The ahrouns howl and call to the hunt, and the packs divide and rush off to scour the bawn. Others (new Gatekeeper included) stay behind to guard the center.
It's a glorious night. The moon is high, the sky clear as obsidian and the stars bright and cold, and the first hint of winter nips the night air. The earth beats under the paws of the rushing Garou as they fan out from the center, and they lose themselves in the hunt. Finally, those down on the southern side catch the most unlikely of scents... human.
Three-Blades teams up with Guards-Flame, as her former packmates had gone their ways, she does so too. The Gnawer ragabash's tongue lolls, as pacing by the Coggie galliard, the newmoon whuffs at her. Maybe we will find that sniper who decided to have fun last time while we were checking the Compound. Three-Blades then pauses as she gets a whiff of human scent. Human? On the bawn? And she double checks, making sure it's not just a Garou in homid form.
Guards-Flame lopes easily at the side of her Gnawer companion, chuffing back in return. ~Lets hope not, sister. The moon metal hurt me bad last time.~ Catching the scent as well, she flicks her ears forward a tad. ~Take to the thicker bushes new moon and turn yourself invisible. Follow along the scent. I will move forward, draw its attention perhaps. The shadows will conceal me well enough.~
Human... possibly male, though the scent is indistinct. The intruder is off to the southeast, somewhere near the perimeter.
The Fianna Theurge has been running extra patrols here lately, even if he isn't scheduled for it until March. Never hurts to be cautious. The wind brings him two scents that he recognizes easily enough, and a third that is out of place. Runs-at-Dawn alters his course to investigate.
The Gnawer looks over the area first, before agreeing with the Coggie. Silently, she calms herself to concentrate on bringing up her knowledge given to her by the spirits. Fox and Air, bending scent and light.
As they draw closer, they can hear the sound of someone crashing, or rather shambling, through the brush at a slow but inexorable pace. Yi spots the figure first-- a slender man-sized figure making no particular attempt to hide, simply plodding directly towards the caern.
Moving swiftly and carefully over the well memorized path, Guards-The-Flame lets her pure black form move through the darkest of shadows. Her ears are alert, pricked forward, waiting to catch sight of the source of crashing. Reaching out with her sixth sense, she tastes the air.
((Guards-Flame pages: Sense Wyrm
You paged Guards-Flame with 'You're not sure... maybe? Faint?'. ))
Three-Blades earperks at the sound and then looks directly in the direction of the man. To anyone not looking at her, her outline and form is rather blurry at the edges. The wolf scent from her vanishes, and when the Gnawer moves towards the figure she's near invisible. Still, she uses brush, tree and night's shadow in instinctive cover.
((Guards-Flame pages: Faint is more then enough :) ))
Runs-at-Dawn is still a ways behind the two, but now that they've slowed for stealth, he's gaining ground. He's careful not to make excessive noise, but does pick up his pace when one of the two known scents vanishes, to close the gap that much more quickly.
It's a young man, as one can soon see by the slouch of shoulders, goatee, and mullet perched on his head like a small item of roadkill. His head is thrust forward in the manner of a computer geek, his Adam's apple is prominent, and even in dim light it's quite easy to see the circles under his eyes. Which are closed.
He is dressed only in his underwear and socks; the latter are by now in a sorry state. Clutched in one hand is what's left of a Starbucks' White Chocolate Mochachino Grande. ~Sister.. I can taste the dark father in the air. Barely.. not enough to be worried in the city, but just enough to while on the bawn.~ Upon spying the man from over the thick bushes, a brow rises on the Gaian's wolven features, then slowly, she makes her way through the dark shadows, treading carefully. She takes another whiff again, trying to pinpoint the possible taint in the air.
(( From afar, Guards-Flame pings that gift one more time :)
You paged Guards-Flame with 'Again... it's elusive. Like when you /think/ you smell cat pee, but you're not quite sure whether you're just imagining it.'.
