Grotto(#2863RJ)
The woods part suddenly, here, amidst the quiet roar of falling water. A wide stream spills over the edge of a rocky face that is the western edge of a hill some thirty feet high. The stones are worn smooth with the passing of time, and are slick with moisture and soft mosses, but a climb up the drier rocks would not be impossible, and there is a sense of space behind the falls.
A wide pool has been carved into the earth by the rushing waters, and the tall trees have grown out around it, sheltering the grotto in a pleasantly-cool shade. Rocks, hewn from the cliff face and shouldered along the path of the stream, form a rough ring around the edge of the pool and guide the flow of water further westwards, again deeper into the woods. All manner of animal tracks are visible in the sandier areas of shore; the trees crouch close against the edge of the stream again as it passes further west, muting the dull thunder of the falls.
Faint trails, between the trees, lead off in all directions, while a determined climb eastwards would crest the rock face.

Eamon shrugs. "Yeah, well, we'll see. I'll have to meet the right girl." He grins.

"Good," Megan says, standing not far from Eamon, facing him with her arms crossed over her chest. "Then I'll see if anyone responds to my call, and we can introduce you if so."

Eamon furrows his brows. "What? What call? you're not trying to hook me up with someone, are you?"

"Why not?" Comes the silver laugh of Alicia as she waddles along side Yi, heading into the grotto with a big grin on her face. Galliard's got sharp ears it seems. At least when it comes to gossip and /dating/. "Eamon, you looking to get a hookup?"

Eamon rolls his eyes. "Please. I can hook up perfectly well on my own, thanks."

Three-Blades limps alongside the Coggie galliard, the big hispo having cleaned up some from her injuries. She looks rather wary for one who is in such a calm place. The obvious reason? Respecting territory.

"You're pushing thirty, Eamon," Mean comments drily, "and belong to a race that doesn't have a long life span. Yes, I am going to be trying to hook you up with someone. If I'm going to ride Taslyn for it, it's about damn time someone rode *you* about it." She then looks over to greet Alicia with a smile, the smile fading into curiousity as she spies the injured hispo Bone Gnawer beside her. "Hey, Alicia. Yi," she says, giving the cliath a nod before throwing Alicia a querying look.

"You can't hook up by yourself Eamon. Look, I got a /lot/ of friends, who I'm sure would go for a hot ragey stud like you in the sack." Alicia says with a wink and a grin, bumping her hip and shoulder up against his. "Good going Megan, make him spread his seed. If I gotta have a kid, so does he." She rubs her stomach a bit, then smiles down at the Hispo. "I brought Yi here to meet up with you two."

Eamon covers his eyes with his hand and shakes his head. "Oh, Christ, what the fuck am I getting myself into?"

Three-Blades dips her head once, rumbling a ~Rhyas.~ Bite marks, a formerly shredded right hind leg, old scars, and other things make up Yi's fuzzy appearance. A faint ear-twitch of amusement passes sparingly, considering the conversation she stepped in on.

"Kids," Megan says evenly, but there's also a note of command behind it as she turns back to answer Eamon, then looks back between galliard and cliath. "Oh? What's up?" she asks, especially noticing Three-Blades's wounds.

Alicia smiles and glances down to the Hispo, then grins slightly. "Well, I think she can tell you that."

Eamon thanks Gaia for a change of subject as Yi arrives. "Holy shit, what happened to you?"

Three-Blades glances once at Alicia, her fur rising and falling in a wave that passes over her spine. ~Attacked at the northern bawn in the Shadow,~ the Gnawer explains to the Sept Alpha, noticing the adren's eyes on her. ~Sings-to-Spirits and I fought. Small, furry things, lots of teeth. Sings-to-Spirits is at the caern now. There are more -- we didn't get them all.~ She earflattens at that, ashamed. Another glance to Alicia though, and the ragabash adds in completely off that line, ~But I am here to talk with you about your pack...~

Megan scowls darkly. "I assume he's looking for Seeker to tell him?"

