Forgotten Church Basement(#1279RJLM)
This basement is only partly below ground level, and there are windows evenly spaced on the walls, right below the ceiling level. The main part of it is a large open area with a small kitchen in one corner and a large, ratty carpet in the center, covering the cement floor. There is a rather large window in the kitchen; it looks as though it might actually open onto the street. On the wall opposite the kitchen is a large bin, and there are folding tables along the wall perpendicular to it. On the other wall there are a few folding chairs, many fewer than one would expect from the number of tables.
A hallway next to the kitchen leads off to two offices and what once might have been a classroom.

Sanctuary

Rotem is sitting on the couch along the side wall, upon his lap is a wooden box, flipped open, his hands inside the box, examining something.

As much as she'd like to avoid the church around these times, Yi still has things to do there. The basement door opens with a quiet click and she maneuvers in, eyes narrowing slightly at the dented wall. The bag in her hands shifts a bit, and she walks towards the kitchenette.

Rotem lifts his head, looking up to Yi. "Morning. Sorry about yesterday. I got a little.. over-excited."

Yi pauses as she sets the bag down upon the counter, generally ignoring the cub as she opens the cupboard to restock food. Rotem gets nothing in response.

Rotem shrugs, returning to organizing whatever is in the box. The clinking of metal can be heard.

Yi finishes restocking the cupboard and gazes into the cabinet as she leans back against the table. Her eyes narrow in silent thought before she closes up the cupboard and folds up the paper bag.

Placing the folded bag under her arm, she proceeds back towards the stairs with barely a glance at the box clunking around with metal inside. Not looking at the cub, she murmurs in a bare whisper, "What happened that night, never forget it. Next time, it might be your throat that is ripped out, not your stomach."

Rotem sighs, closing the box. He sighs and places the box aside. "I'm sorry, Yi."

Yi pauses halfway up the stairs, and finally turns her gaze to the cub below. Her eyes are cool, collected. "Just don't forget your lesson. Full moons can't afford to be so careless," she replies with a turn of her gaze back towards the closed door.

Rotem shakes his head slightly. "I can't help it, I get angry, and cant control it. It just happens sometimes."

At this her eyes harden. "/Learn/ to control it, cub. Things just don't /happen./ If you don't control your anger, you'll get culled before you even get to your Rite." She turns her stiff gaze back at the cub. "Don't give me excuses, cub. Give me proof that you can stand on your own feet." She straightens in posture. "A bird learns to fly by falling first. Just make sure you know how far the ground is, and when to spread your wings." She climbs a few more steps and opens the door.

Rotem looks up towards the stairs. "How can I learn if no one will teach me? Hmm?"

The newmoon looks down at the doorway, then lifts her head. "By figuring it out through thinking," she replies. "There are some things the hawk cannot teach the sparrow." Her gaze returns to the cub. "You have time here. I'll tell one of the ahrouns to let you out." She grips the door handle, and climbs the last step out of the basement.
