Brownstone -- Basement Apt.(#3328RJ)
The walls are bare cement block and red brick on three sides. The fourth is covered in plywood painted black and covered in a variety of supposedly decorative distractions. Even with them, the basement apartment is not much to look at. It is, however, extremely functional. Despite the plumbing overhead, and the central duct grates, the space is surprisingly cozy. The Current Occupant has furnished it with a beat up leather couch, in black, a few throw rugs, and a recliner. There's no television, but a decent stereo sits erected on a cinderblock shelf, four speakers mounted around the corners of the apartment. The kitchen is small and does not appear all that well stocked. A good portion of the room is dedicated to a makeshift home gym. Free weights, a mat, and other such equipment mark it off, culminating in a suspended, full weight boxing bag.

A knock or three sounds from the door, followed by a muffled, "Hello?" The voice is distinctly female.

An answering grunt comes through the door, just as muffled, and thn Signe opens the locks. "Hey," she says gruffly, stepping out of the way for the Gnawer.

Yi dips her head, waiting a few seconds to glance around before stepping inside. "Evening, Signe-rhya." The suffix is added softly. "I thought I would ah, come pay a short visit." Her small smile manages to break through the nervous feeling around her.

Signe's in the middle of what appears to be dinner--McDonalds. She brushes a hand against the jeans of her thigh and moves back to sit in her recliner to eat. "You got some business, or something?"

Yi had a snack earlier, and isn't that hungry though the smell triggers some minor salivating, which she swallows away and moves towards the couch. "I had some things to talk about, yes," she begins, sitting on the floor rather than the couch itself. "About the sewers, is one. The moon's slim now, so I don't think I want to chance going down there with a scout group. But, I think we should try and gather who we can for a council." Her eyes travel up to gaze at the Get.

Signe takes a bite of her big mac, scowling with impatience at the news. Still, the ahroun is not stupid and she nods at the suggestion. "Yeah. Council might be a good idea. You go to the woods a lot, don't you?"

Yi arches her eyebrow with some surprise, then nods. "My pack's territory would be around Lake Arthur and the island. The others don't really come to the city." She looks pensive, then offers a short smile. "It's good exercise though, running back and forth." The small hint of a chuckle escapes the newmoon.

Signe sets the burger down and wipes at her mouth as she looks at Yi. "Pack? What pack is this?"

Yi's hand comes up to rub at the back of her neck, smoothing down some rising invisible hackles of nervousness. "Avalon. Sepdet-rhya announced us during the last moot. It's so far her, Joseph Soulcatcher, er, Two-Souls-rhya... me, Duane, an Uktena, Geoff, and Little Bear expressed interest too." She pauses, thinking of each one, finding herself to be the only mostly city-based Garou of them.

Signe's eyes widen with recognition after the Strider's mentioned. "Oh, oh yeah. Hey, that works out good. I was gonna ask you to find her. She's the only one, other than Chaser, who might know that section of the sewers. Unless you know of someone I don't."

Yi shakes her head slowly. "I've only got a copy of the map Sepdet drew for us the last time. Kaz might know someone who knows more though." Returning to the mention of Sepdet, she turns the subject a bit. "And, Sepdet-rhya asked me earlier, if there was anyone who would object to her coming to the river to do some cleaning. Something she promised someone a long time ago, I suppose." Her eyebrow lifts slightly. "I know your pack is mostly city based, so I thought I would ask you if you minded."

Rachel comes down from upstairs. Rachel has arrived.

Signe's eyes narrow faintly in a decidedly defensive, possessive way. "Cleansing the river? Well, that depends."

The sound of the lift beginning its descent from the ground floor is audible, but the scent of hot pizza actually makes its way into the basement apartment before the lifts lands and the doors slide open.

Yi rubs the back of her neck some more before lowering her hand. "I think she wanted to do something near the br--..idge." Her eyes shift warily towards the lift, and she sniffs the pizza scent with a quiet air.

