Zoo - Main Building(#2634RAJh)
The doors to this squat, ugly, single-story, 3,000 square foot cinder block building were stolen long ago. The main doorway has been replaced with thick piece of plywood, warped by weather, time, and decorated with the spray painted words "Rat's Home". The plywood covering really doesn't fit the doorway all that well and one can wriggle past fairly easily, to gain entrance to the building.
The entire place is dark, devoid of water and electricity. All the toilets have been stolen, leaving the building's two bathrooms little more then sad stall-filled rooms, which are surprisingly popular with the local rodent population. All in all, there are about ten offices and what used to be a lunch room within the giant cinder block. Some of the rooms have been blocked off with hanging blankets, while other remain open and show a varying assortment of old mattresses, blankets, and seemingly useless junk. The whole place smells of musty, rotting cloth, and unwashed bodies. The only saving graces to this place are the building's roof, which doesn't seem to leak, the windows in the outer rooms, which save the building from being pitch black inside rather than just dark, and the privacy from the outside, fenced off city.

A feast, after a fashion, has been assembled on top of a makeshift table in the middle of the main entry hall. Bottles of Coke, Sprite and assorted, more esoteric flavors are set at one side. To the other side, a few McDonalds bags, a couple of grease-marked pizza boxes, and a small array of potato and nacho chips sit. Cups and plates have been provided, as well as napkins, though none are the same size, or have the same design. Craig is seated on a stack of blankets to the right. Squeaks-Like-a-Rat is on the floor nearby, brutalizing a rawhide bone.
The blanket setting apart Olga's room from the hallway is rudely thrust aside, and out tumbles a sleepy Gnawer, scratching at her stomach. She yawns a few times as her naked feet take her stumbling over what trash is left in the hallway towards the main room, and when she arrives, with sleep-filled eyes she surveys the place, glances at Craig and Squeaks, and fixes her eyes on the food. A slight rumble escapes from her belly, which hasn't been fed its breakfast yet. "What's the big occasion?" Olga inquires groggily, before remembering, putting her hand behind her neck and stretching. "Oh, right," she mumbles with a grin at Craig, legs taking her almost uncommanded over to the food table.
Raul shuffles in from the main hallway, a quiet and unassuming presence. Having been away a lot lately, patrolling the umbra, it's a wonder he's remembered to come back for the meeting....probably the promise of food.
Yi soon arrives at the appointed time and place, carrying gingerly with her one of those large aluminum trays that seems able to serve 30 to 50 if you heap it with enough food. Smells like Chinese, and indeed it is. "Not late am I?" She searches out a bit of room on the table, digging in her shoulderbag to produce paper plates and plastic utensils.
Heading inside after Yi, is Alicia, having been invited earlier in the week. Its probably one of the rare times she can actually see the pack together. She wiggles her fingers to everyone, then takes a seat off in the back, flopping on the ground.
Craig shakes his head to Yi. "Nah," he replies, pushing himself to his feet and giving a welcoming nod to each of his tribesmates in turn. There's a definite touch of nervousness to his demeanor as he helps Yi find room for the food. Squeaks gives a shrill, happy yip as her aunties and uncle show up, the toy temporarily forgotten as she crawls over to greet them.
Olga hovers over the centre table, looking at the food with wide eyes, hands shoved in her pockets. When Yi and Alicia enter, they get a broad smile exposing slightly-yellowed teeth, though whether it's directed at them or the food Yi's carrying is difficult to say. Turning around to reach out for a bag of chips, she spies Raul, and gives him something like a military salute, chip bag still in hand. She snags a bottle of some carbonated liquid, she's not even quite sure what it is, and heads off to her crate, sitting herself snugly down on it.
Yi makes a note in passing, "Lyra is looking after Yellow River, so she'll have to get news of this afterwards." Without invitation, she starts heaping food onto an empty plate, glancing occassionally at Squeaks, seemingly trying to determine if the cub is partial to cooked foods. She turns and waves at Alicia, offering her a first servings.
Raul shuffles over towards Squeaks, shifting up into Crinos and picking up the baby mule, nuzzling her ears in a familiar greeting. To everyone else, he offers a nod or short growl of greetings, tail swaying slightly behind him.
