls his eyes slightly as his opaque gaze glitters brightly in curiousity. "Yah.. I feel like shit... oh well." He sighs, running his fingers back through the long tendrils of his brown bangs that dip down into his face, red rimmed adnnd tired from last night. "Just..don't ask. "He seems almost.. 'ashamed' what happend with him an perrin. But, he won't even say a word.

Reaching down and pulling off two Cokes, she hands one to the ahroun. Popping the top to her own she drinks down a couple gulps before exhaling all the tingling carbon tickling at her throat. She gazes down at him and smiles, "Perhaps we should go back tonight to thank him for healing you."

Jay blinks, his eyes widening slightly and shakes his head. "No!" He says, almost too quickly. "Noooo.. thats ok... I thanked him enough last night..really."

"Why not? C'mon, we'll all parade ova dere, y'can walk off ya hangova. We go an tank the nice man, Gnawa style." Nevada's huge grin shows off sharp teeth. "Party!"

Jay waves his hands furiously, shaking his head. "No... Its ok.. Really... " he sighs heavily. "Please...just...don't ok? Its cool..just....don't.."

Yi nods in agreement with Nevada, but respects Jay's wishes anyhow. "Ok. Perhaps he will come around another time, and I can meet him and thank him then." Yi is rather oblivious to Jay's reasons, but merely shrugs and sips at her Coke.

Jay sighs heavily and slumps back into the seat, rubbing at his temples a bit. "Yah.. Ok whatever..." He says, then picks up the coke, plopping it to his head, trying to kill the building throbbing once more.

Nevada ruffles at Jay's hair playfully. "Well fine, keep the magic dude all ta yaself, den." He grins, fishing out a Coke. "So you guys?"

Jay glances to Nevada, then smooths his hair back down, standing up as he makes his way to the door. "I'm going to go home and take a shower." A COLD one. "And I'll catch up with you guys later...."

Yi stands up and follows Jay out, though she is going out for some more food and games instead. ;) She waves to the Galliard before jogging out of the church.
