Yellow River Medicine Shop- Upstairs Apartment(#2150RJM)
The apartment has several rooms, the living room, Lyra's bedroom in the attic, Meiran's bedroom, the Laundry room/Bathroom, and the Kitchenette. The living room is one long rectangle, and shows signs of an Asian influence to say the least. The only item of furniture -not- made of bamboo, it seems, is the vinyl, bamboo-green sofa placed up against the wall.
The floor is tile, colored like white sand, with several snow-white scratches gored into it. There's an umbrella stand right next to the stairway, a Zenith television across from the sofa, and a small CCTV screen above it, set into the wall. Several bamboo-slat paintings are hung on the walls...women playing musical instruments, tigers prowling in the forest. In the back of the living room is a small, rectangular dining table. The wall there is covered in family photos and certificates for things Lyra did in her younger days, although some of the certificates have been shot full of holes.
To the right of the table, the wall is cut out, with a restaurant-like counter into the kitchenette. Convienient for passing plates of food between rooms. To the left of the door is the laundry/bathroom, and an exit to the fire escape. To the right is a small hallway, leading to the kitchenette, a full sized bathroom, and Meiran's bedroom. There are retractable stairs in the ceiling of the hallway, leading to a small attic room with a large window looking out behind the shop.

Fire Escape Stairs to the Store
Aubrey looks from the perplexed Cerwin to the unwelcoming Aiyana, and finally over to the distracted Lyra. Mm. Her eyes gaze towards Aiyana, wondering for a moment why the cub is giving her nasty looks. "Is there something wrong?" she asks. People are supposed to be excited and happy to see her, remember. She smiles lightly.
Cerwin blinks a couple of times, and finally manages to say, "Aubrey." It's more for Aiyana and Lyra's benefit, than anything else--it certainly isn't his usual level of eloquence.
Lyra looks up from getting plates- and then she breaks out in a happy smile. "Isn't my flat popular tonight!" she quips. "Aubrey, come in, want some food?"
Aiyana blinks and shakes her head. "Naw..just not used to everyone comin' in and outta here. Guess I'm gettin' territorial," she admits with a sheepish grin. "Welcome."
Aubrey mutters something but not outloud. Good lord, there are Ahrouns in the room. "Ah well, it's just me. Nothing to get all hostile about." The Fianna grins. "Oh, those look good, Lyra. Whatever they are." Then she wiggles her fingers towards Cerwin. "You. Again."
The unmistakeable sound of someone climbing up the fire escape rings in from the bathroom/laundry. Moments after, Yi appears a little bleary, not so dreary, and definitely a bit weary. Her 'nice' clothes are on tonight, black and deep colors, with black boots. Except, they look to be quite dusty from some walking or other travel. The ragabash stops at the sight of others.
Cerwin finally overcomes his confusion enough to wave at Aubrey. "Good to see you."
Aiyana blinks as another person enters. "Someone post flyers for a party here?" she questions, waving cheerfully at Yi once she's in sight. "Hey! You! C'mon in and have a seat!"
Lyra, instead of looking happy, blanches at the sight of Yi. "I didn't go to the grocery!" she wails, turning tail in the kitchen and rooting through the fridge. "I don't have -nearly- enough for everyone...golly, can I order pizza?" There is the sound of knocking upon the door from outside. Three quick thumps.
Cerwin regards the newest arrival, Yi, with open curiosity, but he waits for any introductions from those who seem to know her. He steps back a little, to make more room, and stands closer to the couch and the long black case he's left on the floor next to it.
(( Cerwin pages to Quentin, Yi, Aubrey, and Jeremy: The case in question being about 3 feet long, maybe 4 inches wide, and a couple inches deep. ))
Yi would readily take to the offer of a seat, having walked... well... a lot. "No... no need." She waves off the food, eyes looking over Cerwin too. A brow arches. He's a new face. "Hello," she greets him with a light dip of her head.
Aiyana glances around the room at everyone, and is glad she's not claustrophobic. At the sound of knocking she blinks, wondering who else could be coming over. Shrugging she heads for the fire escape.
Names still unspoken, Cerwin at the least gives Yi a bow, hand-over-fist. "Cerwin Frahley." He signs his name and says it simultaneously.
Lyra appears from the kitchen, bearing a large tray. The cookies have been put away into a nice basket, wrapped for Salem...on the tray is fried rice, spring rolls, half of a sub, five small squares of Ledo's Pizza, and a dish of dumplings. "Soda in the fridge," the cub says rather breathlessly.
Aubrey shurgs up one of her shoulders. She lightly rubs the back of her neck while she watches several people arrive. "Must be the cookin' that attracts..." she says. The Fianna meanders towards Cerwin, lightly catching his attention with a poke to the arm.
Jeremy peers inside after the door is opened, followed by Quentin behind him. Gothy and scary, he heads inside, letting out a soft breath, eyes a tad red. "Ey'." He says with a murmur, rubbing at the back of his neck. He glances about, searching.
Yi, looking very quizzically at Cerwin with the name signing, blinks but returns the bow again. Formalities, it seems, has been all she's done this evening. "Song Yi Ling," she pronounces with all the Mandarin-accented intonations in place. But moreover, she finds the greeting odd coming from someone... well... not Asian. "Pleasure to meet you, Cerwin Frahley."