Alicia chuckles and waves off Yi. "It's cool. This is ya'll's moot. I'm just hanging about to catch up and what not, and see the entire pack under one roof for a change." She says, tilting her head and leaning back against the wall, drawing a knee to her chest. "I'm just here to listen."
Craig licks his lips, watching the other Gnawers get food together. He pulls a slice of pizza out of the box and considers the pop for a moment before shaking his head. Taking a bite of the pizza, he chews and swallows, waiting for the others to start settling. The boy smiles at Squeaks and Raul, then clears his throat lightly, apparently giving a signal that he's ready to start.
Olga looks down at what she has assembled before her, and returns from her seat to the food table for a second trip. A cup and a plateful of Chinese, warily removed from Yi's aluminium container, is prepared, and sniffed at gingerly. "Be patient," she murmurs at Craig's signal, "'m hungry." A searching gaze peers over the table, and she decides to take a slice of pizza as well, before returning to her seat, sitting nicely down, and giving Craig a wave.
Fixes-Stuff settles down with Squeaks, keeping her occupied and smiling lupinely at Craig, nodding his agreement and lapsing into silence, save for soft growly noises to keep the mule occupied.
Yi offers again to Alicia, just in case the smell of 'home-cooked noodles and eggrolls' changes her mind. If not, well, then the plate goes on to the cub. Or Raul, whichever feels the hunger to eat. At Craig's signal, she pauses just as she's putting on a plate to serve herself. Her expression is attentive.
Craig reddens slightly when Olga gives her mild chastisement, then shakes his head. "Nah, nah, just finish up what you were doin'. Sorry," he says to Yi and Olga, taking another bite of the pizza. "Thought you were ready t'go," he mumbles around a mouthful of food. He picks up a bottle of pop and takes a swig to wash down the pizza.
Olga unscrews the cap of her soda, creating a loud hissing sound, and pours herself a cup. She chuckles slightly and shakes her head. "Go ahead, Craig, go ahead. 'M sorry, don' mind me," she enjoins him, as she carefully measures out the proper amount of black liquid.
"There never was a real etiquette to our family's gatherings," Yi also adds in with a faint smile, hoping this will give Craig some courage.
The Child of Gaia offers up another smile towards Yi, then settles back, simply content in watching and learning.
Craig cracks a grin at that, ducking his head and nodding to both. The bottle he was holding goes back on the table, which he steps to the side of. He takes a moment to recollect himself from that moment of embarrassment, downs another bite of pizza, then gets another quick look in at the assembled Garou. "Aight, so uh, we're all here t'talk 'bout th' Eldership, 'n' where we're takin' th' tribe next. Lotta stuff's goin' on. So...might as well get th' big one over first." He contemplates the floor for a moment, then looks back at the others. "Before 'Nee took off, she left me in charge of th' family. So that's what I've been doin', 'r tryin' t'do, fer the last while. Figured, though, after I got a sorta-Challenge from Lyra, that I should open it up t'th' tribe. So...here we are. Uh...anybody have anythin' t'say 'bout that?"
Olga sets down the pop bottle, and scratches at her hair just underneath her 'kerchief. She takes a sip from her cup and watches Craig gather himself, and then begins to eat, biting at the pizza first. She looks around herself, at the others, Yi and Raul, curiously, not wanting to speak first, for a change.
Yi sets her serving down, but doesn't prepare to eat yet. Her thoughts are turning, obviously. "What do you have that Lyra does not?"
Craig's eyes flick to Yi. "Got a good idea 'bout what we need t'do t'get back on our feet, 'n' 'bout how t'get it done. Dunno if she does. I want t'get us back inta things, 'cause lately we've just been gettin' tossed from bad shit t'bad shit." He looks to Olga, then back to Yi again. "'M ready t'work as hard as I need to t'make sure th' family stays on it's feet. 'M always around, 'n' I don't have a lotta other things t'worry 'bout, 'side from the tribe."
Olga's eyes dart about, to Yi, then Craig, then to her pizza. Yi, Craig, pizza. When Craig finishes, she nods a bit, and keeps her eyes on Yi.
Alicia reaches over and snatches up an egg roll, taking a quick bite and chewing thoughtfully as she listens, glancing to the members of the Gnawers.