Alicia crosses her arms over her chest as she glances over to the Gnawer, then back to the Alpha.

Three-Blades chuffs an affirmative to the Alpha. ~We called, but could not wait. Sings-to-Spirits doesn't have the Wyld-Calling gift, I think.~ An ear splays with doubt, discomfort vaguely spread through her frame as she looks back to Alicia with a 'you sure about this?' kind of gaze.

Eamon says "Oh, so was that what the revel was about? Huh." He nods to Yi. "Go on.""
Three-Blades shakes her head at Eamon in the human gesture. ~No, this was last night. Not the Revel. This is a different enemy.~

Megan's scowl deepens, but then sighs sharply. "Hopefully Trevor is finding Seeker, then. So, what did you want to speak of about Resonance?"

Three-Blades again tilts her ears back submissively. ~To find out more, about myself and others.~ She shifts her weight, still keeping a majority of it off her hind leg. ~Guards-Flame and I have been together in a pack, two times under Roach and under Rat. Though Fights-For-Hope has also asked me about packing with Scourge, I feel... like I should find out more about Echo.~

Eamon blinks at Three-Blades, then at Megan. "Echo? You mean us?"

Alicia grins slightly. "I think she means us." She nudges Eamon again.

"Echo is the closest translation in lupus to 'Resonance', Eamon," Megan notes absently, her attention primarily on Three-Blades, eyes narrowed and thoughtful. "As in, interested in joining us?" she asks the Gnawer.

Eamon says "Oh. I guess that makes sense."

Three-Blades clearly remains undecided on answering that question with yes or no. ~Guards-Flame has told me some, but,~ the Gnawer's tail swishes, ~the important thing is the feeling of bond to the pack, and to totem. I know little about either Echo or Scourge's totems - and their members.~

Megan is silent for several seconds as if examining the Bone Gnawer ragabash, but then gives a minute dip of her head. "Well," she begins thoughtfully, "you obviously know Alicia rather well. We follow Stag, who is a totem of respect, a finder of the lost and of the proper paths. Resonance was founded to be a pack of communications, of stories and news, a bridge between the Garou of the woods and those of the city." She pauses, then grins thinly. "And I *had* wanted a packmate either of the Glass Walkers or the Bone Gnawers."

Eamon says "Well, we're basically trying to improve communications with the city and the woods. We follow Stag, which is also the Fianna tribal totem. Our territory is over in Kent Crossing.""

Eamon adds, "And Stag asks his children to be nice to faeries and help them out whenever they need it." He shoots a significant look toward Megan.

Three-Blades looks unsure whether or not to return the thin smile from Megan, though she has the gears knocking about in her head. Her eyes stray to Eamon. ~Crossing is far from the city,~ she replies with some doubt. ~Then again, I was a sister of Salmon for a long time.~ At that her ears tilt forward, the ragabash remembering some fonder memories of the past. She sits, albeit with some painful winces. ~I admit I am wary of being a pack with Fights-For-Hope. Especially, when his pack members seem to be all Get, and Silver Fang.~ An ear splays, as one could imagine the look of uncertainty in that future. More important things slip into the Gnawer's mind, though. She sits up some more. ~And I am of first rank, still. You have a no-moon in your pack already.~

Eamon waves a hand at Three-Blades dismissively. "Pshaw. We could always use another one. We don't mind another Cliath or no-moon in the pack. And you're good, you've done a lot of stuff. A Gnawer ragabash in the city can find out lots of stuff, dig up lots of dirt."

Alicia smirks slightly. "She hasn't done just some stuff, she has done a /lot/ of stuff for us the past couple of years and quite a few of my stories have the 'untouchable' Three-Blades in it. Like the time when that bane was attacking the Sept, the one with all the razor blades and buzz saws. She didn't get touched once. Everyone else fell bleeding and moaning, missing limbs. She instead danced her way around it, hacking and taunting the creature until it tired." She grins.