Aiyana blinks. Why look, it's a Jeremy! She waves to the incoming guys and grins, a bit more cheerful than she was a moment ago. Lyra would probably notice if she's not busy. "Hey...what brings you two here, hmm?"
Quentin might be noticed just behind where Jeremy's gothic features peer into the place, stepping in just after and looking around him to offer a hesitant smile to the gathered. "Hey everyone," he says in.. somewhat subdued tones, though his smile warms a notch as he catches sight of a more-familiar face in Lyra.
Lyra? Notice? The cub settles into a chair at the dining table with the air of someone whose house has been invaded and couldn't stop it. Oh, wait. Slowly, with great purpose, Lyra folds her arms on the table and lies facedown. Just a quick breather...the asian teen strove to be the perfect hostess and off-the-cuff parties took her out of stride. What a day.
Jeremy smiles at Aiyana and makes his way over to her. "Hey... Um.. not much, just got out of a tribal moot." He looks a bit tired, but happy none the less to see her. Without hesitation, he slides his arms around her, leans forward and steels himself, before planting a kiss on her lips shamelessly in front of everyone. Time to stop hiding.
"You're a...friend of Lyra's?" Cerwin asks Yi delicately. He seems to be skating on the thin ice of being very polite while still hoping to discover who she is, precisely. He offers a grin to Aubrey, although his attention remains on Yi, should she speak.
Aiyana ohs, nodding. "Moot, huh? Any f--" For possibly the 4th time this evening, she finds herself cut off, although, she's not really gonna complain too much about this interruption. She does blush, though. Quite a bit, as she wraps her arms around Jer's shoulders.
"..hey Lyra." Quentin adds that just as something to say as he steps out of the way of both Jeremy and Aiyana.. though he flickers a green-eyed look in their direction, his lips twitching up a bit at the corners. Amusement? No.. approval.
Yi nods slightly in affirmation. "I am," she says in answer, puzzling out who this guy is. But by the way Aubrey seems to hang about him, and given the way all these Garou were around and he didn't even flinch? Her assumptions run tiny rivers. "A sister," she says finally, with some meaning in that way her eyes hold her expression back. "And you?" The Gnawer raggie spares a glance at Aiyana and Jeremy just in time to catch them kiss. Then she looks back at Cerwin, blinking.
Aubrey remains quiet. For a moment she blinks at Aiyana and Jeremy before her attention turns to Quentin. "You're the new Glass Walker cub?" she questions him in curiousity. Her eyes flicker to Cerwin, watching him with a light grin.
At Quentin's greeting, Lyra looks up blearily- right in time to see Aiyana and Jeremy kiss in the corner of her vision. She blinks, slowly turning her head. She binks again. Then a satisfied, 'I can die now, and relatively happy' smile spreads across her face as she leans back in the chair. Hazel eyes sparkle contentedly. "Kent, do you see that?" she whispers, tugging on the Walker cub's wrist. "Be my witness. And then swear -never- to tell Salem-rhya."
Jeremy smiles and trails two fingers along her cheek, drinking in her eyes as a smile tugs at the corner of his mouth. Arms sliding about her waist loosley, he gives her another soft peck, cheeks flushed with a hint of rouge. "Not a lot of fun... it was Roger saying good-bye to us one final time." He says in a soft voice.
Cerwin glances at Jeremy and Aiyana long enough to see them kiss. On top of everything else, this seems a bizarre addition to an already bizarre day, but all he can do is turn his attention back to Aubrey and Yi, his expression one of careful calm. "I'm...related," he replies after a moment.
Aiyana mms quietly. "Any way I can lighten your mood?" she questions, idly glancing around for a moment. "Um, I feel like one of the exhibits at the zoo." She grins faintly towards the others, then looks back to Jer as she moves a little closer to him. No sense trying to deny it now.
Quentin's head tips in a quick nod to Aubrey, one hand raising to sweep the tips of his fingers back through his hair in an attempt to order it a bit better as he straightens. "Yeah," he affirms with a smile, this time, though a faint one, "I'm Quentin.. I'm a galliard, you already pre-empted the rest of my titles and I don't have any others to offer, so I'll have to go with that." The touch to his wrist brings a grin down towards Lyra, and his smile turns true at last. "I see it," he chuckles, "And I won't tell Salem-rhya.. unless he asks specifically."
Yi ahs quietly and nods with understanding, relaxing a little more now that she has an inkling. Kin. To which tribe, she won't really bother asking as of yet. "Call me, Yi," says with little elaboration as to why. It's just easier, or less formal. And seemingly to end this section of conversation, she dips her head again to Cerwin and takes a step back or so towards the kitchen. "Excuse me," she says to him politely, searching out the philocub.
(( From afar, Lyra is sitting at the dining table in the living room, but you get a good view of her from kitchen. ))
Aubrey nods to Cerwin's response to Yi. The young cliath remains quiet as she simply watches the room. Her arms fold against her waist. Then she nods to the Glass Walker cub. "I am Aubrey Bennett. Golden-Eyes, and deed named Spirit's Touch. Born under the moon of the crecent, tribe of the Fianna. Cliath." she introduces.
