Forgotten Church(#1801RAJLM)
The old church is dark, dimly lit by outside light coming in through scum-encrusted windows during the day, and tomblike during the night. There is a coatroom in the back of the nave, with separate doors leading off to mens' and womens' restrooms, and two staircases, one going up to the balcony and bell-tower, and the other leading down to the basement. The double doors leading out to the street are at the back of the coatroom. The hard wooden pews in the sanctuary are, for the most part, still intact. There are even Bibles and hymnals left in the shelves along the back of each row, although many of them look rather chewed on. The altar on a dais at the front of the church is empty, and the lectern that once stood next to it has been knocked over. Rotting red cloth hangs at the very front of the church; there might once have been a design on it, but it has long since faded or been eaten away.

Yi opens up the church doors and closes them behind her, taking off the sweater she has on.

Rotem whistles from one of the church pews. "Hey there. Stripping?" he asks jokingly, smirking.

Yi snorts quietly, shifting to glabro as she does. "No," she replies. Her voice seems very grated, not just because of the near-man form. Like she has a sore throat. Or a fire-burned one. She moves down to the second pew and sits to inspect the slash on her shoulder.

Rotem sighs and moves over towards Yi. "Shit." he says quietly, "What happened?" he asks as he approaches her.

Yi sees the blood has stopped flowing already, and nods with some satisfaction before looking up at Rotem. "Sewerfight," she answers. "Problems with being scout in the front line."

Rotem sighs and moves behind the pew, looking over her injuries. "W..what did you fight?"

Yi just has a slash on her shoulder, and looks a little dirty. Well, she probably smells like sewer too. "Black tentacles."

Rotem looks over the wound, shaking his head. "Stay here." He says and walks down to the basement.

Rotem returns after a few minutes with two towels and a piece of cloth.

Yi gazes over as the ahroun returns with the towels and cloth. "Don't need it," she says. "It'll just make the blood flow again." Given the slash is not very deep, it will be gone overnight. "Lungs are worse," she adds a little softer.

Long distance to the room: Yi also smells a bit smoky too.

Rotem arches his eyebrow. "What happened?" He asks, looking down like a mother at her dirt covered son.

Yi arches a brow at Rotem. "Told you, sewer fight," she answers again, looking at him oddly. "Fought tentacles, came out with cuts and burned lungs. One small step for Gaia."

Rotem shakes his head. "How'd you burn the lungs?" he asks, clarifying for her.

"Too close to fire," Yi explains. "Sepdet set sewer walls on fire, and I breathed. Hot air."

Rotem rolls his eyes. "Okay, stay here." he says, shaking his head still. "I'll be back quickly." He pushes on the doors and steps outside, moving down the steps and disappearing.

Yi shrugs, and watches the cub disappear with some mild curiosity.

Rotem returns some time later carrying a plastic bag in one hand various items inside it, he seems to be a little out of breath.

Yi furrows her brow at the cub, then looks at the plastic bag curiously.

Rotem sets the plastic bag down on the pew next to her, and removes the first jar, a half empty jar of honey. "Here, start with this. Will make your throat feel a little better." he offers the jar to her.

Yi peers at the jar and takes it, though she doesn't do anything with it. "Throat's just dry, not burned. I'm not filling lungs with honey," she quirks her lip in a wry smile.

Rotem glares at Yi. "You drink that, and I'm going to cook you some chicken soup." he states flatly, "I'm not going to argue with you on this." he smirks, immitating his mother.

Yi snorts quietly, and lifts the honey jar up to look at it. "There's a gift that uses this," she says gratingly, though it seems to get better as she continues, "Uses honey scent to attract spirits that like it." She glances at Rotem. "Tribe gift."

Rotem nods and slips in to sit by Yi, "So, teach me." he says, motioning to the honey. "Sounds cool." He pauses for a second, "No owls, right?"

Yi sets the jar down, and shakes her head. "No owls," she replies. "Lots of bugs, rats. Not going to teach you now, though. I'm tired." She looks at her shoulder again. "But maybe something else. What do you need to know?" She gazes at the cub like she expects him to have his list.

Rotem shrugs softly. "Nothing to bother with now. Rest." he says softly. "I only need to cover the forms, ahroun stuff, and gifts. Then I'm done."

Yi leans against the pew, lifting her legs to sit cross legged on it. "And who are you going to get to teach you? Junior? Banecruncher?"

Rotem shrugs softly. "Junior I guess, if I can find them."

Yi nods, accepting the answer with some satisfaction. "One rule, I didn't remember to tell you, of the sept here. No cubs alone on the caern ground," she says to him. "I think bawn is ok. Surrounding forest, fine. But be wary, because packs claim the open lands."

Rotem lays his head on the edge of the pew. "Okay, I'll be careful."

Yi nods, and then decides to lay down on the pew for awhile, looking up at the rafters. "How was dinner?" she queries, after a little bit of silence.

Rotem shrugs softly, laying down as well, resting his head next to Yi's. "Mmm, T-bone." he purrs softly.

Yi after awhile sits back up, and stands with a short dust of her clothes. "I'm going to clean up some. Bloody stink," she growls slightly, before picking up her sweater and shifting down. "See ya later, Rotem."

Rotem waves to Yi and nods. "I'll bring you the soup tommorow." He smiles for a moment before laying back down.
