Forgotten Church(#1801RAJLM)
The old church is dark, dimly lit by outside light coming in through scum-encrusted windows during the day, and tomblike during the night. There is a coatroom in the back of the nave, with separate doors leading off to mens' and womens' restrooms, and two staircases, one going up to the balcony and bell-tower, and the other leading down to the basement. The double doors leading out to the street are at the back of the coatroom.
The hard wooden pews in the sanctuary are, for the most part, still intact. There are even Bibles and hymnals left in the shelves along the back of each row, although many of them look rather chewed on. The altar on a dais at the front of the church is empty, and the lectern that once stood next to it has been knocked over. Rotting red cloth hangs at the very front of the church; there might once have been a design on it, but it has long since faded or been eaten away.

Rotem quirks an eyebrow, looking down at Kaz. He shakes his head and descides to let the cliath sleep. She must be tired.

Kaz is currently drooling into a pew, asleep on her stomach. There's sap in her hair.

Jarred enters quietly, looking around him.

Rotem waves to Jarred silently, then brings a finger to his lips in the international 'shhh' sign.

Yi is up at the balcony, silent in meditation. Doesn't mean she doesn't hear the commotion downstairs.

Kaz continues to sleep. The drool is making a small puddle on the cushion.

Jarred walks over to Kaz silently, looking at her hair. "Pine Sap?"

Rotem looks to Jarred, lifting his shoulders then dropping them. "Dunno." he says quietly.

Yi slits her eyes open, and gradually gets used to the lighting again before turning her head to see who is down below.

Kaz blinks once or twice. Apparently, the noise is getting to her.

Rotem lifts the rather large weapon in his hands. "Want me to wake her up?" he asks, looking to Jarred with a smirk.

Jarred cocks his head and raises a wagging finger silently.

Kaz says, into the cushion, "Too late."

Rotem shrugs and lets the gun hang from the shoulderstrap. "Morning Kazzie." Rotem sits down on the very edge of the pew. "What's in your hair?"

Jarred says "It's pine sap. I can smell it."

Kaz finally sits up, in one abrupt movement. "I met a pine tree a couple days ago. What's so weird about that?"

Jarred smiles. "Ahh..and you made love.. how romantic...

Kaz says, with a snort, "I din' like it /that/ much..."

Jarred grins.

Rotem chuckles softly, "Yeah, she doesn't do that on the first date." he looks back to Kaz, "You going to see it again, or was it just a one night fling?"

Jarred says "Was he firmly rooted in reality?"

Rotem glances at Jarred. "He was, until she /rocked his world/." Another chuckle escapes Rotem's lips.

Kaz just shakes her head, chuckling. "You guys got dirty minds." Glancing at Jarred, she adds, "It was a knotty situation. Anyways, I was just takin' a couple days t'think, in the woods."

"That was bad," Yi comments quietly from the balcony. "Evening, Kaz," she also calls down.

Rotem glances up at Yi, "Oh, heya hon, G'morning." He comments, then looks back to Kaz, the water gun, nay, cannon, is offered over to her. "I got the idea from you. S'water, not bleach." he adds, pushing it towards her.

Kaz shakes her head. "Nah. Thanks. I don' spritz b'fore breakfast."

Yi gazes out towards the night sky and stands up slowly. "From Canton, not a Hun," Yi states to Rotem. "And I wasn't sleeping." She glances down towards Jarred. "Hey Jarred."

Rotem still pushes the gun towards her. "Come on, take a look. Try 'er out. S'better then that little thing you carry around." Rotem seems insistant on this, smilling as he speaks, "I got it M'self."

Jarred waves to Yi. "Hey you..."

Kaz calls upwards, "Heya," and then shrugs and takes the gun. Spritzing towards the door, she observes, "Damn strong, this thing is..."

Yi comes down the steps and hops the last few, landing lightly. "Showing off your new toy, Rotem," she says with a smirk.

Rotem nods in agreement with Kaz, "Yeah, I love that baby. Fill 'er up and let 'er rip on just about anything." Rotem turns to look at Yi, "Yeah, S'cool. Oh, what ever happened to that honey thing?"

Kaz puts it down carefully next to her, and heads over to her jacket, which is on another pew.

"What honey thing?" queries the Canto-Gnawer.