If Lyra got any happier...she'd be drunk. It's all she can do to hold back that damn clapping for happiness habit. She frowns up at Quentin, a little bleary-eyed. "Try to stay out of situations where he'd ask you, then," she murmurs. Then realizing she's still got a hold on his wrist (light, to be sure), she lets go and sits up straighter, running her hands through her hair. Usually well-groomed, or more semblance of it, the halfmoon cub looks frazzled. Her clothes are specked with flour and chocolate and oil. "How have you been, pip?"
Jeremy presses his forehead to hers and smiles a bit. "My mood is already lightened." He says in a soft breath, then chuckles at her other comment. He lifts a shoulder up and shrugs. "I don't even care anymore. Whatever.. Let 'em stare an talk. I'll deal with Salem if it comes down to it." A bemused grin. "Besides, I saw him smile. I have something to hold over his head."
Cerwin offers Yi an abbreviated bow of his own, and then looks over at Jeremy, giving him an approving, if teasing, smile. Finally he turns to Quentin and Aubrey, watching each of them speak, although not offering any information of his own at the moment.
"I don't think it's likely that he will," Quentin says with a slight twitch of his lips, and then he looks back to Aubrey and gives a quick nod of acknowledgement to her words, glancing down to his wrist where it's been released before returning green eyes to the cliath's face. "It's an honour to meet you, ma'am. Ah, Aubrey-rhya. And I've been fine, Lyra, just have a lot to think about."
Aubrey smiles and nods to Quentin. It seems that the young Glass Walker is busy speaking with Lyra. "What brought you here?" she asks Cerwin, seeming to be amused by the way the keep bumping into each other.
Aiyana blinks. "He...smiled? Without his face cracking?" She looks truly amazed. "Man. Hell's gonna freeze over then. Best dig out some winter clothes, or curl up in bed with a ton of blankets." She grins as she looks at Jer. "Or have someone to help keep ya warm," is added, but much quieter than the rest of the sentence. "Anywho, nice to see you in a better mood. Definately." A soft kiss is placed on his lips, as she glances towards Ly, half expecting the girl to come flying at her while squealing happily.
Yi finally gets to Lyra, at which point she gives Quentin a small nod, before leaning in to whisper something in the cub's ear.
"I'll keep that in mind." The gothic murmurs as he returns the soft kiss against her lips, hooking his fingers into her belt loops. Giving her a light squeeze, he finally steps back a tad, glancing over the gathered Garou and kin, catching Cerwin's look. He winks, cheeks tinted red once more for a moment before lifting up a hand and signing to him. "Don't even start with me." He says, without vocals. "Its cute, I know."
You whisper "(Who is this Cerwin? Kin?)" to Lyra.
"I met Lyra a little while ago." Cerwin stops suddenly, then clarifies, "The night everyone took back the Caern." He says that a little more quietly, and with a bit of reverence, perhaps.
Lyra's face cracks, into a silly happy grin, that is. "-Cute- doesn't even -begin- to describe it," she beams. She's about to get up when Yi whispers something in her ear; her gaze flicks over towards the cliath, distracted. She answers in whispered Mandarin, then nods and cracks a wan smile at Cerwin as he answers for himself.
Lyra whispers "(Yes, Kin- deaf, too, speak slowly.)"
Yi glances up to Lyra, then back to Cerwin, and hms silently before nodding as Cerwin elaborates. She slips back towards the main part of the apartment, just about to ask Cerwin another question before the black case catches her eye. Which, naturally, draws her gaze down at the mysterious bundle.
Aiyana mmfs, smiling. "I bet you will." Sadly, she doesn't know sign language, so that part of the conversation is lost to her. Her hands move down to Jer's chest and stay there, at least for the moment. How adorable.
Aubrey nods slowly to Cerwin. "Ah," she responds, "Yes, I was one of those." She straightens, looking proud of herself. She looks around the room once again, catching Yi looking at something.
A step back is taken, Quentin's hands sliding behind him to clasp loosely there at the small of his back and both feet parting a bit as he drops into a 'watchful' position. Chewing lightly on his lower lip as he listens, watches, and learns what he can.
Jeremy smiles and gives her another good sized hug, then slips his hands to let them rest on her waist as he faces her, offering a puppy smile from behind his thin glasses. His spikey black hair is dipping down a bit into his face, making him look innocent, in that 'scary gothic I shall eat your spicy brains' way.
Lyra rubs her cheeks with her palms, trying to a) convince herself it's not a dream and b) wake up a little more. "Like what?" she asks Quentin softly, looking up. Her own hazel eyes are leaning towards a honey-brown now, the excitement getting to her. "Are you okay?"
Cerwin's only response to Jeremy is a sly smile, and he just catches Aubrey's comment. To this he nods, but instead of saying anything, he follows her gaze to floor, where he set down his case. "Did you want to see it?" he asks, the essence of polite.
Aiyana bites her lip and chuckles, then reaches up with one hand in an attempt to brush those unrulely pieces of hair out of Jer's face. "Think we should go sit down, before everyone thinks we're up to somethin'?"