From afar, Guards-Flame grins. "Thats creepy." ))
Three-Blades wrinkles her muzzle at the scent of coffee, unnaturally strong to the wolf. Guards-Flame's quiet notifications just make the ragabash more suspicious of the strange man. Taking her eyes off the human for a moment, the Gnawer growls out softly, ~Shift to human, and try to wake him up. He does not seem aware of his surroundings.~
((From afar, to the room, Runs-at-Dawn has to idle for a bit. Not sure how long. Go on w/o me, assume I'm still catching up.
Long distance to the room: Sekhmet hokays.))
The hispo form of the Gaian winds her way through some of the thicker trees, then shifts her way up into her breed form. Alicia makes her way towards him, carefully, one hand inside her jacket pocket to grip the hilt of her barretta. She looks casual enough, even gently whistling between her lips. "Nice threads dude... you always go jogging in ya'britches?"
Three-Blades just sort of eyes the proceedings, creeping closer when she can, readying to pounce if Alicia should so much as get looked at wrong.
The almost-certainly college student is not really looking at Alicia wrong; he's just moving wrong. He stumbles over an uneven patch of ground, puts out a hand as if to catch himself, barely manages to keep his balance, and continues on. Step. Step. Step. Step.
"Yo. Hey." Alicia says as she steps in front of his path, picking up a fallen branch. Using it, she reaches out to poke him in the chest, brows furrowing. "Wake up, you ok?" Three-Blades twists her ears back, and then growls at Alicia from the shadows. He does not look like he is awake. Try turning him around. Make him walk back the way he came. The Gnawer looks out into the woods, half wondering if there is someone following the guy.
The eyelids flicker slightly as he starts to grind himself against the branch, resolutely trying to go forward like a child's wind-up toy.
((You paged Three-Blades with 'and no, no scent behind him.'.
Three-Blades pages: You're creepin' me out. Does the guy have a scent though? Does he.. mm.. smell familiar? ))
"Dude, I am so not touching him. Nicely at least." Alicia pokes him harder in the chest, then tosses it behind her. Steadying herself, she ducks herself down and whirls herself about, one leg going out in a sweeping motion, fluid, quick, and obviously trained. She hopes to take him down by the knees, to stomp his shambling.
Runs-at-Dawn finally catches up with the two, pausing near Three-Blades once she draws his attention her way by the exchange with Alicia.
((You paged Three-Blades with 'Not familiar, but he smells like an ordinary, somewhat unwashed college student.'.
From afar, Three-Blades facepalms.
You paged Three-Blades with 'With that 'I'm staying up late writing a paper my god' tang that we all know too well.'.
From afar, Three-Blades winces. Don't say that! x.x ))
Effective indeed. He goes crashing down, and doesn't land well, falling sideways and sprawling over the roots of a tree. He doesn't make a sound either, just lies there prone for a moment before struggling blindly against the ground.
Three-Blades turns her gaze and notices Runs-at-Dawn, pointing her nose towards the college student still asleep. He wandered onto the bawn. Still... asleep? The Gnawer ragabash peers oddly at the man. Perhaps we should pick him up and move him off the bawn.
"First we got walking cows and horses in the middle of the night, asleep, now we got this mullet sporting dumbshit. Who wants to check his ass and see if there is a trio of sixes on it?" Alicia comments as she picks up the branch again, poking him a few more times, narrowing her eyes. "I smell the Wyrm in the air, kinda.. its like ya'know its there.. right? But ya can't put your finger on it. Kinda like stepping in dog shit an you can smell it but you have no clue its on your shoe."
Runs-at-Dawn shifts up to the form of his birth. "Before we wake him up, we should try to see about contacting the Lady. If he's really sleeping, he's visiting her right now, anyway."
Three-Blades makes a quiet note she is all for dragging the guy by his hair back off the bawn. She looks to Runs-at-Dawn. The Lady?
There's a soft moan from the young man. He's still trying to get up, and his breathing is growing quicker.
Alicia glances over to Luke. "If you can contact her, go for it. Tho' I know that I sure can't. This is in your league bro." She tenses a bit, looking ready to snap kick him in the head if he tries to get up again.