Rotem looks over towards Yi. "Don't you remember, the tribal honey gift thingie you said You could teach me."

Max slips in through the church's main doors and takes a moment to strike a pose in her baggy overalls and sweatshirt, a pair of dark glasses hiding her gaze. She smirks, hands settling on her hips as she takes in those present. "Yo. Zee. We gonna break some balls tonight or what?"

"I figure the sooner you teach it to me, the sooner I can start practicing it at Jarred's place." The cub smirks, wondering if Jarred will object.

Yi nods towards Max. "Yo, Max," she greets the other ragabash before answering Rotem. "That'll come after you rite."

Jarred's facial expression indicates that he would.

Kaz says, blankly, "Jarred's place?" before brightening as Max arrives. "Yo, yeah, soon!"

Max's gaze flickers from Kaz to Yi and she puckers a greeting at Yi, grinning afterward. The exchange between Jarred and Rotem drags her attention over the top of her sunglasses from Rotem to Jarred, her brows raising.

Rotem turns as he sees max, "Maxie!" he calls out smilling happilly. "Where /have/ you been?!"

Kaz's glance slides to Jarred, questioningly.

"Rotem's been staying with Jarred. Elan-approved," Yi explains with the vaguest details.

Max looks back to Rotem with a faint smirk. "He give good Shadow, Tantrum?"

Rotem arches an eyebrow, looking to Max, "Huh?" He asks, not understanding the question. "I haven't even been in the Shadow with him yet. I haven't even gone there since the incident."

Kaz says, "Oh, huh. Well, fuck, good place f'crash space, I guess."

Max purses her lips but doesn't follow up on the innuendo. Hey, she doesn't even explain when it's /asked/ for. She looks back to Yi, "Wazzup, chica?"

Rotem glances over at Kaz, "No offence Kaz, but I needed someplace to unwind. Someplace /not/ here."

Kaz shrugs. "Hey, the fuck do I care? I'm the one as sprung you in the first place."

Rotem nods to Kaz, "Yeah, and I been meaning to thank you for that."

Max casts an above-the-glasses look at Rotem that suggests he's lost his marbles. "Yeah. Nothin' like gettin' 'way from Family to make ya feel all homey 'n shit."

Yi rolls a shoulder in a shrug. "Not much. Hey, have you seen Bernie lately?" She glances at Max and Kaz.

Max looks to Yi. "Yeah. Saw'er couple days 'go at her place."

Rotem looks back to Max. "You wouldn't understand, I needed to unwind where people weren't always checking me out t'see if I'm supposed to live or not."

Yi blinks a few times and then nods to Max. "Alright thanks. Should go look for her at the flat, then." She eyes Rotem some at his words.

Kaz seems to find Rotem's words perfectly natural.

Max purses her lips as she glances back to Rotem and replies flatly. "Y'ain't gonna 'scape bein' a puppy, dude. An' I don't get the feelin' you got any perception o'what I unnerstand an' don't."

Rotem rolls his eyes and simply replies to Max. "You're right. Why would I ever want a break from /this/." He says, not sounding sarcastic, although he very well may be. He turns back to Kaz, "So Kazzie, what are you up to?"

Yi shakes her head, though a thought does come to mind. She keeps it quiet for now though.

Kaz shrugs. "I gotta go patrol soon. Anyways, what's been goin' on around here?"

Rotem shrugs. "Been playin' with head's, and trying to get people to train me. S'not been easy." Rotem shakes his head at this. "No one has the time anymore."

Max's brows arch. "Yeah. An' I love you too." She looks to Kaz. "I'm goin' over to check on that kid on Birch." Turning, Max heads back out.

Kaz calls, "Check. Be there in a bit -- don' push 'em yet?" Looking back to Rotem, she shrugs. "Well, /I'm/ back, anyways."

Rotem nods, "I was looking for you down at the Rialto yesterday. John said you weren't in." a quick sigh escapes before Rotem catches himself.

Yi leans against the doorframe, giving Max a short nod as she leaves.

Kaz shrugs. "Patrollin'. So whaddya mean, playin' with heads?"

Jarred follows Max out.

Rotem motions to the gun. "Well I got that f'free." He pauses and thinks, "Got beer without ID too."

Kaz tilts her head, and blinks. "/Oh/. Th' Persuasion thing?"

