Forgotten Church Basement(#1279RJLM)
This basement is only partly below ground level, and there are windows evenly spaced on the walls, right below the ceiling level. The main part of it is a large open area with a small kitchen in one corner and a large, ratty carpet in the center, covering the cement floor. There is a rather large window in the kitchen; it looks as though it might actually open onto the street. On the wall opposite the kitchen is a large bin, and there are folding tables along the wall perpendicular to it. On the other wall there are a few folding chairs, many fewer than one would expect from the number of tables.
A hallway next to the kitchen leads off to two offices and what once might have been a classroom.

Sanctuary

Nevada is still in Glabro. He sits in the corner of the room, his usual place these past few days, leaned back, his long, muscular legs stretched in front of him. His jeans are bursting at the seams, unfit for a shape like this one. He's hairy, muscular, with a sloping, frowning brow and a strong, set jaw. He has a small circle of a mirror in his tremendous hands, like a piece broken from a compact, and he is looking in it, intensely, as if at any moment he'd vanish into the Umbra. But he doesn't, seeming to be examining his face, as if something was on it.

Yi enters from the top of the stairs, probably searching for that stubborn little cub Rotem to give him another lecture about Garou ways. No surprise she doesn't find him in the main center of the basement, but she does spot a different giant. Nevada. "Hello Nevada," she greets quietly, coming down the stairs with a little tired air about her. "No cubs in the Umbra now," she chuckles, walking over, her head tilted curiously. "What are you looking for? Bug on your face?"

"Mirror's not big 'nough," Nevada murmurs, not looking up. "Is there anything on there?" he asks.

Yi glances at the mirror, then circles to have a look at Nevada's almost furry face. Her eyebrow arches slightly, then she shakes her head. "I don't see anything. Why?"

Nevada just grunts. For a while he is quiet. "So you burned the body."

Yi nods slowly, slipping down onto the floor to gaze up at the glabro-ized cub. "His ashes I placed in a jar. I thought you might want them." She looks down more towards his feet. "I'm so sorry, Nevada. It is my fault your friend was killed. If I hadn't taken Rotem here, he wouldn't have..."

"You were just doing your job," Nevada murmurs in his rumbling Glabro voice. He takes it with an eloquent shrug, not meeting Yi's gaze. "What were you supposed to do with a cub."

Yi shakes her head, still. "I suppose. But I was... overeager. Should have planned it better, had others to help, not do it alone." Her voice fades to even softer. "If you still want, Kyle's ashes.. I do have them. I wouldn't leave him just burned up and away. That would have been disgracing his death. I was wondering if you wanted to give him a burial, or not." She glances up, chewing her lip slightly.

No answer, for a minute. "He was just a human," Nevada finally says.

"And we are human too," Yi replies, a little confused by Nevada's statement. "I'm sorry of your loss, but you shouldn't speak like that about him either. Just a human. He was more than human. He was your friend." Her brow furrows slightly, wondering if maybe this is Nevada's way of coping.

"No. We're Garou." Nevada fingers the small circle of glass. "We have a job to do. And laws to follow. Fuck, I've broken enough already. Yi, don't be sorry. What happened, happened. What's the new cub's name."

Yi exhales slowly, thinking of the cub that frayed even /her/ nerves. "Rotem. No cubname yet, but I could promise you he must've been born when Luna was drunk." She shakes her head slightly. "Has..." she pauses, thinking. "Has Elan-rhya told you when you will be Rited? You seem ready for it...in my opinion."

"Rotem." Nevada will remember that name. "No, Elan-rhya has said nothing. I haven't talked to him."

Yi rubs the back of her neck, her arms just lightly streaked with some pink lines that one would think came from scratches. "Ok, well do you think you are ready?" She gazes at the galliard, curious as to his opinion.

Nevada nods his head. "Yeah. I want to be Cliath. Want to fight."

Yi exhales sharply, the mere phrase 'want to fight' bringing memories of Rotem's eagerness back. "Ok... I'll speak with Elan-rhya about it. Anything you want him to know?"

((Nevada pages to the room: Woo, gotta scram. :) Nev is deathly_afraid of Elan and probably wouldn't have much to say to him, umm, say Nev went for a walk or something :) ))