Luke looks between Alicia and Three-Blades. "Our patron," he explains, not willing to go into more detail with a human present, however concious. "You two hold him. I don't guarantee I'll be able to get in touch with her, but it's worth a shot."
Three-Blades growls around the moon, but shifts to a form with opposable thumbs and approaches. With her human hands, she makes a grab for the guy's ankles.
He's still not fully conscious, which is just as well: Yi's able to grab hold, although he's got head and shoulders off the ground. His face is bloody from his fall.
Luke moves a short distance off, making sure to be out of sight of the human. That done, he shifts down to wolf and heads off toward the nearest body of water. Need to find a reflective surface, since Chimera isn't going to be hanging around in the realm.
Alicia makes her way over and pushes her boot right into the guy's chest and shifts her way into the glabro, forcing him down none nicely. Blame it on the moon.
Yi makes a face at the guy's struggling. "This is not right," she says quietly to the galliard, glancing over her shoulder when Luke moves off.
[From here, Luke goes into the Umbra, leaving Alicia and Yi to guard the man. The following is done via pages, but you get the idea.]
From afar, Luke stays in the room, but Luke will be crossing the gauntlet once he hits the nearest body of water. He'll then run to the center and howl for Chimera -- doesn't have summoning, so he'll just have to hope she's listening.
You paged Luke with 'On another night, it would be difficult, but tonight, Luke's in luck. The caern is throbbing with power. Soon a mirrored surface appears in the air before him.'.
After the Fianna's departure, the man finally fully awakens with an incoherent bellow, eyes wide and bleary. "What the /hell/?" he groans.
From afar, Luke shifts up to the warform to adress the spirit formally. *I am Runs-at-Dawn, Fostern Theurge of the Fianna, and I greet you, Lady. I ask your aid because there is one who enters the bawn when he should not, and he seems to be asleep -- in your realm."
You paged Luke with 'The answer is disturbing: an image in the mirror of the young man you've just seen, but with his skull cut away. There is nothing inside. Accompanying this is a voice in your mind: Not in my realm. Another's.'.
"Hey cutie, nice roo's." Snap-kick. Alicia whirls her foot around, steel toe an all an attempts to clock him a good one upside the head.
Yi takes her jacket off, about to throw the cloth over the man's head, but then winces as Alicia's boot comes awhirring.
The Garou swings... she hits.... she scores. The two holding him down have just enough time to see his eyes widen in confused horror before the foot connects with a satisfying crack. He is thrown sideways and goes still.
From afar, Luke asks, *Another's? Who? And how might we find this other? After what has come before, we cannot take a tresspasser on the bawn lightly, Lady.*
Yi closes an eye. "Alicia..." she starts to say, and then moves her fingers to the guy's neck to check his pulse. "You better not have killed him."
You paged Luke with 'There is an ominous stillness. The image changes to show a dark clawed hand--amputated-- gripping the top of his head, the fingernails dug into his eyes. Then the hand disspates and vanishes. /Held. But no longer. It was Wyrm./'.
"Dude. I'm a Coggie right? Sides, Luke needs him asleep to do his trick. He's napping quite well don't ya think?" Alicia says, peering down at him. "Sides.. He got that Wyrm residue on him like that horse did, which means.. a bane is piggy backing 'em?"
((You paged Yi with 'pulse is there. And the beginnings of a goose-egg.'. ))
Yi looks up at Alicia. "Does that mean... Luke is fighting a bane while we are babysitting a stinky man?"
From afar, Luke asks, *Will he remember, Lady? And can he be used to track our Enemy back to its source, even now that he is no longer held?*
"I hope not. Watch 'em." Turning about, Alicia quickly makes her way back to where Luke wandered off. "If he twitches, kick him again. If I'm screaming for help, you save my ass."
You paged Luke with '/Doubtful/ is the jangling reply.'.
Yi looks after Alicia, rolling her eyes. "Bloody hell," she mutters as the galliard takes off.