Aubrey looks to Cerwin and blinks. "Uhh, sure?" she replies. "What is it?" She was actually following Yi's gaze but that does not matter. Wandering more towards the couch, she perches on the arm carefully.
"Too late," someone calls out. You'd never guess it was Lyra, not from how innocent she looks, eyes on Quentin's face. Nope.
A half-smile flickers just to Quentin's lips as Lyra asks that question softly of him, and he gives his head a subtle shake down to her. "No, I.." He pauses, mentally retracting what he was about to say and running the tip of his tongue over his lips, "..I'm fine. Like I said, just stuff to think about, is all." At not-Lyra's call, he just smirks down at her with a shake of his head.
Yi glances up at Cerwin from her cursory, curious inspection of the black case. She nods at him, but refrains from any particular insistence that he open it immediately.
Jeremy nods his head, sliding hands into hers, squeezing. He motions to the couch and moves over to it, leading, fingers wrapping tightly together.
Aiyana blushes faintly as she follows. "Someone's brave tonight," she whispers, grinning. "Didn't miss me that much, did you?" A quick glance is aimed in Lyra's direction, the Ahroun studying the other Gnawer for a moment.
Lyra cocks her head up at the cub, eyes definitely honey-colored in the light. "I'm fine, I'm going to hang up the phone now fine?" she says quietly, concern on her face. Her glance flicks to Jeremy, then to Aiyana. She smiles softly, encouragingly, then puts all her focus on the Walker cub. "I'm always up to get my ear yapped off."
Cerwin carefully picks up the long case from the floor, and sets it on the couch, figuring a viewing is a little easier than an explanation. It's bound on the long side at both ends with every-day clips, which he snaps open, followed by the lid of the case itself. The interior is a worn, velvet-like molding in grey, and resting in it is a long, somewhat plain sword with a black handle. The blade is not particularly wide, and darkened with age and wear, although still quite clearly sharp. The guard seems to be newly polished, and from end to end the entire sword isn't quite 3 feet.
(( Cerwin pages to Yi and Aubrey: It's a basic-use choy li fut sword, so about 3/4" wide blade, meant to be wielded with a single hand and the guard is fairly flat and u-shaped. ))
"Of course I've missed you." Jeremy says as he squeezes her hands, playing with her fingers gently. He looks so incredibly happy right now.
Another twitch of Quentin's smile at the reminder of the phone incident.. his own green eyes softening as they meet honey, and he shifts his stance a bit uncomfortably for a moment. "Not that fine," he replies with a slight shake of his head, sending dark hairs fluttering down into his eyes before he blows it aside with a quick breath upwards from pursed lips, "I just need to think.. after I think, we can talk, 'kay? I'll call, or something."
Aubrey smiles as she looks over the sword. "This is what you were speaking of that one night?" she asks. She licks the face of her front teeth. "You need to come by the farmhouse sometime, so I can show you what I have been working on." she tells the Fianna kin.
Aiyana pffts. "If anything you were probably happy to get me outta your place for some time to yourself," she jokes. "Not havin' to worry about struttin' around the place naked like guys tend to do when no one else is in the room..."
Yi's eyes go wide a touch, seeing the weapon. Wow, she hasn't really seen someone carrying one of those around since she trained back home. Flicking her gaze from sword to Cerwin, the ragabash looks between them. "You know the arts?" she asks quietly, perhaps, admiringly. She leans in. Boy, it's be nice to hold it.
Just to tease poor Lyra's imagination, Jeremy says to Aiyana. "Oh no.. I only do that when you're at home." He grins, eyes twinkling. "Or else there'd be no real point in doin so."
Aiyana's eyes widen and she attempts to blend herself in with the fabric of the couch. "You do not!" she replies, blushing furiously now.
Lyra smiles...then, as tufts of conversation drift to her ears, she peers around Quentin to blink at Jeremy and Aiyana. "(Tall brother had -better- be teasing or he invites a small dragon,)" she huffs indignantly, before looking back up at Quentin. "Okay, whatever you'd like. You don't -have- to tell, I'm just a busybody," she grins. Rubbing at the back of her neck, the halfmoon stands up from the table. "I'm going downstairs to check on Annie."
"Yes," Cerwin confirms for Aubrey and Yi both. "Choy li fut, specifically." The Chinese name he says with modest proficiency, considering he's never heard it said. "And, I'd be happy to, although, I don't usually spar with this one. I had to take it to a metalworker today, and get a nick in the guard repaired."
"I'll call," Quentin re-affirms with a quick smile to Lyra, and then shoots a look that's pure amusement now back over in the direction of Jeremy and Aiyana. "..ah.. you want I should look for a new place to stay from here on out, Jeremy? I mean, I wouldn't want to cramp your style.."
"He could stay here," Lyra adds quickly with a straight face.
"Right, speakin of inviting small dragons." Jeremy says with a smirk to Lyra.
"No, he's mine. He is living with me." Huffing, he smiles over to Aiyana, winking. "And you aren't crapping my style, Quentin." He says with a snicker. Aiyana glances around, then raises a brow at Ly. She doesn't question just yet, though. That will come later for her little sis. But, in the meantime, she continues to try and hide in the couch. "I'm gonna have to hurt you later, aren't I?" she mutters to Jer.
