Logfile from GarouMUSH.

Currently the moon is in the waning Gibbous Moon phase (66% full).

Apt. 15(#2604RJh)
The apartment is muted in color, sporting cool blue Christmas lights that blink against the walls occassionally. Most of the mess that was within these walls is cleared to an extent of fair cleanliness. Furniture, it seems, is decidedly lacking save for lumpy beanbags and a puke-colored green Lay-Z-Boy gotten from the Goodwill store. There is a table, but it is a compilation of boxes, a couple of empty metal kegs and a sturdy plank of wood. The entire collection sprawls in a half-circle facing the small color TV and built in VCR, which perches against the wall atop a large metal keg. Its antenna sport aluminum wrapping, curled in some places for better reception. Below that, a Sega Dreamcast and its controllers sit neatly in a small box with games partitioned within it. The other side of the apartment contains boxes, some empty and some not. Set atop them is an old radio. Somehow, the emptiness of the apartment is still set off by little decorations and Stuff set strategically around and on the fuzzy brown carpet that sports a few cuts and scars. Amidst it all, a stamped-on smileyface rug greets the occupants and offers them to Have a Nice Day. (+view for rooms)

Out

Yi sits on the floor, surrounded by clippings of the recent tabloids that've come out with news of werewolves in the woods. More importantly, she's watching the TV where various channel flipping has brought no news aside from recent gang warfare and murders in St. Claire.

Eve knocks at the front door, then steps back and waits for an answer. Along with her regular clothes today, she is wearing one of those circular sun hats, discoloured and shoved firmly over her ears.

Yi glances up at the door knocking, and then quickly shuffles papers together. In her haste, she cuts herself on the sharp edge of a clipping and winces, but continues to make the room relatively clean of tabloid, and files all the articles away into the kitchen. Then, with a 'Just a Moment!' call, she gives her cut finger a squeeze, unlocks the three locks on her door, and opens the door. "Re... Eve. Hello," she says, surprised to see the theurge.

"Afternoon," Eve greets softly. "Mind if I come in?"

Yi shakes her head, stepping aside for a moment to let the theurge in. Her eyes automatically check outside the door to see whether anyone is watching, though for now there's hardly any danger of that. Yet. After closing the door behind them both, she motions towards the beat up couch. "Please, have a seat. What brings you here?"

Eve shrugs and removes the sun hat, revealing a bandaged left ear, as she takes a seat. "Was wandering through the area."

Yi glances briefly at the ear, but takes her curious eyes away from it out of politeness. "You, ah, want something to drink? Water, tea, soda... beer?" Yes, Yi has beer. As she passes by the television, it's turned down in volume to nothing but a small background ambience. The no-moon's eyes go towards the kitchen. Maybe she's thinking of getting a drink herself.

Eve runs a hand over her flattened hair, little spikes coming back in to existance. "Sure. Why not. Been awhile since I've had a beer."

Yi nods some, going to the kitchen. The pop of an opened bottle, and the sound of running water into a kettle are heard, along with a click of the stovetop being turned on and the kettle set. The ragabash returns with the opened bottle of Budweiser, offering it over. "Please." Then, she moves to sit along the left side of the theurge on the couch.

Eve accepts the beer and takes a swig. savouring the taste, before swallowing it down. "Thanks. What have you been up too, since making your own re-appearance?" Eve asks, while turning to face the Ragabash.

Yi glances sideways at Eve, before turning her gaze to the television. "Nothing, really." Her eyes narrow slightly. Her discomfort around the theurge has risen ever since the previous encounters she had with her. "Have you seen the tabloids? Werewolves in the woods. I worry for us in the city. It's going to cause trouble."

Eve hmms and huffs out a soft breath, then wets her lips with some more beer. "Yes, I've seen that stuff. Olga is making a werewolf suit, for the cops to find. Have some people working on it online. I contacted someone I know in the police. We're trying to cover our bases." Another gulp of beer, then the Theurge frowns, while staring down at the bottle. "You know, its intresting. Sitting on the outside and looking in."