Luke pages: The crinos drops to all fours, lowering his head respectfully in wolf fashion. *Then I do not see more than we can do, save be sure that he is far from here when he wakes.* Or that he doesn't wake, of course. *Thank you, Lady.*
You paged Luke with 'The mirror flickers and fades, leaving you in the vibrant yet scarred umbral bawn.'.
From afar, Luke uses the stone to cross the gauntlet, then shifts down to wolf to return to the spot he left the other two.
(( From afar, to the room, Luke is on his way back now, IC. Will wait a few poses (or for Sek to nudge me) so that sufficient time will have passed. ))
Alicia meets Luke just as he reaches back across to rejoin them.
Yi waits as a dog does for its master, vigilant and occassionally checking the knocked out guy's pulse to make sure he's not going to just grow cold on her. Well, more or less. Her jacket gets slung over the guy, to keep him warm. Sort of. No way her jacket's going Down There to keep his legs warm.
The young man's skin is clammy and a bit cool, but he's definitely still breathing raspingly and out cold.
Yi eyes the woods around her, still waiting for that sound of returning footsteps. Hard to keep the human senses straining without herself thinking something is going to jump out. The Gnawer continues to wait, though, as patiently as possible.
Alicia meets up with Luke and furrows her bros. "Did everything go ok? You alright?" Runs-at-Dawn is fine. The wolf starts back toward the spot where they left Yi, moving at a brisk pace, but not a breakneck one. I will explain when we get back.
"Aiight." Alicia says as she turns back around, jogging to keep up with the faster wolf.
Yi is rubbing her arms by the time the two of them get back, but her eyes turn in the direction of the two returning. Rather than asking, she lets the two of them explain.
Runs-at-Dawn shifts up to homid, then moves over to check and make sure he's still out. Chimera did say the hold on him was broken, after all. That done, he says, "He wasn't in her realm. Something else's. When she showed me his image, his head was empty inside. And she showed me a severed hand dug into his head. She didn't think he could be used to track our enemy back to its source, or that he'd remember any of this." He frowns, not satisfied, since it means there isn't much that they _can_ do.
Alicia lets out a breath. "Just like that weird horse. Do you think this guy lives on that farm?"
Yi shakes her head. "No, he is not from the farm. I went to the farm." The asian girl glances back down at the man. "Maybe if we woke him up and asked him what he was doing at the time before everything went crazy...?" she trails there, looking at fostern and galliard.
Luke says "Not here he doesn't get woken up. And we need to make sure he stays out while we get him about as far from the bawn as we can. Then, maybe we can wake him up and talk to him."
"We can stick 'em in the trunk of my car, drive 'em out to the city, dump him out near bridge street an talk ta' em there? Or maybe at the old abandoned church?" Alicia offers, tapping her fingers against her shoulder in thought.
Yi looks around the forest again. Her voice still hushed, she remains crouched and pulls her jacket over the guy's head. "How far is your car?" she asks the galliard, obviously making a blindfold of sorts.
The man continues to breathe shallowly as they discuss ways and means, but mercifully is no longer showing any signs of coming out of it.
Luke says "Somewhere near a park, or something. If he remembers any of this at all, I want the place to match closely enough that he won't think anything of it. Hopefully, it won't be an issue, but I don't want to take the chance."
"Can dump 'em in harbor park perhaps. Its late 'nuff. Even tho', after the smack I gave 'em an all the shit he's been through, he probably won't remember his name for a few days." Alicia motions to the body. "Ya wanna carry 'em bro?"
"Not in public. As much as he is tainted... he doesn't seem to be a threat... yet," Yi slows as a thought occurs to her. "We can drive him somewhere, question him, and then drop him off in front of a university brothers house. He could think it was a joke that way?"
"That sounds like a good idea actually. We'll do that." Alicia says as she glances to Luke, then back to the fallen man. Nope, no way is she touching him.
Luke picks the guy up in a fireman's carry, starting toward the farm. Presumably, that's where Alicia's parked, and he's definitely got his truck there, if not. Luke grins at Yi. "Sounds like a plan to me. We can raid the farm for booze on our way to the car, make it seem a little more authentic."
And thus, the victorious revellers transport their... prey... to a safe distance.