Yi couldn't be more glad. The way Cerwin is quiet about his kung fu skill definitely must be a good sign. "Where do you practice?" she asks of the Fianna kin, very curious. He could literally see that eager gleam in her eyes. The day gets better, it seems.
Aubrey nods to the blade although her knowledge isn't so much applied into metalworking. The Fianna, however, seems aumsed by Cerwin. Her glance travels to Yi, where she lightly snickers under her breath.
"Mmhmm." Jeremy says as he leans over, giving her another kiss. "Tie me down an beat me." He winks to her subtelly as the playfull side of the kin has finally come out a bit. Slinking his fingers into her hair, he strokes gently at the dyed red tips.
Cerwin tips his head and lists off the various places. "It depends. Sometimes, at the gym. They have nice open rooms with mats, so, I have more space. I can't do any swordwork elsewhere. At home only if I don't have time for the gym, and then, it's crowded. I also take the bus to SeaTac, to study with my Sifu, as often as I can."
Lyra smiles at Quentin, and pointedly ignores Aiyana and Jeremy before weaving her way around people, disappearing into the hallway. There's a creaking sound, a slight pop, and then a -smack- like something big and hard fell on the tiled floor. Silence. "Ow."
If the earth swallowed Aiyana up right now, she wouldn't complain. The cub can't possibly turn a further shade of red. "Only if you're good," she finally manages to reply as she kisses the kin back, her eyes snapping towards the direction of the 'ow'. "...Lyra? You a'ight?" she calls, moving to get up.
It is perhaps a blush on Quentin's cheeks.. though from what, it's hard to say. The sudden -thud- from the hallway brings him running, though, even before anyone else can stand. A hand bracing to the hall's edge as he cranes his neck around to peer concernedly, a concern heavy in his tone, "Lyra? You okay, cute stuff?"
Jeremy blinks his eyes a few times, then twists his body around to glance over his shoulder. Chains and metal trinkets woven throughout his clothing jingle together at the movement. "HA! Cute stuff! Dude.." He points. "Duuuuude... We are so guy talking tonight."
Yi is just about to say something more, when she turns at the sound of something falling. "Eh?" Conversation broken off, the ragabash leans to look down the hallway. Everyone else is running already. She won't clutter the narrow corridor.
Yi adds a momentary glance at Jeremy. But thinks nothing more of it really.
Lyra's kneeling on the ground, hand over one eye- in the other, clutched a small rope with a bead attached at the end. The stairs leading to the attic have fallen out, the line to opening it slowly breaking. Blood trickles between Lyra's fingers. "Ow," she says again, trying to stand up.
Aubrey doesn't quite understand anything above kick-boxing and boxing in general. Okay, so she is pretty Irish when it comes to fighting. As everyone gets up, Aubrey just stays seated. Better not get involved when there is fair enough help rushing to the scene. She sighs softly, looking towards the fire escape. "Is everything alright?" she calls out.
Aiyana gives Jer a look before she moves towards the hallway, eyes narrowed in concern as she looks for Lyra. "Oh, damn," she mutters as she takes off her bandana, holding it out for the other girl to take. "Press that against the cut, okay?" she says, crouching down. "Is is bad enough to need stitches, or should I bounce to the bathroom and grab a band-aid?"
"Shift up to your glabro form and heal in about two seconds." Jeremy says with a smirk as he follows after Aiyana, giving her a light nudge in the side. "Ya'know... super healing powers an all."
Cerwin follows the movement in the room, and although very concerned he doesn't attempt to crowd any closer. Instead, he relies on Aubrey's question to learn any answers.
"Oh.. shit." Quentin's eyes widen at the sight of the hurt Gnawer, a bit of a frantic look on his face, "Are you alri-- oh. Right." A glance to Jeremy, almost embarassed, and he looks back towards Lyra with still concern in his expression, though he doesn't move closer. He doesn't know a whit of first aid.
Lyra glares at the many people now watching her, and waves assistance away. "Fine, dandy, never been better," she calls out for all to hear. She winces, and when she takes the bloody hand away, you can see a long, if shallow, cut across her brow. "Glabro sounds like a good idea," she mutters angrily. The clean hand goes to the wall and she pushes herself up, then shifts. By the time she's hit Glabro, the cut is gone- and then she's back in homid, touching the new skin with a curious forefinger. "Oh, bloody bother, now I can't close the stairs...." She glances back at the crowd she's gathered, then starts shooing them away with her hands. "Back, back, I'm not dead."
Yi briefly glances at Jeremy, but makes no protest to the shift inside here. They are in a safe place. But there's some sobering of the CantoGnawer's expression at the sudden activity. There's an awkward pause. Should she continue that conversation with Cerwin? It'd be quite rude....
Aiyana sticks her tongue out at Jeremy. "Hey. I'm just bein' concerned for my sis." Without her trusty bandana, her bangs have escaped, falling down into her eyes and giving her an almost sheepdog-ish look. As requested, though, she does back up while stuffing the bandana into a pocket, moving to stand next to Jer. "Think we should go back to the couch now..."
