Farmhouse: Hallway and Living Room
All doorways in the front part of the house lead to the front hallway, a J-shaped area with the short tail starting at the stairs, the front door hitting the bottom curve, the doorless opening to the living room halfway up the long side, and the also doorless opening to the kitchen and dining room at the very top. The hall has a simple wooden floor, and decorated with a generic print of soft-colored flowers hanging on the wall to the right of the front door, and a tall table sitting under the print which serves as a place to toss keys. A closet under the stairs serves as a place to hang coats or to toss shoes.
The doorless opening to the living room is halfway up the side of the hall's J, and the word cozy might spring to mind when looking into is, as it seems to radiate comforting vibrations. A long couch sits against the south wall beneath a large bay window curtained only by sheers that manages to obscure the view in but only filters the day's light. A variety of out-of-date magazines are strewn atop a low coffee table; more neatly presented are the plethora of books filling the small bookshelves which line the eastern wall. Three chairs sit about the room, focused inward, to allow group conversations. Large floor pillows are stacked in one corner of the room, except one, which lies carelessly in the middle of the floor, apparently left out the last time it was used.
An opening in the northern end of the hallway allows access to the kitchen and dining room at the back of the house, while carpeted stairs twist up at the other end of the hall, leading to the second floor. A door at the base of the J lets out to the front porch.

Kitchen/Dining Room Front Door STairs
Mathias is in the living room of the farmhouse, a journal held between his knees as he writes something in it. He seems a bit occupied, and quite a bit different from last many have seen him.
Back at the safehouse, Sean's sitting on the couch reading a book on Native American architecture. He closes it on his thumb to save his place and looks up curiously. "Hello?"
The doorbell rings insistently again, along with Yi's voice raised, audible through the barrier. "Sean? Get your things. We are going." The full moon clips her tone, making it sound a little bit short but not focusedly hostile.
Sean blinks in suprise and moves to earmark the page he was on, then realizes he just started the book and doesn't need to. "Umm, all my things? Are we going for good?" He slowly stands up from the couch and stretches his arms over his head.
"Anything you think you couldn't live without," Yi states, apparently leaving it to the cub to decide what is essential. Abruptly turning, she heads back to the Mystery Mobile, so dubbed because of the mystery of how the beat up classic manages to continue running. She slips into the driver's side, drumming her fingers along the steering wheel while waiting.
Sean makes quick time, since Basil already prepped him to collect his things. Sean comes out the front door lugging a small box, mostly full of warm clothes, and puts it in the back, then holds up a finger. "Wait a sec." He runs to the door and locks it, then jogs back to the car and hops in. "So, what's the big hurry?"
It's not easy getting into the Mystery Mobile. Yi actually has to open the passenger side door from within, now. Once they're in, a couple of false starts and a wheezing rev later, they're on the road. And she isn't exactly the safest of drivers, though she appears to be taking it more carefully, not actually going at any pushed speeds until they reach the highway towards the farm. "There is no hurry," she answers him, "Only that I a few meetings to meet with later." The ragabash doesn't detail them out, focusing instead on the road all the way to the gravel lanes. Sean is left free to try and get the radio to pick up more than just static.
Sean doesn't bother with the radio much, except to turn it off after flipping stations a few times and finding nothing. "Man, I can't believe we are going to live in the woods. I'm going to get so bored..." He crosses his arms across his chest with a sigh, propping his fist under his chin to lean on the door and look at the passing scenery.
It's actually not incredibly far away from the city, at least in lupus or marathon runner's terms, but the drive is a fair trip. Once they pull into the gravel lane, Yi parks it on the side a ways from the farmhouse. No sense in drawing attention with the Mystery Mobile's loud engine. "You would be surprised how very interesting it can become out here, or if you appeared so bored, how interesting your elders can make your life," she comments back, stepping out of the car. Once they make their way to the farmhouse, Yi raps on the door twice before making her way in, bidding Sean follow behind her.
Mathias dosn't answer the door. But, he can probably be seen from it. It dosn't even stop his journal work, seeming obssessed with it to a degree. None the less, Mathias exists, and isn't dead...and that's a good thing, right?
Sean glances at Yi through the windows reflection, a slight grin creeping up his face. "This isn't me complaining." He reaches down and cranks the window down as the car pulls up, still talking. "This is me saying goodbye to humanity..." Leaning against the frame of the stubborn door to reach his arm and head out the window, he looks back down the road at the trailing dusts cloud as the car comes to a stop. "Au Revoir comfort living..." His gaze lingers as the joke hangs, maybe not so much a joke. He takes his time to turn back in his seat and take in the farmhouse, unbuckles, and steps out of the car. "Wait... is this /the farmhouse/?"