Signe turns to the lift, letting the conversation slide for a moment as she scnets pizza. Her own half eaten McDonalds sits on the table beside her. Seeing who the lift carries, the Get smiles almost brightly. "Hey," she says, moving toward the kin.

Rachel steps off as the doors pull open, yes, with two pizza boxes in hand. She smiles at the big Get, then blinks at the other woman, obviously not recognizing her. "Ah, hello...?"

Yi dips her head in a cultural greeting, accompanied by her soft, midtoned, "Evening." She casts a short glance towards Signe. Seeing the Get comfortable with the unknown woman, she relaxes a little.

Signe gives Rachel a bemused second smile, saying, "I already got dinner, but I'm sure it won't go to waist." She then helps Rachel put the boxes down so she can give the kin a kiss. Only then does she see Rachel's look and turns to Yi. "Oh, this is one of Rat's children." She lets yi do her own introducing, but says for Rachel, "This is Rachel, kin to the Gaiains."

Rachel seems a bit caught off-guard by the almost off-hand nature of the introductions, but gives a little wave to the Gnawer. "Er, well, yes... Nice to meet you."

Yi offers another quick nod of her head, along with her introduction. "I'm Yi. Bone Gnawer, yeah." Her pause in introduction is hesitant again, but she returns the wave and gives the Gaian kin a warm enough smile. Until the name reaches her, and she brightens with some recognition to the name. "You're the one who Kaz borrows the van from?"

"Truck, but yes..." Rachel smiles, warmly, and shrugs a little. "I should have a little plaque engraved for it, by now, hmm?"

Signe scowls a little. "Van, what van? Oh, the truck." Signe gives Rachel a wan smile. "The Ram does get around, yes."

Rachel nudges the Ahroun in the ribs. "Its a Chevy. Not a Dodge."

Yi doesn't know which it is, as the only time she's really been in it that she can remember was when she was having arguments with a cub. Her head dips a third time, giving the kin a grateful half-bow. "It's come in pretty useful at times," she notes, wondering if her mini-council with the Get would continue on their subject path.

Rachel nods, then looks up at Signe, "I can go back upstairs, for a while....?"

Signe rubs where the kin elbowed her, and it might seem comical such a small kin making the ahroun wince. And mostly it's an affectation, but it speaks volumes about their relationship. she blinks back at Rachel. "It's a Chevy?" she says, waving a hand at the suggestion. "You can stay. It's cool, right Yi? You don't mind."

Yi nods, not having qualms if the Get finds the kin welcome. "No problem," she replies. "So... I was saying that.. Sepdet might want to do some cleaning around the river. She promised a spirit, I think, and wanted to know if the city Garou would have problems with it. I think she wanted to concetrate around the river or the bridge."

Signe scratches at the side of her cheek, thoughtfully. "Well, as long as she's willing to obey the rules, I got no problem with it. Let me tell my pack. and have her come see me. We can lend some help if she needs it."

Yi nods, making mental notes to deliver that to Sepdet. "Where does your pack claim... so I could be clear on that?" A curious eyebrow rises in inquiry at the Get.

"The Marina," Signe answers, "The Wharf, near the river's edge. We're starting patrols actually /on/ the water, once we get the launch's engine working. And we can be found around here, and around the Park, too. though the Park belongs to the Sept."

Yi mms softly and files that away too into the recesses of her mind. "When should we gather for the council? I think at first, we should find some who can help make talens. Can't see anything down there, so maybe there is a spirit or two who would be willing to help. I'll have to find Elan-rhya and ask him about Rat.

Signe purses her lips. "I can talk to our Mule. He can probably make some. As for council, the sooner the better. Tomorrow, if we can."

Rachel moves over towards a chair, sneaking a piece of the pizza off with her, as she goes by.

Yi nods. "I can spread word about that. Tomorrow night, we can have the first meeting. It's sort of short notice, but we can have more while the moon is fattening up." Her eye turns pizza-wards briefly before she takes her attention back to Signe.