Yi furrows her brow at that. "On the outside, looking in? What do you mean?" A bit relieved that Olga's making a costume, the ragabash nods slowly. "I don't think the police will get involved, but it's possible."

Eve gives her head a light shake. "Nothing. Just thinking. Mostly just asked him to keep an eye out for things. Just incase."

Yi again turns her gaze towards the kitchen, as the kettle starts to whistle. "Please excuse me," she says softly, rising to make her tea. A little clinking of cups later, she returns with some fresh tea in mug. "Who's your contact with the police?" she asks, sitting back down on the couch.

"Old friend," Eve offers as an answer. "He is reliable, but not all that big on too many people knowing about him."

Yi considers who she knows who might be a policeman. No one, really. Her contacts are gangsters or Garou, or both. "Not the Ratkin?"

Eve shakes her head. "No. THey're not well suited to that kind of work, anyway. Too close to the Wyld."

Yi hms and sips her tea. "I suppose not." She sets the mug down and then turns to the theurge. "We got revenge for Craig. The gang that killed him is gone. But, I guess you know that already."

Eve drains off the last of her beer, then puts the bottle on the floor. "Yea, I know. At the warf."

Yi squeezes her knee, perhaps out of frustration and awkwardness. "Then, I have question to ask you... what made you come back?"

"I never intended to /not/ come back," Eve answers truthfully.

Yi considers that answer. "But, why the name change? And theurge? Perhaps you're more fit for a theurge, because I don't understand how you think." She admits this freely, and the frustration of it as well.

Eve looks over at Yi breifly, and her expression is one of study. Actually, its downright creepy. There is little emotion in those eyes, guarded and flat. "You're asking a very rude question, but I'll answer it anyway. Renee, in all ways that really mattered, died. She fell apart on the inside and she really wasn't the same person, once she managed to piece everything back together."

"Rude is sometimes necessary," Yi replies matter-of-factly, not backing down this time from the spinetingling feeling of being examined by the theurge. "You say 'I never intended to /not/ come back', but the you that left is not the you that returned, and yet are still in some ways the same." The no-moon shrugs to mask the feeling of a shiver coming upon her, and picks her teamug back up. "I don't know how to regard you. How to greet you. How to be 'family' to you. We were once packmates, too, but no longer. How could I treat you as a stranger? That, is rudeness."

Eve snorts softly and looks down at her mangled hand. "Renee was different, even before she left. Most refused to see, or simply were not around enough to notice."

Yi sips again, nursing the mug in her hands. "Of course 'she' was different. I was different. For a while. But she... you... tch. It's so bloody complicated." Putting the mug onto the makeshift table, she stands up and paces a few steps away. "So, what will you do now? Work your way back to fostern rank? Join a pack?"

Eve shrugs. "Don't know yet," the Theurge answers truefully enough. "Things are diffrent now. Being in a pack would require more trust then I am willing to give out right now. A Fostern is a leader - and I am not a leader."

Yi nods slowly, gazing at the TV screen again. "Do you not think it frustrating? Not to have a clear goal?" It's after she asks the question does she remember that Eve is now a theurge. It's like asking a Gazer if he likes puzzles. "I mean, do you have any projects, perhaps? Things you need help with?"

Eve shakes her head. "Nothing that isn't a one-person job."

Yi hms at that, and nods. "Well then," she utters, "I apologize for the earlier rudeness." She gazes at the theurge, an expression of slightly warmer acknowledgement on her features. "I guess it's best to start over."

Eve smiles a bit. "Yea, well, thats the general idea."

"That is a weight from my shoulders," Yi says with a short sigh of relief when she sees the slight smile from Eve. "Say - you want to get some food? I'm not particularly in the mood for cooking, but I was thinking of getting something."

Eve shoves that hat back onto her head, hiding that bandaged ear. "Sure. Only if you have the money for two. I'm kinda broke."

Yi pats a random spot on her body, probably where the money she carries is secured. "That is something you don't need to worry about. The raid on the factory was more rewarding than in just a feeling of vengeance carried out." The Gnawer no-moon pushes off from the TV, leaving the mug on the table and motioning towards the door. "You decide where to eat - today it will be my treat."