Yi doesn't exactly answer with anything but a leading of the cub into the abode and gesture for Sean to have himself a look. It's really a nice house, purposely cozy and homey. It just happens to be missing some 'comforts' of the city, like television and telephones. As the fostern makes her way in further through the hallway, she spies Mathias with journal. "Good evening," she greets him, rather neutrally for one so Satired.
Mathias looks up after a moment to Yi, and looks right through her before he responds "Welcome." his voice and tone are cold, but worse are his eyes. There's no joy there anymore. He watches Yi, and likely Sean for a few moments before looking back to his book again.
Sean lingers near the door when he steps in, looking around. "Hey, this isn't so bad... better than it sounded. Should I-" Halting mid sentence when he spots Mathias, he quickly lights up, smiling and greeting the freshly equal "cub", "Hey Mathias! Didn't know you'd be here." His smiles and excited tone fades as he catches eyes with Mathias and notices his obvious sadness, and watches him with look of confused concern, at a loss for words. He falls on what he was about to say before as a crutch, meeker now. "Um, should I get my stuff?"
Yi turns from Mathias, putting him aside in her mind momentarily as she nods to Sean. "You can sleep in here, or in the barn, that is your choice for now. I would warn you the other can be rather cold at night without fur." A brief glance is sent back over her shoulder at Mathias, though she leaves him be for now.
Mathias looks at the pair for a moment, "Don't sleep in the barn the next week. There's a hurt garou who's a bit snapish. Give him his peace." before he turns away. No hi, no smile, no wave. He just sits back down and writes more in the journal of his.
Sean nods, slowly closing the door. "That's fine, I'd rather sleep inside." He crosses the room, looking it over with seeming indifference, not impressed or disappointed. "Who's the hurt garou?" he queries with a curious tone that implies he might want to go say hi despite the warning.
"One of those who went on the Revel, perhaps," Yi replies as an afterthought. "I heard they had found Wyrmspawn just past the northern edge of the bawn." The fostern continues looking at Mathias' ministrations, and then stage-whispers to Sean. "There might be more than one hurt Garou in this house. You best be wary."
Mathias just gives a comment, "It's Abraxis-Rhya. If you bring him food, have some first. His spine is like a pretzel."He dosn't seem to be jumping for joy at that thought, but, what can he do?
"I guess it's not a success until someone gets hurt. Sean hovers by Mathias and leans on the sofa's arm, directly ignoring Yi's warning, noting meaningfully at Mathias in a dry tone, "Aren't we supposed to be proud of our war wounds?" His expression is nearly blank, but there's a touch of optimism in his eyes, and he smiles when he turns back to Yi to say, "I won't need to be wary if I can be helpful..."
A small smile finds its way to Yi's features, though Mathias' bland report does draw her concern. A low, contemplative murmur in her native tongue escapes her before she straightens up and checks a watch on her wrist. One of three, actually, plus a visible holster for some metallic throwing knives it looks like, as she pushes her sleeve back momentarily to check the time. "Aiya, I'm going to be late. Sean," she says as her sleeve slips back down over her arm and wrist, "take your time and have a look around. There are two things you should know about this farmhouse first. One, if you run, you will be caught. Two, if you are caught, you will regret it." She says these two almost as pleasantly as if this were rainbows and sunshine to be discussed. Another once-over is given to Mathias before she turns to depart again. Her hand pauses with the door half open. "Oh yes, one more thing. No shifting unless you are in the barn. I will be back later on."
Mathias dosn't look to Sean, "No wounds of war are present, just scars of a survivor, having already been lead to the slaughter once." he dosn't respond to Yi except to comment. "If you must escape, walk, do not run, to the nearest exit. Please recycle your trash in the bin." Maybe he's a bit crazy too? "Return when complete."
Sean raises his eyebrows at Mathias with a smirk, and pats his back gently as he alleges, "You survived, that's the important thing." He passes the sofa to face Yi. "So, you're ditching me here..." he grumbles, drooping his head. "Let me get my stuff then..." Sean trudges past to the door and gets his box from the car, coming back into the house with an audible groan, "Damnit, I forgot my book..."
Yi gives Mathias a confused sort of blink, but then shrugs and leaves the door open long enough for Sean to have retrieved his things. "There are plenty of books in the farmhouse to read. Should you see Cole, he is Caretaker. You follow his words if he tells you to do something in regard to this house. I will be back," she replies to him only, and then makes her way out of the door without further delays.