Rotem snickers and nods. "So what tribe was obi-wan from?" He asks with a grin.

Yi gives a short sigh. "Don't go over using the gift, Rotem."

Kaz snorts softly. "Yuh-huh. Stargazers, clearly." Glancing out the door, she sighs. "Anyway, I oughta get outta here. I'll catch you guys later, ok?"

Rotem glances over at Yi, "Julie t-told me to practice it, lots. I still only get it to work once in a blue moon." He looks over to Kaz, "Yeah, See ya."

Yi waves at Kaz-departing. "Stargazers indeed. Too bad my Sifu didn't have a lightsaber. See ya round Kaz."

Kaz grabs her coat on the way out. "Jus' don' make, like, morons suspicious, is all she means."

Rotem considers star wars for a moment, still looking to Yi. "You know m-makes sense. That Vader dude? That was all like, deformed? He's a fomor, right?"

Yi considers it. "Maybe. But we can fall to the dark side without the help of banes on our heads," she notes quietly. She gives the watergun a short glance. "You're going to carry that around with you everywhere you go?"

Rotem nods softly. "S'not t-that heavy Y'know?" he hefts it up with the new shoulder strap he made, his hands free. "See?"

Yi shakes her head. "I mean, if you walk around with that, people are going to stare at you. Moreso than they do already."

Rotem shrugs, "Let 'em stare." he raises his voice to a childlike tone, "I'm just a little kid playing with my birthday present."

Nargalsius pages to Rotem and Yi: There is the sound of glass breaking from downstairs, perhaps a window shattering. It is soon followed by voices, mostly hushed but definitely more than one.

Yi shrugs. "A six foot kid with a watercannon. Right. And I thought the goal was not to be noticed." She eyes the cub before the shattering gets her attention. Quickly, she holds up a hand for silence. Then, motions for the cub to follow and makes towards the basement stairs.

Rotem rises up as he hears the noise, glancing at the basement door. Rotem follows behind Yi, the only sound is a few soft 'shh' sounds from the pump of the water gun.

Once they get to the top of the stairwell, Yi pauses beside the doorway, motioning Rotem to the other side of the opening. Her head pokes around, to listen for the voices and what they might be saying.

Rotem places the water gun down on the floor as quietly as he can, then hugs the wall like in all the police movies. He doesn't make a sound, although he does pull a switchblade from his back pocket, offering it to Yi.

Yi refuses the switchblade, and steals down the stairs towards the basement. Her steps are almost soundless as she hugs the wall. At the door, she pauses and waits some more, listening.

Rotem follows with Yi, the switchblade held tightly in his right hand as he waits for her to open the door.

Yi steals back up the stairs, and motions to Rotem for his ear. To him, she whispers, "Do you have the flashlight around?"

Rotem nods and stashes the switchblade away. He turns and scampers up the stairs quickly, moving over to grab his lighting unit from under the third pew. The batteries are picked up as well, and he moves back over towards Yi. He lifts it up slightly, still not turned on.

Yi nods, and motions for Rotem to follow. Her hand grips the doorknob, turns it slowly, and she opens the door a crack.

Rotem remains behind Yi, if there is one thing he's learned, it is 'let the cliath lead'.

Forgotten Church Basement(#1279RJLM)
This basement is only partly below ground level, and there are windows evenly spaced on the walls, right below the ceiling level. The main part of it is a large open area with a small kitchen in one corner and a large, ratty carpet in the center, covering the cement floor. There is a rather large window in the kitchen; it looks as though it might actually open onto the street. On the wall opposite the kitchen is a large bin, and there are folding tables along the wall perpendicular to it. On the other wall there are a few folding chairs, many fewer than one would expect from the number of tables.
A hallway next to the kitchen leads off to two offices and what once might have been a classroom.

Sanctuary

There are ten guys down here, mostly in jeans, torn up shirts, bandanas, couldn't obviously be any more gang members unless there was a sign on them. One boy, wears a threadbare ski cap, it looking at the makeshift bed. "Holy christ! Look at that. Some folks be stayin' here. Thought this place was haunted." Another answers, "Prolly just a damn bum. Look at this place. I mean, shit. You sure you wanna use this place?"