Yi nods at Craig's response, thoughtful on his answer. "Part of the job is forming bonds with other tribes as well. I fear, with Renee's Satire Rite still in mind, the others may not take us seriously. And, our auspice also."
Alicia clears her throat slightly after Yi's words.
Craig glances at Alicia, eyebrows rising a bit, then licks his lips. "If y'got somethin' t'toss in, Alicia, go ahead," he says, scratching behind his ear. "I was plannin' on meetin' with th' elders of th' other tribes personally, t'try t'get across that we're workin' t'change. Was also thinkin', actions speak louder'n words. We clean up our own shit, crack down on th' city's monsters 'n' shit, we prove we're not th' screwups they think we are."
Olga takes a bit of her pizza, she's down to the crust now. "Lyra was Jackalled too," she says quietly, and then, more loudly, little bits of burnt dough flying out of her mouth, "'nd fuck the other Tribes. Those 'at are worth the bother 've put this behind 'em. The hell cares what they think? Not worth cowin' for their favour."
Alicia raises up a pair of fingers, then grins faintly. "I know I'm not a Gnawer, but as the pack leader, I've been repp'n us over there at the Caern and what not, working with the other Garou. I don't think you got much to worry about. Everyone is cool with it, ya'know? Only real honor expunged was Renee's, and she did the big lying. They are all in agreement, at least the big wigs are, that we were just protecting our sister, out of love and loyalty, and fear for the child's safety. It's all good, and I think some appearances out there, would do the tribe, and pack good, and it'd show that ya'll aren't laying on your back, that you guys are still in the game and still give a shit about everything. I think Megan is more worried of the fact I'm the only face popping up and around, and there has been a qusetion of Harano."
Yi turns her eyes over to Olga first, narrowing slightly as Olga's fuck'em attitude shows itself. Alicia's answer is a bit more soothing on the ragabash's indignance. "Whether or not we listen to the other tribes is vital for our connections to the Sept and the Caern." Turning back to Craig, she considers his words again. "What did you have in mind?"
"Start with personal meetings," Craig says, jaw tightening a bit. "Talk t'as many as I can. I know people like Signe-rhya 'r prolly gonna just gonna tell me t'fuck off, but th' point is t'just show we're tryin'. Get one 'r more Gnawers on th' Bawn more often, maybe pick up a month of guard duty. Show that we're still here, still part of th' Sept, like y'said Alicia. Been tryin' t'get in t'talk t'Megan 'bout what we c'n do out there." He exhales, eyes skipping from Yi to Raul to Alicia. "Then, get R.A.T. out on th' streets again. Show us doin' shit. Hunt down that leech-gang, find out once 'n' fer all what th' hell's goin' on with that apartment building. That sorta stuff."
Olga continues brooding a little, but rouses herself fairly quickly, putting the last bit of crust in her mouth. She listens carefully but says nothing.
Yi bristles involuntarily at the mention of leeches as a gut reflex. Shaking her head quickly to clear it, she wets her lips and nods at Craig's ideas. "I could take up Guardian duty for a few months," she says. To redeem herself, she muses.
Alicia clears her throat lightly. "I've taken up the role of Groundskeeper in an unofficial manner, and have been teaching some of the cubs out there. I'd be nice to see some of my family out there with me."
Craig takes another bite of pizza, chewing slowly. "I'm aimin' t'spend more time out there, too," he says. "C'n prolly pick up a week 'r so, at least." He looks back to Alicia, then swallows. "That's th' other thing I want t'do. Get every Gnawer inta a pack. More exposure t'other tribes, 'n' it shows we're dedicated t'more'n ourselves." He walks over to the drinks and gets a swig of pop. "S'not really a problem fer everyone here, but s'somethin' we need ta keep up. Unity, not just with th' family, but with everyone else too. I know I sound like one of yers, 'Licia-rhya, but s'what we need right now."
"You are one of mine." Alicia points out with a grin. "Just cuz you claimed Gnawers, doesn't make your true tribal blood different."
Yi furrows her brow there, glancing in Olga's direction and then back to Craig. Every Gnawer in a pack... the no-moon runs through her list of names.
