Forgotten Church Basement(#1279RJLM)
This basement is only partly below ground level, and there are windows evenly spaced on the walls, right below the ceiling level. The main part of it is a large open area with a small kitchen in one corner and a large, ratty carpet in the center, covering the cement floor. There is a rather large window in the kitchen; it looks as though it might actually open onto the street. On the wall opposite the kitchen is a large bin, and there are folding tables along the wall perpendicular to it. On the other wall there are a few folding chairs, many fewer than one would expect from the number of tables.
A hallway next to the kitchen leads off to two offices and what once might have been a classroom.
Obvious exits:
Sanctuary

Yi was in the basement just a few minutes ago, speaking with Nevada. It was a good thing the galliard cub hadn't seen Rotem alone in the basement. She comes back in though, with a bag full of some fruit, canned foods, and some other good stuff. The lupus emerging from the basement's backrooms catches her eye as she proceeds towards the kitchen.

Rotem's ears perk forwards as he moves towards Yi, sniffing the air. He shifts up to homid once he reaches the kitchenette. After he shakes his head slightly, and arches his back, he exhales. "Ahh, thats better", after looking down at himself he chuckles and continues, "Why don't you end up naked after you shift? I mean, its no fair, I want some free looks to!"

Yi calmly resumes placing the bought groceries into the cupboards, stacking cans and leaving the fruit out in bags to be eaten later. "Your clothes we will take care of later. If you don't want to end up naked all the time, then just don't shift. Or stay in lupus."

Junior comes down the stairs, hands stuffed in his pockets. "Heya."

Rotem waves to Junior, although he is very much naked at the moment. "I like lupus, but could you ask Guido to not try and bite my head off next time?" he chuckles at this. "Although I guess he got mad when I kept biting his back and clawing at him."

Junior shakes his head. "Getting Guido made at you? Bad idea..."

Yi glances over at the greeter, giving a short nod. "Hello J-r." She closes up the cupboard, quietly trying not to look at Rotem for now. "You met Banecruncher I see." She chuckles, wondering how the lupus ahroun took to the cub of his auspice.

Rotem says "Yeah, we met, I asked him to teach me how to fight in lupus, get my legs under me, if you know what I mean. Was fun actually, till he got my neck in his jaws."

Junior snickers. "That's what you're supposed t' avoid."

Yi smirks, still not looking at Rotem. "So. Did you have any lesson plans today, Junior? Or are you just.. 'winging' it."

Junior shrugs. "Winging it, mostly."

Rotem grabs a fruit and hops up to sit on the counter, still quite naked, although not really careing anymore. He bites into the apple and looks over to Junior and Yi, "Whats on my plan for today?"

Yi shrugs, back turned to the cub. "Don't know. Jr. is your auspice. What did you have in mind?" She asks both Gnawers, busying herself with wiping off the countertops with a spare paper towel.

Junior shrugs. "Thought I might start him on fighting training. That I can teach pretty well, at least."

Rotem shrugs, he uses the tone of a circus anouncer, "Step right up! Choose a form, kick my ass!" he chuckles at this now and shakes his head.

Yi suddenly grabs Rotem's arm, the one holding the apple. Wrapping his arm over her shoulder, she bodily pulls him off the countertop and right over her head, tossing him down with a quick throw.

Junior hmms. "On second thought, maybe I'll let YOU teach him fighting. And maybe you can show me how t' do that?"

Rotem looks up from the floor, his voice weaker now. "Hey, you didn't buy a ticket!"

"Put on some clothes," Yi replies, turning back to pull out some disinfectant from the bag as well and spraying the countertop with it. "You're still better off teaching him first, JR. I've got a short patrol of the park in a few minutes."

Junior nods. "I'll start him on the basics, then. But I'm more a brawler than anything fancy. If you can teach both of us that, I'd appreciate it."

Rotem hobbles back up. "I just wanna get out of this basement. I don't care what it is I have to learn, lets just get it over with."

Yi glances over at Junior and nods. "I could try. Not nearly the level Sifu is. Fist fighting knowledge is a must, I think. You fullmoons, always stepping in claws blazing." She grins, then arches at eyebrow at Rotem. "You get out when your teachers deem you safe to be let out. Yes, like prison, but at least you're learning something instead of rotting away in a jail." She motions for the cub to retrieve his clothes before looking at Junior. "We can start when you put on some clothes, Rotem."

Junior chuckles. "Least he's not freaked out, the way some get."

Rotem chuckles, "You should have been here before, Junior". He gets up and walks out of the room. From the back can be heard, "I still want that silver rocket launcher we talked about!"

Yi shakes her head. "Silver rocket launcher..." She facepalms, then wipes off the counter and deposits the trash before moving over to a wall in the basement's mainroom and leaning against it. "I'd like to see how brawling works." She quirks her lip up in a wry smile.

Junior chuckles. "Don't laugh. I'd settle for a regular rocket launcher, myself. Whatever works, you know? And having the nasties being blown to hell without them getting their claws, fangs, or whatever else on you sounds like a great way to fight to me."

Junior grins. "Still....sometimes you just have to do it the old-fashioned way." He moves to stand before Rotem, going into a defensive position. "Ready to try a bit of fighting?"

Rotem walks back into the room, dressed. "This is what I told the new moon!" he says to Junior, pointing to Yi as he does so. "But does she listen? Noooo, I mean, come on, guns, bombs, whatever the heck it takes." He looks to Junior, and instead of replying lift a leg quickly, hopefully landing one in Junior's groin. Oh yeah, this one fights dirty.

Junior grins....and catches the leg, and _heaves_ up to throw Rotem back on his ass. "Don't try to teach grandma to suck eggs. That's an old one."

Yi chuckles, nodding as the move came. Though she's never heard that slang phrase before, she commits it to memory, along with intonation. "Try again, Rotem."? Rotem pages to the room: You see in Israel, there is a mandatory draft. Although I haven't been drafted yet, for years I have had to take various military 'courses' including hand 2 hand combat.

Rotem grins, "Come on Junior, come and get me!" he smirks and quirks a finger at him.

Junior smiles slowly...and stalks towards the new cub. "Why, sure...." He stays in a defensive stance as he moves, though...."Get you, huh?"

Yi glances at Junior, spectator as she is for the moment. "Go get 'im JR."

Rotem says "Yeah, come on, get me. He grins, backing up from JR slightly. "That is, unless your.. afraid.""

Yi almost facepalms again, but she waits for Junior's move. Go for groin. Check. Psyche out the other guy. Check. Next?

Junior snorts softly. "First...don't react to what your enemy wants you to do. Anybody who can't stand a little namecalling deserves what they get." He keeps a nice steady pace towards the cub....slow, slow....then does a quick dash forward - slamming a foot not high, but much lower, towards the shin - too low for an easy grab.

Rotem dives for Juniors legs, arms wrapping around them. Classic two leg take down. The leg impacts on Rotem's face, bringing a grunt from him. Nonetheless his momentum should bring Junior crashing down with him.

Yi nods as Rotem goes for the legs, but figures Junior can get out of this one fast. "Well... have to run. Play hard, you two." She laughs, then jogs up the stairs and heads out of the basement to return later.