Megan smiles thinly again, and adds, "And I can imagine you wouldn't want to join Scourge given what happened to you in December." But her eyes narrow briefly, then relax. "I would want to check with Dakota, first, have you meet her, but if she's okay with it, you can run with us for...let's say a month? And if after that time, if you're good with us, and we're good with you, we can ask you in formally. That is," she says, suddenly turning cautious, "if you think a Bone Gnawer ragabash would be okay following a totem known much for Honor. Sound fair?"

Three-Blades's ears swing up in surprise at the Coggie galliard. The ragabash, for a moment just unable to say anything in rebuttal, instead lowers her muzzle slightly with embarrassment. ~There were many in that fight who brought the monster down,~ she whuffs in mild protest, and now especially looking behind her at her healing leg. ~And all that good luck is used up now.~ Though, secretly she counts herself lucky to have survived that last fight. Gaze turning back to Megan, the ragabash considers the deal. ~They did as they thought right,~ she rumbles quietly, remembering Luke and Leonard. ~But... your idea... is good.~

Eamon says "Sheesh, wouldja stop bein' so down on yourself? You're tryin' to impress a coupla Fianna here. You gotta brag and boast and exaggerate, even."

Alicia snorts slightly. "That has always been Yi's issue. She doesn't seem to think saving lives and saving the world is something to pat herself on the back about." She grins.

Megan smirks at her packmate's words, and adds, "And don't talkback when a Galliard is singing your praises. It's what they're born to do. You don't want to belittle Luna's choice, do you?" she asks wryly. Alicia, at least, can tell that she is teasing.

Three-Blades blinks at the Fianna raggie, then at Alicia, then to Megan. This Gnawer just wasn't brought up in that sort of boasting environ, in essence. Though, you'd think she'd learn by now. ~I will remember that,~ she replies to her elders, even if her tone and posture show that she'll have awhile before she can get used to boasting about her exploits.

Alicia grins slightly as she leans over and nudges the Ragabash gently on the shoulder, chuckling. "C'mon sis, look happy for a change, eh'?" She says with a smile. "You fought great last night."

Megan snorts, and shakes her head with bemusement. "Or at least lighten up, some. According to some people at this Sept, I'm supposed to have the market cornered on dour and bitchy," she says with a smile.

Three-Blades shivers once, her fur settling after the slight ruffle. She looks about the grotto, and finally sighs out. With effort, she forces happy thoughts into her head. She's alive and healing. She's wanted by others. She's even admired in the way that there's at least one galliard who tells stories about her victories. ~...There were at least twenty between Sings-to-Spirits and I. We were lucky, but... I must admit he and I fought well.~ Her eyes gaze towards the members of Resonance, looking a little hopeful. ~And there shouldn't be that many left to hunt down.~ For a moment, her frame goes very still. Then her forepaw sets onto the ground in a determined thud, ears snapping upright. ~And I -will- become Fostern. Soon.~

Alicia grins a bit wider and leans over, ruffling up the Gnawer's ears once more. "Good! Of course you will, because you kick ass and you've done a lot. You just need to realize that for yourself."

Megan's eyes narrow briefly. "Sounds like I'm going to need to track down Trevor, then, too," she says somewhat to herself, then smiles, saying louder, "If you really have done that much, then you should. I'm sure Alicia would be more than glad to spread your Renown around." She takes in a deep breath, then lets it out. "You want to go down to Kent Crossing with us and learn the territory? At least the Realm side?"

Three-Blades, with newfound determination, struggles up onto all four paws. Her muzzle nudges Alicia once, thanking her silently before she turns to the Alpha. ~Thank you Alpha, but I feel I should return to the Bawn.~

Alicia smirks slightly. "I think her renown has been spread, over and over and over.." She says with a grin, giving her another nudge.

Megan jerks her chin up. "Very well. Maybe tomorrow night. Gaia watch over you, Yi," she says, with a warm smile and sounding like she means it.

Three-Blades dips her head once respectfully, before butting her head playfully at the Coggie galliard. ~You will embarrass me to the grave one day,~ she rumbles jokingly, before turning to leave the grotto.
