Farmhouse: Hallway and Living Room
All doorways in the front part of the house lead to the front hallway, a J-shaped area with the short tail starting at the stairs, the front door hitting the bottom curve, the doorless opening to the living room halfway up the long side, and the also doorless opening to the kitchen and dining room at the very top. The hall has a simple wooden floor, and decorated with a generic print of soft-colored flowers hanging on the wall to the right of the front door, and a tall table sitting under the print which serves as a place to toss keys. A closet under the stairs serves as a place to hang coats or to toss shoes.
The doorless opening to the living room is halfway up the side of the hall's J, and the word cozy might spring to mind when looking into is, as it seems to radiate comforting vibrations. A long couch sits against the south wall beneath a large bay window curtained only by sheers that manages to obscure the view in but only filters the day's light. A variety of out-of-date magazines are strewn atop a low coffee table; more neatly presented are the plethora of books filling the small bookshelves which line the eastern wall. Three chairs sit about the room, focused inward, to allow group conversations. Large floor pillows are stacked in one corner of the room, except one, which lies carelessly in the middle of the floor, apparently left out the last time it was used.
An opening in the northern end of the hallway allows access to the kitchen and dining room at the back of the house, while carpeted stairs twist up at the other end of the hall, leading to the second floor. A door at the base of the J lets out to the front porch.

Kitchen/Dining Room  Front Door  STairs

Lain out on the couch with an ashtray at his side and three beer bottles beside him on the table, Basil 'sleeps' fully clothed and staring at the ceiling. "Kin." He mutters in one moment, shaking his head. "Women." He adds a second later in an equally disappointed voice.

"Both, a great mystery," Yi fills in from the entry to the living room. How she managed the stealth is perhaps a mystery in and of itself as well. Or, maybe she simply came down the stairs. "Hello, Basil." Walking inside, she comes to a stop by the three beer bottles and sniffs lightly of the air with the cigarette smell. "Smoking should be done outside, you know," she notes half-heartedly enforced.

"Kin," Salee mutters as she shoves open the door to the farmhouse. "/Men/," she growls. "Is it against the Litany to be a lesbian so long as my girlfriend isn't Garou?" The blonde frowns thoughtfully at Basil. Yi's presence hasn't quite registered yet, since she only has eyes for the Garou she trudged out to the countryside to find.

"If Kaz has a problem with it she can yell at me later." Basil murmurs, slowly lifting his body up from the couch with a muted expression. "Both are also a tremendous pain in my ass lately. I swear, the next Kin that leads me on for sex and doesn't put out is getting punched in the balls. Or the cunt, respectfully." Basil sweeps his hand through his hair and yanks himself up to his feet. "So how the hell have you been doing, Runner-Runner and Salee?"

Yi eyes the burning cigarette, and then acquiesces to its presence. Salee's presence is also noticed, and she gets a quick, polite nod of regard. "Hello Salee. And no, it is not against any law of the Garou to be lesbian... but I am no halfmoon." The other girl is eyed for a moment, before Yi's gaze turns. "I am fine," she answers Basil with an added nod.

Salee flops down in a chair heavily. "That /stupid/ son of a bitch is already dating somebody e-" The breath leaves her chest as the Glass Walker suddenly realizes who else has just greeted her. "Oh.. H- Hello, Yi."

"Plenty of girlie Garou like to munch carpet. Ask the Furies sometime, but do it from far away. Anyways." Basil takes out another cigarette and lights it up, putting his feet up on the table. Glancing between the two of them, he chooses to ignore the topic all together and asks Yi. "When are you coming back to the city? It's boring without you. Also, you make better egg rolls than I do."

Yi dips her head again at Salee, ignoring the stutter in the greeting. "Boring?" she then echoes of Basil's words, looking to the ahroun. "St. Claire is a city of a million people, maybe more. And you say it's boring without one?" The ragabash shakes her head, taking a moment to glance to Salee again. A considering expression flits over her face. "About last time..." the fostern starts to say towards the Walker.

"Ten thousand humans aren't as interesting as one Fostern Ragabash, especially not when I can't whine and tug at their jacket going 'Join my pack, join it, join it, join it woman, join meeee'. That and I don't feel like hiking through the freakin' woods every time I want to talk with a friend." Basil adds in, trailing off as it looks like she's about to start a conversation about something important with Salee.

Salee tenses up, like she's expecting a blow. A verbal one, to be sure, but still a blow. She tries to hide her unease by joking to Basil, "Ain't I your friend?"

"I'm sorry if something I did upset you," Yi finishes in her thought. If there is a blow, Yi isn't aware of her own strike. There seems to be more, but the fostern withholds the rest for the moment, looking back to Basil slowly. "I am in a pack," she reminds him. "Under Bear... but a pack nevertheless. One that must be strong."