Yi growls, indignantly. "Respect the territory of another," she snarls and kicks open the door. "Hit the lights, Rotem!"

Rotem clicks the wire onto the battery, as the three arrays of LED lights turn on, flooding the room with the, now familiar, bright blaze of light. He puts the unit down, looking away from the glare.

"Holy jesus!" dominates, but there are several other curses as well as folks scatter to cover their eyes. The one with the ski cap tries to recover, looking forward with a hand before his face to cover his eyes. "Who the fuck?"

Glancing at Rotem, Yi looks back at the ten guys. "Didn't anyone teach you to read? There's a sign out there. Says, 'Beware of Dog'." Her eyes narrow under the light as she stands at the bottom of the basement steps, Rotem to one side of her.

Rotem grins, obviously happy. "Now you better leave before I see her loose on you, she's crrrrazy." Rotem chuckles, "And its five to one, that isn't fair." Rotem doesn't add the 'to you', although his tone does hint at it.

The ski capped one and another wearing a bandana as a skullcap back up and withdraw a handgun each. Some of the others pull out knives. Many of them can be seen to swallow nervously. "No way man," the bandana'd one say with a think Spanish accent. "This place is ours now. Both you just met mala suerte."

Yi narrows her eyes to slits, judging the skicapped one with the handgun. She replies in kind, but in Cantonese. Then with a shot of her foot out, she kicks the array battery off its wiring, sending the room back into darkness before jumping off the stairs and roaring, she shifts to glabro. One fist aims towards the skicapped's Adam's apple. Her other arm serves to grab the arm holding the gun.

You have shifted to Glabro form.

Rotem shifts up to glabro as well, having luckly picked to go after the bandana'ed henchman. He moves quickly towards him, while no where near as gracefully as Yi, he grabs for the arm with the gun, and attempts to throw the man by it.

Action transpires. Room goes dark. Yet as soon as Yi makes a motion to kick the lamp, guns are ready, and as darkness ensues, it is broken by the gunflash as bullet's ring. The others, mostly armed with switchblades and the like, mill forward at first and, in fact, one of them manages to intercept Yi, blocking the way to the skicapped one. Rotem takes a shot to the chest as he grabs his target while Yi is missed.

Yi growls as she is intercepted, and punches out with her now enlarged arms in a series of strikes to solar plexus and head of the man before her. She's set her mental sights on the skicapped one. Something inside her fumes, maybe memories of gangs in the East.

Rotem stumbles back slightly from the GSW, then jumps bodily onto the shooter, he attempts to grab him and slam his head against the cement flooring of the basement.

Bang bang bang. Some guy's head is being struck upon the floor repeatedly. Two of his cronies jump forward to help. The gun scatters happenstance right at one's foot, and he picks it up as the other tries, in vain, to pull the Glabro Rotem off. Yi is actually almost being pressed by the one that's on her, but a good kick to the head after some feints and he's down. Around her is a lot of scuffling as folks move around, one guy actually screaming in some semblence of of pure fear. Another, however, manages a flashlight and shines it towards Yi. "Guys? Guys?! La fea!"

Rotem jumps off the now injured, and possibly unconcious man and in a flash is upon the man now holding the gun, a balled fist is jerked towards his guts, attempting to wind the man, and possibly knock him to the ground.

Yi raises an arm at the sudden light, eyes narrowed as she falls quite silent. Only her dark eyes portray the Rage as she blurs towards the one with the flashlight. Her body sails around in a roundhouse, hopefully knocking the light away.

Massive Head Wound Harry, the formerly bandana'd one, is not yet unconscious, managing a hand to trip the Rotem to the floor. As Yi tears forward through the crowd to the one with a flashight, the skicapped one can be heard yelling. "Vamos! Vamos! El diablo es aqui!" Poor flashlight man is taken down rather quickly and the light goes sprawling out onto the floor, still on.

Yi turns with a rather loud roar for the sake of scaring the gang members. But still set on the skicapped one, she lunges for him to take him down.

Rotem falls down to the floor, the fall cusioned with his hands. He scampers up to his feet, still going for the one now holding the gun. He hasn't completely risen yet when he is within range of the gunman, so he aims for the closest target. Namely the poor man's family jewels.