Olga starts into her Chinese food, picking at it with her fork, sniffing and peering at it. Alicia's comment draws a curious and puzzled look. "You were a Coggie, Craig?" she asks him, apparently surprised. "And, uh, Yi," Olga asks, hesitantly, not looking at her, poking at her food, "what is this?"
Craig smiles back to Alicia. "People keep remindin' me," he says, nodding a yes to Olga's inquiry. "Born 'n' bred." He steps out from behind the table, turning the crust of his slice of pizza over and over in his hands. "So. Y'have other concerns? Anythin' else anyone needs t' know from me?"
Yi blinks back to Olga. "Combination chow mein," she replies quickly as if it were an order she cooks up on a daily basis. "Beef, pork, chicken, some shrimp, with sliced vegetables and fried noodle." A pause. "Is there something not good about it?" She tastes her own plate of food, testingly.
Fixes-Stuff remains mostly quiet in his corner, keeping Squeaks occupied so Craig can talk without his daughter demanding attention. He doesn't seem to have much to add for himself, merely listening to other folk speak for the moment.
Olga smiles a little guiltily. "Uh, no, I, uh, jus', 'm used to borscht bein' my `ethnic` food 's all," she says, nodding a few times obligingly. She tries a forkful of slippery noodles, and smiles broadly, somewhat artificially. "It's good," she assures the woman, nodding a few more times. "Uh," she says, turning quickly to Craig, "yeah, what about Squeaks. Y' talked to Meg? We can' keep her here."
Yi looks better, now that Olga hasn't gone and thrown noodles at her like a memorably irate customer from the Tin Yen. She takes to eating her noodles quickly, though discreetly. In question of Squeaks, she also looks to Craig. "So far so good," she notes, "no one has discovered the Zoo to be our new hiding spot. But, I still feel wary of the security here."
Craig takes a curious look back at the bin of food Yi brought, then finishes off his pizza in two bites. Another drink, and he's ready to speak again. "Was gettin' t'that. Haven't been able t'get ahold of Megan yet, like I said, so we can't take her out to th' bawn right away." His gaze snaps to the pup, then back to the assembly. "We were thinkin' that we should take Squeaks out to th' caern, put her up in the Sept Compound fer awhile, or maybe fer more than awhile. Until we know who owns the Zoo, 'n' if we're gonna get invaded by th' cops, she could be a big Veil breach if we're not ready fer that kinda problem."
Olga eats more of her chow mein, having a little difficulty manoeuvring the plastic fork to spear the slippery noodles. Olga looks up and around, noodle dangling from her lips, and says, "I's thinkin', maybe, we could find a Fostern Metis somewhere, t' dig us some tunnels. Heard they got a Gift t' do that, plus, it'll show the Sept maybe 'at Metis aren' all bad 'nd all. If we had a tunnel leadin' out somewhere, we might be able t' keep Squeaks here, 'nd all," she suggests, turning back to her noodles.
Yi nods at the idea, although her approval or disapproval doesn't show. "The Sept Compound used to be a training area and housing for cubs too, wasn't it?" Here she glances briefly towards Alicia, before looking back to her tribemates. "This sept has been most accepting of metis born. Kaz-rhya, Sepdet-rhya..."
"I was raised in the compound as a cub during the final leg of my training. It is probably the perfect place to keep the child. Its away from the farmhouse, and near the Caern. It is also where the Guardian's would moot." Alicia says, lending some wisdom to the group. "I don't see why it would be a problem in having a Metis there. We recently have taken in a Wendigo Metis cub from another Sept, who is going to Rite in three months and is under Jacinta's care."
Yi, apparently having missed these new folk because of her lack of bawn visitation, simply looks blank at the named. She does look pleased, though, to hear that there are new Wendigo.
Olga looks around herself at the othes. "Yeah?" she asks, curiously, and announces, "well, my Sept wasn' much on Metis." Olga looks at Alicia, a little concerned, "I think I met her. Scrawny, sickly lookin' kid? She ain' ready to Rite in three months, too much 'f a temper on 'er. The fuck's with people wantin' to get rid 'f their Cubs around here?" she asks in frustration, before realizing she's gotten far off topic, and turning back to Craig.
