Harbor Park -- Fountain
Situated in the center of a large, open meadow is a clustering of six trees, a flower bed, a few steel-and-wood benches set firmly into concrete, and a flagstone courtyard that is dominated by a large fountain.
The fountain is a wide circular pool of water some fifty feet across and about five feet deep in most places. The sculpture in the center is a mix of old and new, traditional and modern: eight concrete-and-stainless-steel slabs about six feet high are set in a rough Stonehenge-like circle around the center of the fountain. Water flows from their tops, cascading in bright mesmerizing sheets to the pool below. Rising above the steel circle is a large marble statue of the Water Bearer, an androgynous figure draped in robes of flowing water. It bears a large jug carved with various Greek symbols, from which pours a seething torrent of water into the pool at its feet.
Cars on the nearby street have an excellent view of the park as do any residents of the tall buildings which line the waterfront.
The murky waters of the Columbia River flow swiftly along the east side of the park. Bracketing the park to the west is First Street and the city of St. Claire. Recent construction work is creating an earthen berm several feet high all along the borders of the park in all directions.

ManHole Harbor Park Meadow

Yi lies on her back, obscured by the bench and watching the stars. Only the sounds of the city night have been her company, as she contemplates whatever happens to be crossing her mind.

Jamethon steps forward in his usual creapily quiet and quick manner, disconcerting for the rather large and heavily muscled Get of Fenris. Eventually, stepping in closer he stands over Yi, and leans his head down to gaze down at her.

Currently the moon is in the waning Crescent Moon phase (35% full).

Distant at first, Yi doesn't blink as Jamethon blocks her view of the night sky. Then by some way, her dark eyes focus onto his face, making the lines more sharp. She blinks then, but remains wordless, letting her bland expression do the asking.

Jamethon kneels down beside her, revealing the night sky once more. "You look lost."

Yi waits for awhile before deaning to answer with a quiet, "Do I?" Still laying there, hands crossed over her abdomen, the Gnawer releases a sigh before folding up to a sit and allowing the Get to have a space on the bench. "You do not normally come calling on me, though I remember doing so to you. What is it I can help you with?"

Jamethon nods thankfully and takes the offered space on the bench, more then adequately filling it up. "Have you heard about my challenge?"

Yi watches the theurge sit, before turning her eyes elsewhere. She nods once in answer. Awfully quiet tonight, for the ragabash.

Jamethon seems to be quite short with words tonight as well, "There is opportunity there. If you are willing to take it... for revenge." He doesn't bother mentioning what the revenge is for.

"And run right back into that hellpit?" The question is tinged in a withheld anger. "What is it you need, Jamethon? Just tell me." Yi breathes out through clenching jaws, fingers curling into fists. "You want me to go fight with you? Another mission pack, with a member set for fostern, to try its hand at bringing down those bloody bastards?"

Jamethon stands and shakes his head. "Something many don't understand, is the burdens one carries prevent nothing. I don't /need/ anything Yi. I ask nothing of you. I say you do what it is /you/ need to do. I'm going to take Raptor's help and track down some Spirals. When I find them, their heads will be removed from their shoulders. If you want to be there when it happens... that is your choice."

Yi swallows down the Rage that threatens to well itself inside. Not looking up at the Get, but rather westward, her next questions are calmer. "When? And where?"

Jamethon only answers with strongly voiced but quiet words, rage kept well hidden by the Get of Fenris who has fought his entire life for such control. "Soon... and where the Raptor's wings take us."

Yi's shoulders lift as she takes in a deep breath and releases. "Find me when you are ready to go," she says quietly.

Jamethon nods and steps in a swiveling motion now, suddenly facing Yi once more. "I will... if when we go you can control yourself. I need a smart team with me. I need a ragabash who will be able to survey the enemy and return with detailed information alive. I need you not to die... because Gaia still needs you. You do not have the right to be reckless with your life. You must be a Ragabash for me. Can you do this?"

Yi jerks her eyes from the landscape to pin them onto Jamethon. For a flash, indignance and anger pass over her darkened gaze. Then she drops her gaze, clearing her throat. "You need not worry about if I can be a ragabash. I have no intention of dying."

Jamethon doesn't however, ever drop his gaze. He is challenging for Fostern for a reason, he already appears to stand like one, eyes straight and piercing. "Then with you to guide... we will be victorious. Oh... Little Bear, Julie, and Apocalypse will be joining us. Any... problem with that?"

Yi looks up again at mention of Little Bear. And Julie. Apoc? The Gnawer thinks for a halfminute, then shakes her head. "But, I do have one request." For this, she doesn't turn her eyes away.

Jamethon meets Yi evenly, "You may."

Yi straightens her sit, and then stands up. Despite her height, she isn't feeling any less tall than the Get. Her eyes glint dangerously with a newmoon's vengeance, coupled with a sharp smirk. "When we get there, I'll want souvenirs."

Jamethon grunts at this, a bit of teeth showing in the process. "I'll only need one of their heads to bring to Fenris. As long as you promise that life is more important then some kind of material vengance... no problem."

Turning, the ragabash hitches a shoulder. "What good is getting a souvenir if I'm not around to admire it?" From the corner of her eye, she eyes the Get theurge, seeing if he understands her.

Jamethon fixes Yi with a glaring eye for a long moment. "Did I rub off on you somewhere, or did you pick this up from somewhere else?"

Yi chuckles dryly. "A new-moon must have her secrets," she says lowly. Just imagine those fox ears sticking up now.

Jamethon offers a dry huff of a gut deep laugh at this. "Ok ok... where can I find you when I need you?"

Yi turns around so as to face him again, and tells Jame her apartment number and location. "Or here, the church, the woods... and if you really can't find me in the city, look up."

Jamethon looks up, then nods understanding and regards some nearby rooftops. "I'll find you... I'm sure. And with you... I think this mission pack is complete. We aren't all combat monsters. We are, however, all smart... we are all capable. We are all survivors of dead friends we can learn from. We'll make it through this, not through the pureness of martiality, but through tenacity of spirit, the strength of Fenris, and the Heart of Gaia."

Yi draws her lips into a smile, tight as it is. The Gnawer then bows her head once, turning on her heel and starts walking back off into the city streets. Indeed, they'll get through it.