The gun gets tossed to the one that tried to get Rotem off of the bandana'd fellow as he calls out "Diga me! Diga me!" as though it were some prized posession the gang refuses to endanger. As rotem takes the time to scramble, he gets met with a knee to the face as he rocks the poor fool's world. Skicap is still calling out orders and still being covered by his cronies, much to Yi's annoyance. "Abre la ventana! Traves! Traves!" The screaming one screams some more as another shouts for him to shut up even as the majority of gangfolks make for the windows. As skicap is covered, he draws a bead on Yi and fires.

Nargalsius pages: You finch in time, but still 2 non-agg right off the temple. You're disoriented a bit.

Rotem attempts to grab the mans knee as he falls back, wanting to take the gangster with him.

Yi twists as the gun goes off, but the bullet grazes past her head and snips off a part of her eartip. The fire from pain and bleeding makes her pause, but she's not going to wait for another round to go off. The nomoon's legs blur as she drops down and swings her legs to hook the skicap's legs her her own.

That bit of a delay is all skicap needs as he makes his way, leaping out and through the windo previously shattered. Yi gets nothing but air. Rotem wrestles the guy down ans the bandana'd one gets to his feet rather awkwardly. "Madre de Dios!" Whatever fight is left in the group is leaving them just as their ringleader did.

Yi swings back up to her feet in a smooth kick, and watches the group head for the hills. Or windows, rather. Before one of them can pass, she shoots her hands out to grab his shirt and hair, growling angrily. "And don't come back," she breathes hotly into the man's ear before shoving him towards the window with his comrades.

Rotem having wrestled the man down onto the floor, he then repeats his earlier tactic, in a blur of motion he uses his enlarged hands to slam this man as well against the concrete. Oh what Rotem wouldn't give for a nice two by four right now.

If Yi is letting them scamper away with their tails between their legs the do. As Rotem smacks the one guy he has, the others quickly vacating, he smashes the guys head against the floor, the second time being rewarded with an almost sickening wet thunk as something gives.

Rotem releases the man as he hears the sound, rising up and looking for any other unfortunate souls he might be able to still catch.

Yi growls out to Rotem. "Enough!" She feels up towards her ear, tender to the touch as she watches the gang leave. "They might come back, later." Her eyes scan out into the darkness for the ones that have been left behind.

Only two are left behind, one in a almost catatonic fit (no willpower having flunky), the other quickly staining the floor with pink froth from the back of his head as he stares blankly up at the ceiling.

Yi steps over to pick up the flashlight and click it off, shifting back to her breed form as she does so. In the darkness, it's hard to see her features. She steps closer to the frothy one and clicks on the light to see his injuries. "Rotem... change back and nudge the other out."

Rotem changes forms and grabs the man's arm, twisting his arm behind his back and leading him upstairs. Once in the light Rotem remains behind the man and checks him over for any Loot, jewlery, wallet, weapons of any sort, or even an article of clothing Rotem might want. At least Rotem learned something from Nevada.

Yi shines the flashlight into the injured man's eyes, grimacing slightly at the blood pooling.

Yi looks up towards the stairs and calls out. "Is he gone yet?" She proceeds to check in the guy's pockets for a wallet for ID.

Rotem has enough cheap switchblades, he sticks his hand in the man's pocket to check for a wallet. He notes that the jeans are pretty nice, so instead of looking for the wallet, he descides to take the whole package. He unbuckles the man's jeans, and takes his sneakers as well, before uncerimoniously chucking the man off of the church steps and into the street.

Yi switches a hand on the flashlight and walks off to one of the classrooms. She returns with a pair of black gloves on, and a handful of huge black plastic bags and sighs quietly before slipping the bags around the guy's feet.

Rotem returns downstairs, his new jeans slung over one shoulder as he looks to Yi. "Don't tell me the prick went and died?" He asks with a sigh.

Yi pauses before she slips the bag over the head. "I'm sorry that your life had to end this way," she murmurs to the corpse. "Please do not be angry, but continue on to the next life in peace." Then, she gathers the bag over the guy's head, triple bagging the whole package with some by now expert knot tying. "He did. No ID, so I don't know his name." She glances up at the cub. "Please clean up the blood, yeah? I have the other matter to deal with."

Rotem sighs deeply and walks over to the LED array, fixing what he can from it at the moment, and one of the sockets turns back on. With the light now in the room he walks over to the fridge and pulls out whatever Coke and Pepsi he can find.