"That's a stupid question, of course you're my friend." Basil tells Salee with a snort, walking over to sit in her lap and throw an arm across her shoulders. Looking back at Yi, he smirks and tells her. "Yeah, but that ain't a city pack or any pack that lets you leave the damned woods. Just give in and join me already, and maybe Coyote will show up and we can have some fun. He said you should listen to me in the dream, remember?"

"It wasn't you, sister. Trust me," Salee assures. She 'oof's quietly when Basil sits on her lap. "That's right, baby. Come and sit on mama's lap." She wraps her arm around his waist as she jokes.

The look Yi gives Basil and Salee for at least a fleeting moment is pained, nostalgic, and somehow happy at the same time. Then the fostern schools her expression back to a flatter, less readable but still somewhat mixed facade. "I was hoping you could explain," she notes to Salee slowly, "what happened between you two. Not now, but... later. Maybe." And as for Basil, the ragabash looks off with a quick averting of her eyes. "Which dream was that," she asks with a forced dismissiveness.

"The one where me you and Cole were in the thing, and you said we should kill the guy, but I took him with us. He turned out to be an avatar of Coyote, and he blasted us into the ocean. You know what dream I mean, because that was a dream with Coyote. I know a real Ragabash wouldn't forget anything that happened involving The Greatest Trickster." Basil lifts his hand and puts it on Salee's head, turning to look at the Ragabash. "Coyote likes me. He told me so."

Yi turns away, letting out a low sigh. "Basil, please. I know how long it is you've been searching for those who would agree with your philosophies - or just agree with you."

"We don't have to agree on everything to be in a pack together. The most important thing about being in the pack is being a family, after all. Family doesn't always agree with each other, but they always love one another. Besides," Basil puts his hand on his chin, rubbing at it with a smirk. "We could go to a Garou Halloween party together. I can be a Mormon and you can be my wives. It'll be like Big Love." Basil laughs and turns to look at Salee. "Of course I'm not modest about it! Coyote saying he's proud of me is one of the only things a mutt like me /can/ be proud of."

Salee pinches Basil's ass to motivate him to get off of her lap. "You're heavy, asshole. Get off, ya egotistical punk, I need to say somethin' to my fellow Raggie here. I can't look serious with you sittin' on me."

The sliding door in the kitchen can be heard to open and close.

Yi shoves a hand into her pocket, remaining turned away for the most part and staring towards the living room entrance to the hallway. "Sometimes I wonder if He is not setting me up for some great trick," murmurs the fostern. A short phrase in her native tongue is whispered more to herself than to the other pair, though after it is the word "Sepdet". Yi glances over her shoulder back at the pair, looking from ahroun to no-moon.

"Just do it, will you? You've been in the woods long enough and there has to be some things you miss." Basil encourages her, turning to look back at the rousing Salee. Basil stands up and and sticks his tongue out at her, then promptly falls over onto the couch.

"He made his choice." Suddenly serious, Salee clearly expects Yi to know to whom she's referring. "You and I won't have any problem so long as you don't break his heart, okay?"

Soft footsteps pad down the hallway, Yi could catch sight of Saul if she looked in that direction. It takes him a few moments to recognize her, but by the time he reaches the doorway he raises his hand in a short wave. "Hey," he says, speaking softly, "You heading out?"

Yi's teeth grind under Basil's 'encouraging', but the fostern doesn't look annoyed for it so much as... tolerant. Salee's exprssion is enough to get Yi's attention much more fully though, and with a furrowing of her brows together she eventually nods. "I'll do my best," is what the fostern raggie replies with. She turns to go again, though pauses at Saul's appearance. Yi answers him with a nod. "I will be in the woods," she announces. "The woods we... all love so dearly." And then she starts out again.

"How boring. How the hell am I supposed to get a pack together if all my options are either stupid, taken or flat out won't work with me? I swear, if I could just get a spirit to help me by myself I'd have just formed up my own little thing already and kept to myself. This whole pack thing is a tremendous pain in my balls." Basil announces with a grumpy tone of voice, fumbling around on the table for his pack of cigarettes.

Salee glares pointedly at Basil. "You really aren't making me feel like a valued member of this would-be organization, bud."

Saul steps through the living room doorway, allowing Yi to exit if she so desires. He raises an eyebrow as he sees who was speaking but his face is otherwise expressionless, "You are all planning to form a new pack then?" He speaks to the room as a whole, then digs in his pocket and pulls out a small black box, tossing it at Basil. If the Ahroun doesn't move to catch the box it will likely land in his lap. "Finally found something I like. If that offer still stands. If not," he trails off with a shrug, his voice is still neutral.

Yi doesn't turn around as she makes her way out, but she does pause with Basil's lament. "If you are going to appeal to Coyote, you are going to have to be more interesting than that." And with that statement, the fostern disappears down the hallway, followed after by the sound of the glass door opening and sliding shut.
