Shore Around Half Moon Pool
The shadowy canopy of evergreens recedes here, opening into a small clearing. The grass underfoot is a vibrant young green, luxurient and seemingly soft to the touch; small flowers, some purple and others blue or yellow, add to the spread of color. Immediately to the east, the ground rises into a small, rocky outcropping, at the base of which stands a large pool of crystal clear water; the barest rivulet of a stream wends its way south and west from the pool across the clearing, losing itself in the forest. This whole area has about it a sense of peace and silence; the air is cool and fresh, the scent of the flowers pleasant, the colors of the forest in seemingly perfect balance. Anything not pristine or natural seems almost a world away to you here.
The half-moon shaped pool lies just to the east. A faint trail seems to follow the little stream southwest into the forest.

Forest Half Moon Pool
Yi makes her way to the half moon pool, a light sweat shining on her forehead from the trek between city and wood. Looking up towards the sky, she seems to be check on the time of day by light alone, approximating shortly before gazing around.
Truth-Stalker is waiting at the pool with Blackriver. Both in lupus.
Blackriver is sitting by the Half Moon Pool, tail dangling in the water. She's breathing deeply, the moon weighing heavily on her, and occasionally glancing over towards Justin nearby. When she sees Yi she slowly raises her snout upwards and woofs out a brief hello.
"Good evening," Yi greets the both of them. Her maintaining of distance is obvious, both in tone and in manner. The moon might be on her shoulders, but she's got a decent control over what goes on inside. "I received your message to come. What is it you need of me?"
Truth-Stalker gives a bit of a frustrated chuff then shifts up to Glabro. "Please take either Crinos or a four legged form. Blackriver does not understand English. She does understand the other tongues. And I don't want to have to translate everything tonight." From his tone it is clear that Justin is a bit irritated as he shifts back down to hispo and stays in the larger wolf form.
Blackriver also blurs upwards into hispo, ~You came.~ She notes tersely, looking the Gnawer over. ~I have the gift to tell truth from lie on now.~ She says, ~We want to speak with you - we heard that you have aided known Charach's before and we want to know if it is true.~ There's a tenseness, an anger, sketched out under her fur, and she's obviously putting quite a bit of effort into not letting it loose.
Yi looks towards the sky for yet another moment, obliging with a slide upwards towards her warform, and stopping there. Clothing disappears, replaced by the scarred up fur, height, and muscle. ~I have no reason to lie about my past. It is all written here,~ she replies with a sweep of her clawed hand over her, indicating thsoe scars. ~So, yes. My tribal elder at the time, Sees-True, had unknowingly mated with a Garou who I found out later was my tribemate to be as well, Snake-Bait.~ Her ears flicker back against her head, her tension showing itself much more fully in this form.
Truth-Stalker glances at Blackrivr then back at Yi. ~So you have aided Charachs twice. Do you have no respect for the litany?~
Blackriver says nothing, only flicking her ears once, looking to Runner, and waiting for her to speak.
~I do not mate with other Garou myself, do I?~ Runner retorts with an annoyed snap of her jaws.
Truth-Stalker gives a sudden snarl of irritation, and paces a bit along the edge of the pool. After a moment he looks back at Runner. ~Do you? Answer not in a question.~ It is clear he thinks the way it was phrased could be a trick.
[From afar, Truth-Stalker is turning on truth of gaia.]
Blackriver cants her head to the side and ignores her tribemate, instead focusing on Runner. ~How did you help them?~ She asks the Ragabash, the calm-before-the-storm sense prevalent in her voice.
