Barnyard
The lane wends its way back and around the farmhouse to here, where it widens into a broad, grassy sward contained only by the woods which encircle it on three sides. Buildings break up the purity of the landscape: an open-sided structure which serves as a garage and the big barn, empty of livestock, to the east. A good-sized vegetable and herb garden furrows the land south of the barn, while a pyramid-like pile of rocks, of similar consistency to the gravel of the lane, rests a few yards south of the garage.
North of the buildings, the fields have long been fallow, hastening a conversion from farmland to natural prairie. A sliding glass door allows admittance to the farmhouse, the interior obscured by Levolor(tm) blinds in a wood-grain pattern. The lane leads out around the house to the southwest. The discerning can just barely pick out the beginnings of a faint path into the woods towards the southeast.

Brom dips his head in a nod again, then takes in another deep breath of air, filling his lungs. "Good to have you home again, Jarl." He says in a way of farewell, then starts for the barn.
Signe lets the younger Get slip off, but she doesn't quite head home yet herself. Having been away for a while, she takes another moment to simply look around the barnyard--especially toward the deeper woods.
As the Get Forseti starts on his way towards the barn, crunching gravel on the lane indicates the presence of another approaching the farmhouse. That crunching slows, as there is a Gnawer ragabash whose eyes catch sight of pair in the barnyard. "Hello?" Yi calls out, lifting a hand to wave at the two.
Brom pauses in his trek and glances over to the Gnawer, then turns slowly, standing at attention as his arms cross over his chest.
[look Brom (homid)]
Standing tall about six foot five, Brom has the body of a brick wall. He obviously works out on an obsessive basis. His arms are thick and his chest broad, giving off the look of perhaps a well in shape football player. He has a pair of intense blue eyes that always seem to border on anger, and a well developed scowl.
Brom has long hair to about his shoulders, a dirty dark blonde that is typically tied up into a tight pony tail, pulled back from his head. He has a jagged looking scar along his neck that dips down into his shirt, and a few more along his arms that appear to have been made by claw marks. He tends to dress very plainly, a pair of beat up blue jeans with slashes and holes in them, a tight fitted black muscle shirt and a beat up looking leather jacket. Shit kicker boots adorn his feet and a large belt buckle with the picture of an axe on it.
[look Signe (homid)]
She's not what most would call pretty. Terms like delicate and petite would never be attributed to her, and come to think of it, neither would lady-like. She looks to be in her late twenties, standing roughly between 5'10" and 6'. Her powerful frame carries a full 175 pounds, all of it undoubtedly muscle. Shoulder length black hair hangs straight, not set in any particular style. She wears no makeup, having neither the time nor the care to put any effort into such things, though she does sport several earrings and tattoos. Her eyes are a dark, unremarkable brown that manage to look angry a good deal of the time, whether she is or not. If there is a traditionally attractive aspect to her at all, it would be her finely crafted cheekbones and elegant jaw-line. They give her an air of nobility otherwise lost in her rough and uncompromising nature.
She's dressed in old, well worn jeans. Dirty, chocolate brown work boots catch the bottom edges, and a white t-shirt clings to her well-toned frame. A creased black leather jacket hangs loosely over her shoulders. It's at least two sizes too big for her.
Signe turns at the call to catch the Gnawer's approach. "Hey," she answers, her posture much more relaxed and casual than the half-moon's. "I hear you're tracking some shit-eating Spirals for us."
Yi gets closer, diverting off the path to the house and heading into the barnyard. Not too long, the recognition sets in as Yi's eyes fix on the face in the dark. "Signe! Good evening... long time no... see." The ragabash's eyes swing down, noticeably, the Jarl's body as if expectant. Then, slipping back up, she nods slightly. "I heard from Eamon." Brom's presence is not ignored. "When did you return?"
Signe answers. "Couple days ago. There were some...details that needed tying up. But it's done now. So, I'm back." The Jarl looks much as she did before the pregnancy, except for perhaps a slight weight gain. Her usual leather jacket covers over the rest of the cosmetic changes. In essence, the only real difference with the Jarl is a subtle, calmer nature, oddly enough. "So, tell me," she says. "What did Eamon say?"
The Forsetti simply grows quiet and listens to the pair of Fostern talk, soaking up the conversation.
Yi curls a hand behind her, a mixed expression between a smile and a frown battling out on separate subjects. "I only caught impressions, from his link with me, but Resonance will be searching them out. And, I think, Requiem is asked to accompany us as back up." The newmoon wets her lips, gaze once again shifting towards Brom a moment before shifting back. "If we are lucky, we will take them when we find them, if possible." Then, quietly she adds, "You are looking... better."
Signe frowns, glancing to Brom before turning back to the ragabash. "From what Brom told me, there's a good chance there are a lot more of them than we've seen. He's also said that these Dancers have become part of my adren challenge, which means, once their found I'd appreciate being told, first, so we can get the right amount of Gaia's Rightous Anger to bring down on their heads. Good?"
Brom dips his head in a nod. "That is correct, Yi Rhya. I have made them her task." He quietly clears his throat. "But, we are more than welcome to accompany Resonance on your scouting mission to back you up if need be."
Yi tilts her head a touch, accepting the ahroun's words with a glance to Brom again. "Then, our mission will be scouting to provide you with the best and most accurate information possible." The Gnawer looks back to the Get Jarl, a new light glinting in her eye. "I look forward to looking to calling you Rhya once more."
Signe shows her teeth in a small smile. "I have a feeling there will be plenty of fight for all of us. The more the merrier." With a nod to both, she begins to walk back toward the lane and her waiting Harley. Before she disappears, she calls back, "I'll be at the brownstone. Keep me up to date."
"Yes'M." Brom says with a nod of his head, tight faced and squared shoulders back. Glancing over to Yi, he leans over and punches her in the shoulder, then starts for the Barn again.
Yi nods again, a hand lifting to act as her wave to the departing ahroun. "Oh!" Just a quick interruption. "Signe... Congratulations."
Signe pauses in her departure, turns back to Yi and grins. "Thanks."
Yi rubs her shoulder afterwards, eyeing the direction which Brom disappeared to, before turning for the farmhouse.