Cerwin catches a glimpse of Lyra, now healed, and that seems to satisfy him. He does grimace a little before turning back to his Tribemate and Yi. Excitement over for the time being, he gestures to the sword with both hands, wordlessly offering either Garou a chance to examine it a little more closely than the confines of the case offer.
Aubrey smiles and looks to Yi, letting the Bone Gnawer to examine the sword closer. She is happy with just the simple look of the blade. The Fianna knows that it is unlikely to be the sort of weapon she would be carrying. As to Lyra, she frowns lightly but does nothing more.
Quentin relaxes as well, sinking in a bit against the wall's edge and offering a wan smile back over towards Lyra.. waggling one finger in her direction and insisting in firm tones, "No scaring me like that, okay?" Then Jeremy's words from earlier sink in, and he casts over his shoulder, "You're fuckin' stoned, Jer, I swear to god. Just because you--" He bites himself off, and turns grumbling to walk back into the room to the place near the fire escape he was hanging out in, shaking his head.
Jeremy smiles and shrugs his shoulders, then gives Aiyana a quick hug before heading back. "I actually may get home. I got work in the morning." He says with a sigh under his breath.
Yi smiles faintly again, glad for the resuming of this other topic, and glad that there's nothing by way of brain damage for Lyra. The Gnawer is tentative to picking the sword up out of the case, but she when she finally does, she holds it confidently. No, she doesn't know all about swords or how to use the blade expertly, but at least she knows how to hold it well. She turns, taking a few experimental movements with it well out of range of cutting anyone.
Lyra smiles at Quentin's retreating back. Then left to her own devices, Lyra climbs up the stairs to her room, roots around, and comes back down with a pink blanket in her arms. After glaring at the stairs, she heads down to the shop with soft steps, armed with warmth.
Aiyana pouts at Jeremy. "Maybe I'll go with ya. I think poor Lyra's got her hands full with everyone her now. Couldn't hurt to clear out some space for her." She smiles, "And somehow, I don't think she'll mind me stepping out."
"Oh C'mon Quentin, ya'know I'm joking with you." Jeremy says with a smile as he turns his eyes upon the cub. "We're room mates, you just have to get used to that subtle jabs at time." With a smile, he glances to Aiyana and nods his head. "Sure, if you want to come over. I don't mind." Duh.
"Yeah, well.." A rather rueful look in Jeremy's direction, as Quentin observes in rather dry tones, "Joke about something that won't get Salem-rhya to tear off my cojones, eh? I'm rather attached to them, no pun attended.."
Cerwin watches with appreciation, and also takes a moment to look around the room at the others, seeing what they're up to.
Lyra comes up the stairs, minus the blanket. She looks around at everyone, then at the untouched food, and sighs, opting to lean against the doorway with a small smile. She catches Cerwin's glance and grins.
Aiyana grins. "Of course you don't mind. I keep you warm and give you backrubs. You need me," she adds, nudging the kin with her shoulder. As Lyra returns she waves towards her. "Mind if I do the whole ninja vanish thing for the night? I'll behave, I promise."
Yi at least knows how to make the blade sing a bit, putting a few movements more before wrapping it up. She comes back to Cerwin, offering him the blade back with a ritualistic politeness, only broken partly by others deciding to separate for the night.
Aubrey seems to show a hint of a yawn as she looks over the room. For a moment she looks to Cerwin has he looks over the room. The Fianna begins to show a bit of tiredness over her recent toils. "Perhaps I had ought to be heading out soon," she says to no one particular.
Jeremy grins slightly at Q,t hen turns his eyes over to Lyra as he hooks an arm around Aiyana's waist, leaning his head against her shoulder.
Lyra's grin gets transferred to Aiyana, and she dips her head slightly. "Okay, but don't stay too long in the morning. Salem-rhya -can't- know about this." Her grin fades slowly into seriousness. "Honestly, Jeremy. You won't believe the row I had with him about this." She wriggles her nose, and drops her voice low so non-paying-attention adults won't hear. "In fact, I'd feel better if you both stayed here. I doubt rhya will make another house call."
Cerwin gingerly accepts the blade from Yi with a nod and sets it back in the case, and closes the lid with a quiet snap of the clasps. Addressing Aubrey, he says, "Let me know any time you'll be at the Farmhouse. I don't have as much to do in the summer, and, I've never been there."
Aiyana blinks as she leans closer to Jeremy. "He knows I stay at the apartment, but do you think he knows anything else?" She sounds worried, not quite panicky but close. "And I don't wanna impose on you or anythin', sis..."
"Ah.." Quentin leans against the doorway, flicking an uncertain glance here and there between Lyra, Aiyana and Jeremy, "..I can't exactly drive, so, if Jeremy stays here.."
"Mmmm... Well.. I'm going to head home tho', its just the only place I feel comfortable at." Jeremy admits softly, thinking a bit on what Roger said earlier. He has a lot of work ahead of him. Looking to Quentin, he wets his lips. "I should take him home also."
Yi adds a short smile at Cerwin's words. "Hey, if you would like a sparring partner, I do not do much either." Of course, she leaves out a lot of detail, but definitely has a certain degree of respect for the Fianna kin now. There's an uncertain glance at the discussion of who will sleep where.