Yi rubs her arms for a bit more warmth, and then nods. She follows the two back to the farmhouse, keeping watch on their backs as well as eyeing the mullet head.
((You paged the room with 'He's not gonna wake up unless you do healing or something, so do as you will. :)'.
You paged the room with 'er, at least, not for some hours.'. ))
[Timewarping a few hours later, we end up in a secluded part of the SCCU campus. The guy is propped up, hopefully to get him conscious sooner or later, while a few bottles of booze and the three Garou watch Mr. Headachy.]
Yi checks the nice bruise on the guy's head, courtesy of Alicia's steel toed boot. "Hopefully he will wake up soon. You shouldn't have kicked him, Alicia." She gives the galliard a look, but it's more teasing than scolding.
Their patient finally comes to groggily some hours later; he'll have gotten rather dangerously chilled if they haven't wrapped him in something. And the place where Alicia kicked him has swelled up into quite a bump. Eyes a little dialated, he stirs and mumbles.
"You're right, I should have gaven him the chance to wake up so that tentacles can burst out of his chest, kill us all, and bring thousands of spirals after us again." Laughing, Alicia nudges her friend, peering down at him. "Hey handsome, ya 'wake yet?"
"Wha?" is the man's oh-so eloquent reply. "Matron?"
Yi takes no chances, knowing her knife is waiting in her pocket. She looks at Luke and Alicia, waiting accordingly.
Luke laughs, pressing a bottle into the guy's hand. Whiskey, good strong stuff. "Damn, man, you were something else! Never told me you were such a party animal!"
Alicia crosses her arms and peers down at the mane, scuffing her boot against the ground. A smirk toys at her lips some. "Guess the rumors are true, size doesn't matter." She teases, glancing over to Yi.
Yi forces a smile, nodding with a clearing of her throat. "He good boy, no complain," she manages in a way too accented voice, patting the guy on his bared chest.
"Who the hell?" he says, voice a bit slurred and rising in panic.
(( You paged the room with 'Oh, whoops. Okay, he reaches for his jockey shorts to make sure they're still on. :)'. ))
Yi quickly puts a finger to the guy's lips, shushing him with a smile. She encourages him to take another drink of that whiskey, with a covert look to Luke.
Luke says "Hey, don't look at us, man. You're the one that ditched 'em. C'mon, you can't tell me you don't remember? You haven't had _that_ much to drink yet tonight."
Alicia laughs and rolls her shoulders some, peering down at him. She stays quiet, watching him intently, mostly his eyes.
The young man stares at them uncomprehending. "But-- what-- who are you people?" he stammers, still exuding fear and belligerence. "What the fuck is going on?"
Alicia raises up a brow. "Man, you /really/ had a lot to drink. Remember dat' party up in the westwing dorms? Don't remember Kathy and Julie an how yer' bragging 'bout ya bagged 'em both upstairs?" Laughing, she shakes her head. "So, whatcha been doing the past couple of hours?"
"You go pah-tee, and we dey-ah." Yi's accent is so thick there, it's hard to say if this was a Truth or Dare dare, or just a 'there' dare. Persuasion, turn on! Take off every zig.
[And All three Garou have it too. Persuasion gift, that is.]
The human's just about to burst out with another retort when he focusses on Alicia. Lips. Hair. Female. "I... I bagged someone?" the groggy fellow asks, stupified. "I mean... yeah. Yeah, sure, that was... I did that."
Alicia giggles and flips her hair back. "Yah, Julie said something 'bout ya was painting the walls an shit." She winks, pursing her lips, leaning forward a bit so that her clevage bounces a bit, teasing his eyes. "So, what happened all this time eh'? Last couple of hours? You took off after puking in the bathroom... "
Yi does her part accordingly, massaging this duped fellow's naked shoulders to relax him.
Joe Clueless licks his lips, eyes darting between Yi and Alicia. He's trying not to sweat. His face is still a mess too, bruised and cut from his fall. "I ... I don't remember. It was one of those nights," he says, trying to rally. "You know."