"A Gnawer 'r member of R.A.T.'d always be with Squeaks, t'keep her from gettin' away, 'n' t'keep her safe 'n' distracted," Craig says, bringing them back on track. Scratching at his chin, he gives the chinese food another curious look. Giving in to temptation, he dishes himself out a plate. "Was also gonna offer that th' pup would only eat what Gnawers can get for her, keep her our burden 'n' not th' Sept's," he says over his shoulder.
"Sounds good," Yi says though with a touch of wariness to her statement. If she remembers, Leonard wasn't exactly keen on metis. "As long as she can be taken care of, then the only burden on the Sept would be keeping her on the bawn."
Olga nods a few times. "A'right, then," she asks, taking another forkful of food, "that settled?"
Craig stands straight and gives the group another once-over, grabbing a fork. "'M sure we c'n figure out how t'work off that, too," he says, in response to Yi. He eats a quick forkful of noodles and meat. "So. Anyone else want t'present their case fer eldership?"
Yi finishes the last of her small portion, licking her lips. "I do not object to it. You seem to have a good head, and good idea of what you want to do. But, if Lyra is still going to challenge you, it would be known I may end up supporting her if she can bring her side strongly."
Olga looks around at everyone. "Julie'd said she was interested, saw 'er, ah, a couple 'f days ago. Said she was gonna wait a bit, first, see how y' do. Seein' as she's not here, though, guess maybe she's gone back t' whatever the hell it is she's doin'," Olga announces for them. She says nothing more than that, only giving Craig a nod.
Yi tilts her head at mention of Julie, accompanied with a reminiscence of a smile. "Julie. I wonder if she still volunteers at that..." the ragabash trails a moment and then gets back on track. "And aside from Olga," she gives a respectful nod to the theurge, "perhaps Julie and Bernie are the only Bone Gnawers without a pack."
"Bernie even alive?" Alicia asks absently from the back.
Craig nods as both women speak, then, finally, kicks his pile of blankets over and grabs a seat on the floor. "S'right. If anyone sees 'em 'fore I do, think y'can pass along th' message t'try t'find one?" he says, forking up a new mouthful of noodles. "'N'...yeah, who's Bernie? Don't think I met her 'fore, when I was here."
Olga glances at Yi, and then smiles at her, and smile which quickly breaks and becomes awkward. "I got a pack," she answers. "Me 'nd Layne and Helen. We, ah, we wen' to look f'r Chimera, but 're still waitin' for 'er to get back to us. If, ah, 'f she doesn' want us, we'll find somebody else. I got a pack," Olga says confidently.
Yi looks towards Alicia with concern, as if there may have been something she'd missed. "Well, I have not received news that she's dead," she replies. Olga's statement gets the theurge another quirked smile. "Bernie's another of our family. A no-moon. Though, I'm not sure if she has been around." With her tendency to travel, Yi thinks, she could already be off somewhere.
"Maybe she took off with Matt and had a honey moon or some shit. Both of 'em are missing." Alicia says with a shrug of her shoulders. "They may have taken off to Steel Angel."
Olga is lost in all this, but doesn't really care, as she has food in front of her. She sets about shovelling chow mein into her as if intake of slippery noodles were perfect compensation for not knowing what anyone's talking about.
"How long's it been since anybody saw her?" Craig asks around a mouthful of food. "We talkin' weeks, months...?" He looks between the two 'vets' for clarification.
"A year." Alicia simply says.
Yi again casts her eyes off in a direction as she turns back the clock in her head. "Months," she says faintly. "At least, before Halloween."
Olga shrugs, hunching her shoulders, and puts down her plate. There's a loud pop as she rips open the bag of chips.
Craig pauses mid-chew. "Aight...so...how worried should we be?" he asks, digging into his food again. "She know anythin' that could screw us over real bad, 'r anythin' like that?"
Alicia shakes her head. "Bernie is cool. She always wanders around. Just a curious new moon in seek of wisdom. Been like that shortly after Trouble broke up."
Yi seems to believe that there's no reason to really worry. "She has many family members down in Los Angeles, so I think Alicia's theory of her going to visit them, or stay with them, could be the best guess. She can take care of herself, surely." She tosses a couple of eggrolls onto her plate, taking a bite out of one and swallowing it with some vague chewing. "We could ask the members of the Steel Angel sept, perhaps."