Lyra blinks at Quentin. The Gnawer cub shifts weight on to her other foot, perplexed. "I could walk him home?" she offers finally. Then shaking her head at that, she sighs, rubbing at the back of her neck again. "I'm just worried Salem-rhya will pop up and find you two. He'll set you to Truth of Gaia, fights, and he said...he said...oh, please let's not risk this, not yet? In a few weeks I'm certain Salem-rhya will relent..."
Aubrey lightly pats Cerwin's shoulder as she stands and searches for a peice of paper and a pen to write down the farmhouse's address. "And you have never heard of using your feet?" Aubrey asks. How do you think the Fianna gets anywhere? Okay, occasionally she uses public transportation. She comes back with the address and phone number of the farmhouse on a peice of paper. Then she hands it to Cerwin. "Stop by whenever."
Jeremy huffs softly. "Lyra, we are not having sex." He says, running a hand through his bangs. "Calm down, its alright."
Cerwin nods an affirmative to Yi's offer. "Thank you, it would be appreciated. I don't have a lot of opportunity to spar with anyone here." He accepts the paper from Aubrey, and also thanks her with a grin.
Aiyana looks torn between staying with Ly, or going back to Jeremy's. "He said what?" she questions, then shakes her head as she turns to Jer. "Should I stay here or not?"
Lyra glares at Jeremy hotly. A wild day, almost exhausted, and now condescension. Too much. "(I risked my friendship with elder over many things, including you two,)" she shoots back. "(And, if he finds out you so much as held hands, he will put her to Truth of Gaia. And if she does not surrender honorably, and we know her temper! he will hurt her. Risk that, when you could be together freely if you were patient?)"
Aubrey smiles to Cerwin. "No problem," she says and moves off towards the food that Lyra had laid out. The Fianna makes sure not to pass up on the food while it's offered. She turns back to the Fianna kin, "Oh, and maybe you can teach me some sign language when you come over."
Huffing, Jeremy furrows his brows a bit, then starts to pace after letting go of Aiyana's hand. "(Fine.. fine..)" He says in a drawl, rubbing at his neck. "(I'll talk to him later and see what I can do. I'm going to stand up for myself for the first time in my life. Maybe talk to John first. This is ridiculous.") He looks to Aiyana, then shrugs. "Quentin and I are going home alone... sorry."
Perhaps meant as a first lesson, Cerwin signs (and generously says), "Not a problem."
Aiyana glances back and forth between Lyra and Jeremy, nodding once she finally hears something in a language she can understand. "A'ight...see you tomorrow, though? And maybe...kiss for the road?"
Yi is pleased by Cerwin's answer. Yep, the night is good. Then, as the others are all milling about, she looks over towards Lyra, whose scolding turns her head. And moreso, Jeremy's answer. The Gnawer raggie is suffice to say, surprised. Where in the world did he learn that? Clearing her throat softly to reduce that surprised lump inside her neck, she slides after Aubrey, noting aloud, "I think I'll have some of that food there, and go up to the rooftop. Call me if you need something." She turns back to Cerwin and bows her head again before actually getting some of that homecookin'.
Quentin just shakes his head a few times, and then turns without another word to step out the door and onto the fire escape-- not a word of farewell beside Jeremy's own words, apparently content to let that stand. Or perhaps thinking, again.
(( Cerwin pages to the room: Okay, well, bedtime. Assume I quietly watched, and was observant, and then left. ))
Jeremy shifts his eyes after Quentin and sighs heavily. He fidgets a bit. "Q, hey.. if you wanna stay, I can pick ya up in the morning." He says, frowning.
Lyra sighs, already looking regretful about her loss of temper. When Quentin leaves without so much as a wave, she looks downright miserable, and heads out after him quickly. Her house. Her fire escape. She goes out there randomly all the time... "Hey pip, I'm sorry..."
Aiyana pulls her bandana out of her pocket and fidgits with it as she moves towards the kitchen.
"Don't be ridiculous, Jer.." Quentin calls back over his shoulder as he steps out full onto the fire escape, straightening again and stepping to its edge, fingers coming to rest on the cool metal, "..c'mon, let's go." A look back then as someone steps out, though he looks a bit startled - perhaps guilty - at the sight of Lyra. "Huh?" A quick smile, "Nothing to be sorry about, babe."
Aubrey looks at the clock and grumbles. "Not enough hours in a day..." she looks around her and backens her way towards the fire escape. "I've got to run everyone." She offers a salute as she makes a quick exit.
Jeremy frowns and follows quickly after Aiyana, sliding his arms about her from behind. "Hey.. can I get that kiss for the road now?" He asks.
Lyra smiles a bit as she closes the door behind her and leans against it. She's setting herself up for another accident when someone makes to leave. When Aubrey comes out, she quickly scoots aside, then resumes that same spot. She doesn't learn. "Makes you jealous sometimes, doesn't it," she says softly.
Yi comes back from the food table, plate piled high with cooling snacks. If she didn't look like a Gnawer, she sure eats like one. The raggie pulls up beside Lyra, awaiting the safe departure of the others down the fire escape.