Yi slips her bloodied sweater off from around herself and ties it to the bag. She touches her ear again, before taking the gloves off and shifting up to glabro. Stuffing those in her pocket she grips the bag by the sweater and heads up the stairs, blurring as she does with an audible sigh to disappear for a few hours...

Rotem busies himself with pouring the coke out on the stained concrete, some saved for him to sip. After the rest it poured out he goes to search for a mop.

Rotem locates a mop and starts cleaning up the mess, he then puts the mop away as well and goes back to the fridge. Fighting works up an appetite.

Yi returns after an hour or so, exunt of sneakers and sweater and in homid form. She immediately heads into the basement from the sanctuary, checking around for the cub.

Rotem is dining on a sandwitch at the table. The floor mostly cleaned except for one or two spots of blood.

Yi sniffs lightly, the blood stiff hanging in the air like a cloud of fog. She checks the broken glass of the window, and sighs with a rub to her neck. A muttered curse comes in her native language.

Rotem turns to look at Yi. He notes she isn't wearing any sneakers. "Hey, I got some sneaks for you." he rumbles, putting down the sandwitch and tossing her the sneakers from the willpowerless thug. "Try 'em on." he smiles and goes back to eating.

Yi catches the sneakers but doesn't slip them on. "I won't. If any of those guys happen to recognize them, they'd be after me in a tic." She moves for the fridge, rounding the spot where the man died and opens it to root around for a suitable bottle of water she keeps in there. Straightening back up she drinks. After a few gulps she looks back to the open window. "Didn't get the leader," she growls quietly.

Rotem looks to the windows, then over at Yi, considering. "You're a Ragabash, right? You think you could steal something, then put it back, without anyone noticing?"

Yi gazes towards Rotem. "Depends on what it is." She takes another drink before capping the bottle and setting it back into the fridge. "Why do you ask?"

Rotem motions over towards the window. "Well, if you stole an arc welder from some construction site, and a mask or three..." he looks towards the window now, "We could bar up the windows with scrap metal. Then p-put it back and no one would be the wiser." Rotem looks back to Yi finally. "I've never welded, but how hard could it be?"

Yi shakes her head some. "People might notice. But you can put in word to Elan about it. I'm not one to go barring out some good means of escape or entry." She eyes the window some more. "But the glass, that will have to get replaced." She sighs, with the hint of a tired growl behind it. She turns to Rotem, dark eyes nearly unseen in the dim light. "Thanks."

Rotem bows his head softly to Yi, "No, thank you. I fucked up with the punk. I didn't mean to off him."

"It happens," Yi moves over to the table and sits down. "We're killers, no doubt. And I think I'm getting pretty good at disposing bodies." She looks down at the table, as if that statement doesn't sit too well with her still. She's done it too many times, it seems.

Rotem swallows down another bite of the sandwich, offering it to Yi. "Want some?"

Yi shakes her head and holds up a hand in polite refusal. "No thanks," she answers. "I don't know how you can just eat like that, but I guess everyone's got a method of recovery."

Rotem goes back to eating his sandwitch and looking at Yi, his mouth full as he speaks. "I eat when I'm unsettled."

Yi glances up at the cub. "You could get fat like that, if you weren't running around all the time." she says quietly, though the meaning is well. "One wonders how many times this basement floor has seen blood since the Gnawers took it."

Rotem shrugs at the floor comment, and goes back to eating. "I got the metabolism of a horse. I never gain weight. Dunno why." Rotem shrugs and finishes off the food.

Yi shrugs, touching her ear again. She sighs quietly and shakes her head. "Any closer and I could've been killed." She gazes down at the cub. "Did you get shot? I thought I saw you stumble."

Rotem nods softly. "Yeah, I got shot in the chest." The cub touches his slowly deteriorating clothing. Seeing how the Gnawers got their name. There is now a hole in the chest area, and two ripped peices at the shoulders.

Yi looks the cub over. "Maybe you should've taken the guy's shirt as well," she smirks with a short chuckle.

Rotem considers this, then replies with a "Nahh. What would I do with a Metallica shirt?" He asks, smirking. "I mean, I might as well wear a shirt that said, "I have no taste in music".