Alicia bobs her head. "Oh yah. I know.. so, where'd you go tho'? What do you last remember?"
Joe Clueless blinks, confused. "I..." He looks down at his hands. "I honestly don't know. Last thing I remember was Tuesday night, you know. Studying for the GREs and all. I was going over my Psych..."
Luke chuckles, adding his own bit of persuasion to the mix. "Drink up, though. We're still celebrating your good fortune, even if you don't remember much of it." He raises his own bottle, and down a swig. Not that he'll feel any side-effect from it, no matter how much he drinks.
Alicia grins faintly and wets her lips. "Dude, you even remember your name?" She ruffles up his hair. Ew. Mullet!
Yi smiles whenever she's looked at, using that Asian Persuasion. "You no remembah?" She questions, teasingly, "No know where you live eedah?"
His hand moves to his head in a half-asleep gesture that's probably a little alarming, reminiscent as it is of his sleepwalking earlier. "Aced it?" he asks hopefully, then smiles up at Alicia. "Anything for you, um...." he flails, trying to remember her name and failing. "Well, sure I remember. Joseph Peabody. Manton House."
"Joe-ee.. dude.. " Alicia says with a laugh. "Yah, ya aced it, fo'sho' bro. Yer' a nerd, but a cute one. Hey, real quick question.. ya meet anyone weird lately? Made ya feel kinda goofy?"
His mouth opens and closes. Pupils still slightly dazes, he reaches for a beer automatically. "Uh... well..." He appears to be wracking his brain, such as it is. "Not that I can think of." His eyes remain fixed on Alicia's cleavage.
Yi laughs too, in a very girly and uncharacteristic manner. Oh, she knows how to play that role. "Crazy Joe," she echoes cheerily. "You study hard, partee hard. Dream lots?"
Alicia is about to throat Yi for that annoying Transporter biatch imitation she is doing. Gah, nails on a chalk board. She shoots the Asian a look, then drifts her gaze back to him. "See anything ya like?" She teases. "Yah, you dream anything weird lately?" She asks, reaching over and touching his head, stroking the hair from his face.
"I think I'm dreamin' right now," he mutters. Still nonplussed, he tries his best to be accomodating. "Yeah, sure. I got all sorts o' dreams."
Doesn't Alicia think Yi is quietly going crazy in her own head here? Oh, she is. But this is easy for her enough to conceal her identity, or at least her voice, so this Joe Peabody doesn't remember who she is. She smiles testily right back at Alicia just on the edge of quivering.
Luke clinks his bottle of whiskey with the one he pressed into Joe's hand. Still adding persuasion to his native Fianna charm, he says, "Bet you can't down more of this than me in one go." He reaches over and squeezes Alicia's backside. Yeah, she'll probably make him pay for that one later. "She likes a man who can hold his liquor, if you know what I mean," he tells Joe with a wink. "You may've been luckier than me all evening, but I bet I'll get you this time. Third time's the charm, right?"
WHAM! Instant reflex. Luke gets a shot from the Gaian's elbow straight into his gut. The grope to her ass literally caught her off guard. Glancing over her shoulder, she GLARES at him, feeling the rage rush up her veins, her eyes glittering with dark anger. "Excuse me, bro'..." She hisses at him.
"Fuck you, bo--" Joe pauses, not knowing this one's name either. "Enh." He reaches for the bottle, then stops and stares with renewed respect at Alicia. "Day-mn."
Yi doesn't even bother to hide her wince. Better than what she would have done to 'Unlucky Luke'. She takes her hands off Joe's shoulders so he can have a go at the bottle.
Luke whuffs and doubles over. He's playing it up some, sure, but it _did_ hurt. "Ah, hell," he mutters, then looks to Joe. "Lucky bastard," he murmurs, and downs a rather large swallow.
Still keeping a weather eye on Alicia, Joe raises his drink and tosses it back. He tries to keep from coughing as the Fianna brew hits home, and succeeds, almost. A faint wheezing sound comes from his chest.