Aiyana blinks, jumping a little. She was expecting Jeremy to leave. "I dunno...you think you deserve one?" she teases, smiling as she turns to face him.
"No, but I'd like one anyways before I go." Jeremy says softly with a grin, raising up a brow. He slides his arms around her, then leans forward, pressing his lips to hers for a soft kiss.
Yi chews her way around a mouthful of rice to hold off any particular signs that she might have an opinion on the couple. Though she whispers to Lyra, it's loud enough to say, "(You'd think they'd get a room or something,)" in a joking manner.
Aiyana closes her eyes, head tilting slightly as she returns the kiss, letting her hands rest on his lower side. "G'night, you," she says once able to speak.
Jeremy smiles to her, then nudges his nose to hers, leaning away. Turnin about and heading to the door, he cuts his eyes over to Yi, chuckling softly. "(Good night Yi, Lyra.)"
Yi waves with chopsticks in hand and a nod, holding back the snicker bubbling inside.
Lyra looks up at Yi with a straight face. "(I offered,)" she murmurs. "Gnight, Jeremy." She glances back at Quentin and shrugs. "I could still walk you home, if you'd like to talk."
"Yeah, well.." Quentin hesitates for a long moment torn between two choices, glancing after Jeremy before giving his head a quick shake, and Lyra a quick smile, "..I should go with him. The video kind of messed him up a bit, I shouldn't leave him alone."
Aiyana looks towards Quentin. "...take care of him for me tonight, okay? Don't let him try anything stupid."
Yi looks bemused, but otherwise makes no further comment as the philocub offers to take Quentin home too. She nods at the Walkercub's decision. "Best to make sure he gets back safe as well," the ragabash says quietly looking after the fire escape, the humor seeping off.
If there's any disappointment in Lyra's face, it doesn't show. Really. She just smiles and nods, smile fading as Jeremy's state of mind comes into question. "I didn't mean to yell at him," she says softly. "Oh, -bother-. Now I have to bake -more- cookies...."
Yi bumps Lyra gently, shaking her head. "It's not you, trust me," she notes. Quentin would know.
Aiyana spins, grinning at Ly. "Hey. Don't worry about it. I'm sure I can cheer him up later. Er, not in any sort of way that'd get me killed or result in my ass gettin' kicked, though."
A hand lifts, so that Quentin can ruffle his fingers through Lyra's hair. "Like I said, cute stuff," he says with a more genuine, though faint, smile, "You're right. He knows it, too. I'll give you a call, 'kay? See you around, and take care.. 'later Aiyana, Yi-rhya.." A turn, and he heads down the fire escape without another word or a look back.
Yi gives a short salute at Quentin's back with her chopsticks again. Then, turning back to the two cubs, she notes, "Best get some sleep eh? Tomorrow is a new day. And there will be a lot of things to do and learn." Odd, she's so... optimistic at the moment.
Lyra blushes and ducks back inside with a squeaked "Gnite, pip," hands frantically working to smooth her hair back. He didn't just do that in front of people! The Gnawer halfmoon quickly gets out of view of the fire escape door.
Aiyana steps out of the kitchen and looks for a nice spot to stretch out on the floor. She finds one and collapses, yawning, glancing at the others. "...um, Salem's not lurkin' anywhere around here, is he?"
Yi shrugs lightly. "He was at the Walker Moot. I'm not sure where he would have gone afterwards," she answers softly. "So..." An awkward pause now. "I'll be upstairs, then, for a little while." The ragabash starts back towards the fire escape, food and all.
Lyra shakes her head, hair finally tamed. Oh -bother- that Walker cub. She's still blushing. "I should -hope- he's not," she tells Aiyana, smiling as Yi packs as much food as she can carry. "(Going home, elder sister? Want a box?)"
Aiyana hrms and chews on her lower lip. She's trying her best not to look nervous, and she's barely succeeding. "A'ight," she mutters softly. "Guess I should try an' get some sleep then."
Yi looks from the food to the cubs. "Me? Oh, not leaving yet. I'll just be on the roof." Bat-Yi! The newmoon smiles a little.
Lyra blinks, but nods slowly. Okay. People on her roof. What a day. "Don't fall, okay?" There's a blur as she shifts down to lupus and stretches out by Aiyana. Salem-rhya will not find out, and until then- we have cookies. She lifts a shaggy head to Yi and yips. Good night.
Aiyana chuckles, reaching out to scritch the now furry Lyra behind the ears. "I hope not. But, it's not like I'm bangin' Jeremy. We talked about it and agreed that was a direction we're gonna hold off on for a while. Quite a while." She waves to Yi, "And don't get into any trouble up there!"
Yi pokes her head back towards the two, spring roll in hand. "I won't," she promises, and then clunks to the bathroom, through the door, and up the rungs to the rooftop.
Four-Leaves yawns, jaws pulling back and then snapping shut. So -very- tired, the now clover-eyed wolf admits, laying her head on crossed paws. I can be a pillow, I don't mind, but oh don't wake me before noon...oh that's nice. Nice. So tired tired tired. Miss pip, the red wolf mumbles, before truly falling asleep.