Olga is to potato chips what the cookie monster is to cookies, only slightly less messy and not quite as hairy. In they go. She doesn't seem to be paying much attention to the conversation.
"Got anybody in particular we contact down there?" Craig asks, polishing off his plate and getting up for more. Another look at Squeaks, then he picks up the pup's chew-toy and delivers it to her, tickling her belly before going back to get a bit more food.
"I do. I got friends down there that I used to pack with. Francisco and Quentin." Alicia says from the back.
Yi tips her head at Alicia's statement. Good thing the galliard's there. "If not, I'm sure there is kin in Chinatown," she offers despite the sense of heaviness in her stomach.
Craig glances from Alicia to Yi as he takes a seat again. "So who gets in touch with 'em? I c'n, if y'want, but if Quentin 'n' Francisco 'r more familiar with you, Alicia, maybe you should give 'em a poke?" The newly refilled plate has pizza and chow mein, together at last, and is accompanied by a big bottle of Coke.
"They are just a cell phone away." Alicia says, finishing off the egg roll that she was currently holding in her lap.
Yi looks to her packleader and 'sister', then nods. "Better to ask them first before bothering the strangers. Then, I believe, the rest of the news consists of Auntie Meiran leaving for Singapore to continue her teachings there, and leaving us to care for the Yellow River. And... there was the cub Olga was taking care of... Kay?"
Olga answers quickly, even while munching on potato chips: it seems she's been paying attention after all. "Kay's gone," she announces. "She wen' back to the pack 'at found 'er, t' my friend Sylvia. They're wanderers, Road Warders, they'll toughen 'er up a bit, 'at's the idea at least," Olga further explains. Her voice is blank and expressionless, and she goes back to eating her chips.
Craig falls silent for the moment, wrapped up in the culture clash going on in his mouth and stomach. He nods to Olga's words, chewing away.
Yi nods with Olga's reply, tying up that end in her mind. "There is also the question of..." she pauses significantly, "who attacked our safe havens from before."
Olga chews a little more quietly, now, and listens carefully, and says a rather pointless, "That happened b'fore I got here."
"Thought it was a Spiral with a bomb 'r somethin'?" Craig asks. "We know anythin' beyond that?" He sets the plate down on his lap, focused on Yi.
"Do you remember the name of the company? It spelled out the initials, BSD. I can try and track them down." Alicia says.
Yi suppresses the urge to growl, but there's not much else she can say. "I'm afraid the scent might be cold now. But if they were Spirals, then they deserve a bit of payback."
Olga returns to munching at her chips, looking around herself at the others, sitting on her crate. She gives Squeaks a little smile and wave, but the Metis doesn't seem interested in returning them.
Craig picks up his plate again. "Aight. So we got th' Katanas t'take out, th' apartment 'n' th' fuckers who blew up our shit t' investigate, 'n' I got t'talk t' Megan 'bout Squeaks, 'n' to th' other tribal elders 'bout where we're standin' 'bout now." He takes a bite out of the pizza, then rests his gaze on each of the others in turn. "That 'bout right fer now?"
"The Zoo's Umbra," Olga offers between mouthfuls of chips. "Gotta clean that up, too."
Yi narrows her eyes at that, and nods. "The Zoo's Umbra. Along with what you said. Sounds good."
"That is going to get us killed." Alicia says in reply of the Zoo Umbra. "When we hopped in there last, we got hit with an army, and we had some ranking Garou with us. That is not cool at all. At this rate, we'll be having quite a battle with them, especially if they snag us upon traveling through the worlds. A suggestion, would be to travel to here, from the park, where its a small glade and not as many weaver or wyrm spirits."
Yi glances back at Alicia. "From here to the Park is a long way," she warns.
"Th' Zoo Umbra, we c'n take time on. Figure out a plan, see if we c'n get spirit allies up 'n arms with us," he says, looking at Alicia. "How big a priority we want t'make it?"
Olga looks over at Alicia, and nods. "Yeah, I's thinkin' before we go, I could get t' the park and get a pigeon-spirit to scout out the place for us, first. They're gettin' to like me, 'cause I feed their Realm-side buddies," she offers. "Try 'nd see what's there before we go in." Olga turns to Craig, and her eyes narrow a little, surprised. "A big fuckin' priority," she declares.