Yi laughs softly, then shrugs. "Well at least there's some spare articles of clothing over in the other classrooms." She glances that way, into the dark hallway. She pauses. "Did you understand what they were saying?"

Rotem shakes his head. "I snoozed during spanish class. I just got some of it." Rotem smirks to Yi, "I think they were yelling that you were the devil, or a daemon, or something like that." Rotem glances over at the fridge then shakes his head.

Yi takes the flashlight out from her jeans pocket and sets it on the table. Or rather, clunks it down with a sense of irritation. "I shouldn't have just charged in like that. It was foolish. Even if I am Garou, it does not mean I am immortal." She feels her ear again. "Any closer and the Gnawers would have had one less no-moon." She glances up towards the stairs. "We should have lured them out along the stairway. Taken them on one at a time, or two at a time." There's a self-depreciating curse in Cantonese before she gets up and stalks towards the sanctuary.

You climb up the stairs to the ground floor of the church.

Rotem follows Yi up the steps, shaking his head. "Actually, I was thinking we could have had a lot more fun if we had went and gotten some help. Y'know? We could have driven them all off f'good. Not like this. Now they'll come back, with more."

Yi sits along one of the middle pews backing, foot propped against the seat behind it. "If the one you killed was someone's kin, that is no doubt." She narrows her eyes at the door. "Stupid gangs. Every one of them trying to take another's territory, with others getting killed over it."

Rotem shrugs softly. "Y'know, we could end it." He states softly. "I mean, we could totally take over the gangs, and keep em in order."

Yi sighs slowly. "It doesn't end there. The whole of the world is based on it. Every thing needs a space to live. And to have the best space, they have to fight another for the space. It is how Gaia keeps the creatures strong. Only humans have twisted it. Swords, guns, everything. And it doesn't help that the Weaver and Wyrm aid them." She shakes her head. "Sometimes, I just don't understand Gaia."

Rotem shrugs at this. "Maybe you weren't ment to. Maybe that is why Gaia put us here. To have something imperfect, incomplete. Something... unpredictable."

Yi snorts a bit. "Why, cause she was bored? Needed something to do, so she made something that could eventually kill her?" The nomoon continues gazing towards the door. "Well, sometimes humans do that too, don't they. We make something, think it's great, and it backfires. Every action comes with reaction." She lowers her gaze to her legs before her. "The goal, is seeking the balance amongst the ball that bobs in the waving water." There's a short pause, and she shakes off her mood. Reaffecting the mask, she glances over to Rotem.

Rotem nods to Yi. "Yeah, something like that. Gaia made the perfect system. But what fun is that?" He raises a hand. "I mean, yeah, The owl took My eye, but god damn, I flew through the air on the back of a bird! I killed a spirit." Rotem smiles, looking far off and happy, "So it could kill me? If you cannot die, you cannot really /live/!"

Yi allows a fleeting smile to cross her face before she looks up to the rafters. "That's something to think about. An ahroun's motto, na?"

Rotem smirks, "I should put it on a t-shirt." he grins and leans back. "I mean, Yeah, I lost the eye, but was the best rush of my life."

Yi nods slowly, slipping off the pew. "I think I'm going to head over to the packlands. See what Sepdet is doing. I'll see you around, na."

Rotem lays back in the pew and nods. "Yeah, oh, could you pick me up a white t-shirt?" he asks, looking up from the pew.

Yi nods to the cub as she shifts down to a traveling form. I will, she chuffs before willing the door to click open and slipping out.

Subject: ONS Aftermath
------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There was one dead at the end of Narg's ONS involving Yi and Rotem fighting a Spanish gang. Yi disposes of the corpse by triple bagging it in black garbage bags and bringing it to an alleyway somewhere along an abandoned wharf area. Being careful (as disposing of corpses warrant) of watchers and vengeful gang members that may be lurking around, she gets a fire going in an oil drum she had previously dragged there and hidden (this oil drum was used to dispose of the body of Nevada's human NPC friend Kyle at Rotem's firsting). And, sets about burning the corpse with wood from empty crates she can find. She burns almost all of the corpse, and what is not burned is emptied back into the garbage bags, weighted suitably and sunk into the river. All clothing items excluding t-shirt, jeans, and socks, are burned along with the corpse. Thank you. :)