Alicia crosses her arms over her chest and snorts. "Yah. I'm.. his bitch." She says. UGH. MULLET. Good thing she hasn't ate a thing since the moot. "So.. you can't remember -anything- the past few hours?" She asks, peering at him with a raised brow.
Joe is still trying to get his breath back. "Yeah," he improvises hopefully. "I remember you, babe... you were great..."
"Think, think vely hard, smart boy," Yi says with a pat on the guy's back to help him exhale the aftermath of that brew. "You study, then what?"
Alicia o O(Oh..my...gawd...if Yi starts up with that asian shit again, I'm ganna hur--.. oh geez.)
"I... I went out to Starbuck's...." he says slowly.
"Aaaannnndd...?" Alicia trills softly.
Yi resumes massaging this poor Joe's shoulders. Relaaaaax. Think.
Luke stays quiet, nursing his bottle. His 'drunk, asshole jock' routine is only vaguely useful; he'll work more on getting the guy drunk enough to pass out shortly.
Joe shrugs. "I got some Mocha somethin' and came back and... Freud's sick, did you know that? A concussion, and the beginnings of a drunken stupor, are definitely beginning to show. "I mean. I was just readin.... and I guess I must've fallen asleep."
Alicia mmm's quietly to herself. "What was the last thing you remember while you were reading? What were ya feeling? Cold, warm? Sitting about in your undies?" She motions.
Yi keeps herself quiet now, letting Alicia work that charm. Undies indeed. Ew.
Joe shakes his head. "Aparment's too bloody hot... I don't know. I was reading something on the Electra Complex. And the..." he pauses. "I was doing Freud. That's all."
Alicia blinks. "You were -doing- Frued?" She asks cautiously. "You said he was sick?"
[What's the Electra Complex, you ask? Well... Here's a short blip quote: The electra complex is more ambiguous than the Oedipus complex. Electra is defined as the Oedipus counterpart in girls (See G.I.R.L.S.) Electra was the daughter of Agamemnon and Clytemnestra who wanted her brother to avenge their father's death by killing their mother. (See Electra) According to Freud, during the phallic stage the daughter becomes attached to her father and more hostile towards her mother. This is due mostly to the idea that the girl is "envious" of her father's penis and wants to possess it so strongly that she dreams of bearing his children, thus the term "penis-envy". This leads to resentment towards her mother, who the girl believes caused her castration. The idea that the Electra complex is referred to most of the time as "penis-envy" shows where Freud was in his thought process. He simply thinks the male psyche is the dominant entity in human relations, and that female influence is secondary. This may be due in part to his belief that girls have weaker superegos, where morality is developed and values internalized. We develop this judicial component of our personality during the phallic stage.]
"Reading," Joseph corrects distractedly. Size C distractions. "And then I fell asleep... I guess."
Alicia chuckles and leans back some, crossing her arms. "Who is Freud?"
((Yi pages to the room: In other words, Daddy's Little Girl coupled with Girl hates mommy much. ))
"Sigmund Freud, psychoanalyst who laid the foundations of psychology and specialized in the role of myth and childhood in developing the mental landscape--" Technobabble sounds even worse with the words slurred.
Yi slowly works those tired stress knots in the guy's shoulders. She glances up at Alicia and Luke, suspecting that this might be all they're going to get out of the guy. "You dream about Freud?" she asks, with a little less accent this time.
Joseph gives her an incredlous glance. "Do I look like the type? No..."
Luke laughs. "Dunno what you just said, but I'll drink to it." He raises his bottle to Joe, and downs a healthy portion of it. Best way to get someone to drink; drink a lot yourself.
Drinking, Joseph can do. Ogling cleaveage, he can do. Discussing basic psychology, he can do. But all the rest they can get from him is his address-- graduate student housing near SCCU-- before he passes out again.
((Yi pages to the room: Then, we could knock on the door, wait for footsteps, and run away?
Long distance to the room: Sekhmet laughs. Sure.

Alicia pages to the room: We can run off laughing insanely. MUuuHAHHAHAHAHA!!!! Eeeeheheeeee HAPPY HALLOWEEEEEEN!
Alicia pages to the room: Night guys!