Rachel waves a hand towards the Gnawer. "Eat, eat. One whole one's pretty much for her, but /I/ definitely can't eat a whole one by myself."

Signe asks Rach softly, "You want a beer, hon?" Then, she turns the question to Yi. "Want some pizza and beer?" The Get moves to the fridge to fetch the beer before either answers. Apparently she wants one whether they do or not. "Well, you think people will show for this meeting?"

Rachel inserts a comment, "Feed them, and they will come."

Yi runs a hand through her hair, turning her eyes to follow the Get as she moves towards the fridge. "Some might." She chuckles at Rachel's comment. "That's true too." Signe's mention of beer causes the smaller Gnawer to purse her lips together with thought.

Signe brings back three bottles, putting one in front of Rachel, opening one for herself, and setting one in front of the Gnawer, in case she wants it. The Get doesn't seem to care whther she does or not, once it's given. she settles on the couch, half beside and half behind Rachel, taking a drink from her own bottle.

Rachel leans against the Ahroun, partly. "Seriously. Offer, like, a pizza and beer buffet. Throw in a few naked woman, and I bet those two big guys would show up in hurry, hmm?"

Yi should be used to this constant beer thing by now, but the puzzlement at the alcoholic drink is there. Then, with a shrug, she takes the bottle into hand, eyes the cap for a few moments, and listens as it pops off without a hitch. The grin is partly hidden behind the sip she takes, followed by a quick swallow and soft cough. "Big guys?" she glances quizzically to the kin.

Rachel nods. "Kyle and Owen."

Signe frowns, and although it's clear she thiks this is a good idea, she mutters roughly, "I'm not paying for that party."

Yi nods with an 'oh' and chuckles, taking another quick swig of her beverage. She glances at the label of the drink. "Well, we'll just snag whoever we can find, and whoever wants to come. Those that don't make it, will still have another time to set the meeting up. The question is, are there any other plans that others are making?" She licks her lips. "Don't want to set up conflict."

Rachel lays a hand on the Get's arm. "I will. Least I can do...." She pauses, then grins, "Well, not the naked women part. And I most certainly am /not/ going to do it myself."

Signe eyes Rachel. "You sure?" She sounds like she's not. To Yi, she shakes her head, "I don't know of any."

Rachel frowns, "Sure about which? Paying, or not dancing naked?"

Yi swallows another few gulps of the beer and blinks a few times as it goes down before shaking her head. "Don't know of any either. We'll see though, we'll see." Her eyes slip towards Rachel and she hides a chuckle.

Signe smirks at Rachel, the two of them sharing an affectionate game of poke and jibe. And, perhaps disconcerting to the Gnawer, who no doubt has neever seen the Get so domestic, she gies Rachel a more affectionate kiss as well.

Yi scratches a little at her chin, blinking a few times as she sees Signe kiss Rachel. It's disturbing, but maybe the alcohol, even at this small amount, is soothing to the Gnawer's thoughts and smoothes everything over some. With a tip of the bottle, she finishes the last of the beer and sets the bottle down quietly, pondering it, if there was something to ponder about. "If we can gain control of the sewers..." she murmurs softly, more to herself, "then it could be a useful travel route under the city. Wouldn't have to worry too much about people poking in..."

Signe looks at Yi as if she stated the obvious, and she nods thusly. "Yeah, that's the point. But it's gonna take months of work, I think."

Yi nods, slowly rising to her feet smoothly. Stooping down to pick up the beer bottle and the cap, she looks at them a few more times before giving the Get and kin a half-bow. "Alright. I'll go spread some news then, about the meeting." She lifts the empty bottle to the Jarl and slips the cap into her fleece pocket. "Thanks for the drink," she adds, heading towards the lift.

Rachel keeps her mouth shut, at this point, not really knowing what the pair of Garou are talking about.

"Sure," signe says quietly, and perhaps she has an idea looking at the bottle, too. But she doesn't say anything.

Yi gives the pair one last wave, and presses the button on the lift to head up and out.