Baring her teeth at Truth-Stalker, the ragabash clicks her jaws together once again, biting down on an unspoken volley. ~Of course not!~ she answers with a clearly offended glare at the homidborn Fang. She turns that glare upon the other halfmoon for a long moment, before calming visibly. ~I was asked to keep the secret. I was told the metis would be sent away to another sept and raised there. I did not know that it would be brought back, at a moot no less, claimed to be the child of another. I did not know that the mother would use Fox to lie to the halfmoons about the metis' parentage. I was a cliath then, to her fostern. I was a fool. I was the one to reveal to those who asked me, Brings-the-Buffalo-Home, Runs-At-Dawn, the one then known as Fights-For-Hope, now our Warder, Reflection. And I was punished for it, as were all the others who kept the secret.~
Truth-Stalker gives a little snarl, his tension clear. He doesn't continue his interrogation though and paces a little as he glances to Blackriver.
Blackriver considers Runner a moment before speaking. ~You say you were foolish, but you helped Charachs again.~ She observes, shifting her weight slightly. ~How were you punished?~
~The Voice of the Jackal, placed upon me by Firewatcher-rhya,~ the Gnawer fostern continues, bristling but keeping herself quite still. ~My only excuse for my actions when I chased after Power-in-the-Darkness and let him go after nearly killing him, are not worth speaking of.~
Truth-Stalker twists around. ~Even if they are not worth speaking, please... speak them.~
Blackriver flicks her ears in agreement with Truth-Stalker.
~I... was overtaken with shame. Anger. Rage, at hearing who the other charach was,~ Runner states, her tone wavering in its tightness. ~Kills-the-Cries. I had had my doubts. He was my cub. I thought he might not survive his Rite of Passage, but he did. Only to do this? Who is in the wrong, the pupil or the teacher?~ The fostern growls low, gathering her thoughts. ~For one moment, I thought to kill Power-in-the-Darkness. Kill him, and kill my tribemate, for what they claimed to have done. Of course I remembered Sees-True. How could I forget? But I have shed enough blood to fill ten thousand lifetimes. I saw no good in killing them - they were not of the Wyrm, and no metis would come of their union. At the same time, I was blinded by my emotions and let them go. I told Power-Up that he and Kills-the-Cries were dead to me, from that point on.~ Her eyes drop, and she shakes her head slowly. ~Leaves-None-Behind would have such a fool to follow,~ her comment growls out self-reflexively. Then her eyes lift back up to gaze upon the two halfmoons. ~I did not want to help them as Litany breakers. Only that I wished them to live, to fight again for Gaia. I had a feeling, if they had stayed any longer within my reach, I would have killed them. The only way I could have stopped was to assume they had ran.~
Truth-Stalker listens and seems some what stunned.
Blackriver seems rather unfazed by all this, flicking her ears in acknowledgment of the Ragabash's words. ~Thank you. That is all we need to know. Unless you or Truth-Stalker have anything to add.~
Runner considers this for some time, before looking to both halfmoons. ~I would listen to why you chose to punish Leaves-None in the same way as it was decided for me.~
Truth-Stalker turns a bit, his tail flicking in irritation. ~You should have known better.~ He chuffs then glances at Blackriver, to see if she will answer the question.
Blackriver's ear slide back a little. ~You both were guilty of the same crime: letting the Charachs go. That you are Fostern and she Cliath does not change the fact of the crime. You both should have known better.~
~So swing the gourds in the wind,~ Runner rumbles, decidedly neutral in her reaction to the reply. ~Should haves and would haves are not the realms of the halfmoons is it not? Only that which has already been done.~ Her tail twitches behind her, restless despite her still form as she drops into silence, standing there.
Truth-Stalker gives a snort. ~You let them go. You are a Fostern and you let them go. This is the what of what has been done.~
Blackriver looks positively baffled by Runners reply. ~Do you have any objections to our judgment?~ She asks after a moment with a huff. ~If not than we are done.~
~I need not be told about what I have done,~ Runner growls towards Truth-Stalker. ~I was not objecting, either.~ At the lupus' words, the fostern turns and starts to leave, shifting down to her breed form before walking away.
Blackriver watches the Gnawer leave wordlessly and than pads off into the woods.