"But," Yi adds with an afterthought, "Better than being trapped and attacked halfway there. Our pack totems were ..." Well, judging by her expression it was nearly a slaughter.
"Who gives a shit if its a long walk. You got two legs. Use 'em. We're Garou, not pansies, we should not need to be afraid of walking the Umbra." Alicia says with a shrug of her shoulders. "We just need to stop being scared of it."
"So, top of th' list?" Craig says, looking between Yi and Olga. "Keep our heads, make smaller, sharper strikes, we c'n take out loads of 'em. Fight like a no-moon."
Yi blinks, and then turns her eyes off from Alicia. Stung, perhaps, by the comment. She simply nods, and then looks back to Craig. "First, secure some help from the sept. The city Umbra is, like it or not, still the Sept's responsibilty as well."
Alicia reaches over to poke lightly at Yi, letting out a bit of a breath, a sigh perhaps. She gives her a quick smile. "Yah, fight like a no moon. Yi, you got the best gifts out of all the Raggies here. That and your amazing ability to not get touched in battle would make you a great scout of the place here. I'm thinking there is a shit load of spiders, right? So, they got a nest."
Olga looks around, and then nods at Craig. "Very top," she agrees, "well, after Squeaks. But we shouldn' be scrappin' with vampires until that's done. They come by and torch the Zoo, we'll need some place t' run to, eh?"
It's hard to stay mad, considering the comment wasn't any deliberate attempt at insult after all. Yi relents a bit, if only to guard against the galliard's boast for her. "Hardly," she retorts half-heartedly. "That last battle with the spiders, no one was left unmarked." The battle scars are there to prove it. "Olga speaks truth. Vampires are... not above being dirtier fighters than the things in the sewers."
"So, Squeaks, blood suckers, then Zoo?" Alicia asks, cracking her knuckles. "I spoke with big dog Salem about the Vamps and I'm going to be drawing up a blue print of an entrance an exit. This time I'm not going to pussy out an just watch 'em across the street. I'm in it for the kill now."
Craig nods to Alicia. "Sounds like maybe Zoo first, but if y'c'n drum up some support fer th' leech hunt, that'd go a long way t'wards things goin' smoother."
Yi doesn't seem to have a difficult time determining which she'd rather kill first, but she leaves her bloodlust unvoiced.
Olga glances over at the Child of Gaia, and then sets into her chips again. "'F you can get the cadavers all figured out 'nd cornered, we'll stand right by y', 'm sure, but until then, we gotta get our house in order," she says quietly.
"Alright. The vamps can be a city Sept thing in my opinion, not just a Gnawer thing, but, if we can get R.A.T. to set up the attack, it'll at least shut up those who want to bad mouth any of us and they can't question our glory." Alicia rises upwards, brushing dust off her jeans. "If you need any help regarding the zoo, I know I can drum up the help as well. Lots of eager Garou are wanting to taste blood. They are getting bored.
Yi, hardly bored, but keeps on inclining her head or nodding. "Then, this bored Garou is going to get some things done as well."
"Could prolly use it," Craig says, setting his empty plate aside. "We done here? Was gonna see if I could get inta see Megan t'night."
Olga stretches and scratches herself, and then gets up to grab herself another slice of pizza. "We're done, I think," she agrees with Craig. "Congrats, looks like y'll be Elder f'r a while, yet," she says with a faint grin, before filling her mouth with food. "I gotta get to the Farm," she says, mouth full.
Yi clears her throat. "I'll clean up here," she mentions as well, since Raul seems to have Squeaks under wraps.
"I'll help ya out, Yi." Alicia says, heading over to her sister's side, gathering up the boxes.
Olga smiles even more broadly at Yi, and then at Alicia. "Hey, thanks, Yi, Ali. That noodle stuff was pretty good, after all, eh?" she says, retrieving her bag, and moving to the door. "G'bye, guys," she says, as the boards are moved to make an opening. "Things 're lookin' up, eh?"
Yi returns the smile with a ghostly one of her own. "Yes, they are. See you later, Olga." Then she sets to recovering the aluminum foil pan and slipping unfinished pizza into transportable boxes and whatnot.
